I cannot agree with the glowing reviews of Randy's, although my encounter occurred about 10 years…read moreago I belive it's still under the same ownership. At that time, Randy was often in the shop and was aware of the situation. I was trying to sell my recently passed mother's older but in very good condition Toyota Cressida. In fact, a man was driving down here from Okahoma to buy the car he had seen online, and did, although I had to reduce the asking price after Randy's got through with it. I took the car to Randy's for a minor repair. They called and told me it was fixed, but when I arrived they couldn't find the car key. I did not have another key because I didn't live here and didn't know where another key might be. They kept the car for more than two weeks and apparently didn't find the key but told me to come get the car. When I arrived, they gave me two keys, one for the ignition, and one for the trunk. (The original key had fit both.) They had removed the original ignition switch and installed a very messy looking different ignition switch (without asking my consent or approval) that stuck out about a half-inch father than the original. They also had torn off the steering wheel column cover and just laid it on the column where if you touched it, it practically fell off. To add insult to injury, when I questioned the hanging-off column cover, they said, "It was like that when we got it." Although, I have lived in Mineral Wells since then and have owned 5 automobiles, I would never let Randy's touch a vehical I own.

It's a husband and wife shop of 28 years longstanding. The phone is always answered pleasantly and knowledgeably by the mechanic's wife and you can also speak to him. I had to make a very delicate (read $$$) decision and I was able to do so intelligently thanks to his technical expertise. They did such quality work on my 2002 automobile. It runs like new. They have a multi-points checklist which they do routinely that returns your car in top shape, and they communicate about any decision needed. Plus an itemized computerized bill which is very reasonable as to labor charges. I am so grateful to have a transmission that works so well. Since TOMMY is no longer there, service has gone completely down hill. We have bought several sets…read moreof tires here. 2 sets for a dually pickup, 3 sets for other vehicles, 2 sets for trailers. Went in Friday to get tires rotated and balanced. I've had my tires rotated and balanced before. It didn't take them 15 minutes to have my vehicle ready. Tires are NOT balanced. My vehicle shakes worse than before. I am very busy this time of year with back to school. I do not have time to go back to let them know. The owners don't really care about their business. If they did, they would understand the worth of having an ADULT run the business. Tommy made sure everyone did their job. Whoever is there now is just skimming the surface and does not give a rip about customer satisfaction.
