My husband and I were on our way for a getaway and 50+ miles east of Ft Stockton texas on I-10,…read more our 2005 Chevy duramax diesel, towing a 24 ft trailer, quit at a rest stop. Cranked but wouldn't turn over. We were stuck in 95 degree heat, dead in the middle of no where. Got ahold of Alpha Tango roadside repair and had the incredible fortune to have Michael come to rescue us. He got us back on the road and directed us to an Rv park outside of town. He suspected a fuel filter problem, and met us at the park, at our site and repaired the problem right at our site. We were overjoyed for his help and impressed by this fine man. He saved our trip. I would highly recommend this company from our experience.

We inquired at the campground when we checked in if there was a Ford dealer in Fort Stockton and was told no. However, the lady checking us in said she knew of a road service crew that could come and check it for us. We had run low on gas but had not run out of gas and thought maybe that was why the check engine light came on. We called the number she gave us and Alpha Tango Road service people showed up at the campground. They ran a scan and said the code said it missed fired. They cleared the check engine light, started it up again and the light was gone. They said everything was fine and it was probably because we were running low on gas. The next day when we started the engine, the check engine light came on again. We called Alpha Tango and were told everything showed good yesterday and if we drove for a few miles, the light would go off. That was utter nonsense. We started slowly loosing power. The further we went, the more power we lost. We finally stopped and found a place to camp. We took it to a place for service and found that we had several spark plugs that were misfiring due to misfiring of fuel rail wiring and spark plugs. We had to replace all 10 fuel ignition coils and spark plugs. What makes this a bad rating for Alpha Tango is they charged us $280 for just clearing the engine light and telling us that since we filled the gas tank, the check engine light would go off as we drove and the gas went through the system. Utter Nonsense!

I brought in a nice and extremely well maintained vehicle with a turbo failure due to high mileage…read morethat they could never get right. I wish they would have been honest about their skill sets, priorities and experience on my vehicle. This is not a clean or professional shop environment whatsoever. Went on more than half a dozen test drives after the sloppy, lazy "mechanic" David would say "good to go" and then could only say "you don't like the new turbo, we can warranty it and you can do a labor claim and we can do it again" instead of finding surrounding issues they caused, and me having to watch for several days while no one would even attempt to make progress with parts in hand. All they want is a revolving door of fools with money. They do not use any sort of program like AllData to bill hours- it's just however long it takes them from when they stumble in the bay doors and stumble back to their RV on site at the end of the day, and you the consumer pay for everything in between to keep their lights on (which are also mostly broken in the main shop anyways). Workers like David sleeping all day in the RV on property midweek because of some random late project the night before while he's in the middle of your truck, and then leaving and going on 5 hours of meal breaks during 9-6 weekday hours with their tinder dates that they try to laugh about later with you. No one can stay on task and finish a project there. They hop around from one semi rolling in to the next. Best to keep limping your vehicle somewhere else, or it might never leave like the rest of the broke down vehicles surrounding the shop. Unfortunately for them- Yo entiendo mucho espanol and I can hear what you're saying about other customers and businesses from outside the bay doors. Then there's several employees calling and harrassing days later and wanting you to take your review down when it's critical. Friendly when they want your money, then sloppy, careless and eventually rude when it counts. My conversations with employees at the shop are recorded and shed light for me now. I played by their rules and gave them all the space they needed, hoping it would be more motivated and respected help and it bit me in the butt for over $6500. After having the vehicle in my possession I found numerous electrical connections ripped from their terminal or harness and/or left unplugged, pipes left unclamped and brackets unbolted. Drained 18 quarts of oil from the crankcase instead of 10. Speculating they set my truck down on concrete blocks and bent transmission crossmember. What kind of "bro why did you leave and not let us finish" response will this get after it was there 6 days..

The driver had asked him if he accepted card as form of payment he had said yes so we thought everything was fine. He completed services. Everything was fine but after he was done repairing the tire, he called me asking me how I was gonna pay him. I told him that the driver had the credit card to make the payment and he told me you know what I'm gonna tell the truth I have problems right now with child support and I can't run your card because they're taking my money away. I explained to him that that's why I have the credit card for emergencies because I couldn't afford to pay him the $460 out-of-pocket at that point cause I had other payments to make he asked me well what can you round up? What can you get me? I told him that if it was going to be Zelle, I could only do 300 Because that's the only thing I had available at the moment And he told me to ask the driver for more so we could give him the full $460 And I told him that I couldn't do that to the driver and he said oh that's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm gonna have to call somebody to take the tire off. I had to call my brother to see if he can lend me some money. He sent me $100 and then I told the driver to tell him to see if he would accept $400 and he still said no and that he was gonna take the tire off so by that point i asked my brother for the other $60. My brother sent me the money and I told him I was gonna pay him and then he said no don't worry about it Just save it so you could pay all the tickets. The DOT is gonna give you because it's my job to inform the DOT when something isn't right and can affect third parties. at that point, I got a call from my driver, letting me know that the DOT had arrived and had told my driver that the DOT was there because he had told them that he was gonna take the tire off and that we we're gonna drive off without any tires by that time. My driver told him that was a lie that he was that he wasn't gonna move at the end the DOT ask driver to show proof of payment and they let him go but this comes to show you how this guys works be careful with this guys if he doesnt get what he wants he will call the dot !

Frustrated, I started calling around and reached BA Easy Towing and Recovery. Brandon, the owner, personally answered early in the morning and immediately eased my frustration. He walked me through exactly what steps I needed to take with my insurance so they could reassign my case to a reliable company. Even though he couldn't come himself because he was based in another city, his professionalism and willingness to help someone who wasn't even his customer spoke volumes. You can tell a lot about a company by how the owner leads, and Brandon showed true care and customer-first service. If he treats a non-customer this well, I have no doubt his paying customers are in excellent hands. Thank you, Brandon, for going above and beyond!

Brandon made the 2.5-hour trip from Fort Stockton the next morning with his wrecker and a spare 3/4-ton pickup driven by his helper. Three hours later, we completed the 7.5-mile trip to my property without damaging the home, which was a major feat--Brandon even had to chain the pickup to the wrecker at one point to make it up the crazy winding hill just before my property. It was an epic journey, and I am beyond grateful to him for his help. I will keep his info on my phone, and you can bet he'll be my one-call if I get in more trouble in the future.
