But I figured I could get them done and if I hated them, could put them in a drawer (or obscure folder on computer) and if I liked them, then hooray! I am delighted to say this was a hooray! Jessica answered the million questions I had before I scheduled with her and made me feel really comfortable that I had made a good choice in photographer before even meeting her in person. She is incredibly sweet and in person definitely made me and my husband feel comfortable during the shoot (we aren't exactly picture type people and generally aren't about having our photos taken), so this was huge for us. It was an actually enjoyable experience. Scheduling was easy and so was communication. Turnaround on proofs and final photos were timely. Pricing is on point and I absolutely appreciate that she was one of the few photographers for maternity and newborn I could find that doesn't force you into a heinously expensive package with order minimums. I bring this up because it was a strong consideration for me when looking for a photographer. I didn't and still don't feel the need to spend $500 on printed photos when I really only want or need a 2-3 hardcopies for my mantle and like having the rest safe digitally and can share with far away family that way (via email/ social media). That said, if you want prints, Jessica can handle that! The photos turned out wonderful and will most decidedly not be being put in a drawer/ obscure folder to be forgotten. I won't hesitate to go to Jessica for my newborn photos and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to you yelpers.

We couldn't be more thrilled with how easy the process was and how beautiful her photos turned out. She was so careful with our new baby (first) and we felt beyond comfortable with her working with him in her studio. We came back again for a mini-session for Mother's Day which was so special and a priceless chance to catch those photos you want, but never seem to be able to get yourself. As a Mom, I find I have tons of snaps of my son with everyone else, but none of just the two of us. It was great to have that chance to get those action snapshots and we look forward to doing more mini-sessions with Heather over the years. We recently also did my son's One Year pictures and Cake Smash. She provided great information ahead of time so we knew exactly how to prepare before the shoot and what to expect. She had wonderful design ideas and took our ideas and desires into account from the beginning. My son seemed to be a bit shy around new people, very active and was more interested in the blackberries than his (delicious!!) cake. Despite this unpredictability in a toddler, Heather was able to work with him during our session to get amazing shots and catch those smiles that we will treasure for years to come. Her process of online photo review and downloading is easy and seamless. It was very easy for me to share with family and get things distributed and ordered right away. We previously had her six months photoshoot done elsewhere and it was very unpleasant to say the least. We loved that she took the time out to accommodate my daughter's needs. We recently found out my daughter is allergic to frosting. She took the time out to research a solution. She ended up with a watermelon "cake" with sugar free whipped cream that my daughter really enjoyed. Absolutely loved the decorations and how pleasant she is to work with.
