Lived here 2 years and absolutely dislike it. Between ignorant dog owners and a manager who could care less.

Great location and lots to do. Great views of Boston and water views are perfect. Highly recommend…read morethe maintenance staff is awesome

Just an overall terrible experience. It should be labeled as a college dorm and nothing else. Walls…read moreare paper thin and tenants are disrespectful. Pray you don't get a troglodyte living above you because you will be hearing the stomps and scapes of all their movement. It's Like a damn marauders map. Rats are a HUGE problem if you're living on the first floor as for the doors don't touch the ground and the garbage is for sure an afterthought to building maintenance. Let's not even get started on the parking issues. Let alone the constant parading in the parking lots and extremely disrespectful kids yelling at all hours of the night. Washing your clothes you may ask? 3 damn dollars a load, 3. damn. dollars. For 1 load. Had to live here to get through the rest of my transfer degree at UMass and at first it looks enticing because of the nice amenities but its just a front. This place sucks. The only way you can "live" sanely here is by, in fact, not living here. This place is awful. Do not live here. Its expensive for no reason and everything about it is just abysmal. They lure you in with "nice" amenities but this place was the most stressful living environment ever. They'll try and have someone say something under this post to save face but its really just a pathetic attempt to make themselves not look bad. They do not care about your positive or negative reviews because at the end of the day they still make their money and we're still suckers for buying into their lease. DO NOT BE A SUCKER.

This has been the most unprofessional leasing experience I've ever had. Jessica, the leasing agent,…read moreassured me our unit would have a balcony--only for us to be placed in a unit without one. Her manager, Caroline, got involved and both promised to move us into the correct unit the following month. A new lease was drafted with that date clearly written in. Now, just days before the move, I'm told the current tenants extended their stay and we can't move in for another month. No warning, no accountability, no solution. Because I trusted the move-in date they confirmed in writing, I spent over $1,400 on furniture that can't fit into the current unit and on an event planned around this move--including a party planner, catering, and a cake. Save yourself the stress. Beautiful units mean nothing when management can't keep their word or manage basic logistics.

The dog population is too high with dogs barking at each other and the children on and off the elevators, elevators are broken or not working often lately... only one working elevator this week. No play area for children on site, only for dogs and trash built up and rodents moving in. Other than that they are raising rents to support the renovations being done for everyone else and their dogs. I'm sure they will be perfect to any new future residents however to secure more revenue.

I have been living here for almost two years and have very few if any negative things to say about…read morethe complex. I have found management and maintenance to be incredibly responsive and helpful, specifically when there was a fire in the building due to another residents negligence. The unit was updated when we moved in with new carpet and a new fridge and dish washer when we moved in, which at least the flooring seems pretty standard from what I have seen as other units flip over. Plus is so nice being near the Boston Harbor, and offers beautiful amenities (and parking) for a reasonable price, in Boston terms. Hard to find what we have now anywhere else in the Boston area.

I moved to Harbor Point after ignoring the reviews I read online with my fiancé and I regret it. We…read morestupidly signed a lease for a one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors but weren't allowed to see the unit until the day we moved in, which I agreed to thinking it was a Covid restriction, but quickly found out it was a bait and switch tactic. Upon move in, we found out we had been lied to by the leasing office and instead were given a fully carpeted unit after explaining several times why we did not want carpet. Upon complaining to management, we were told the unit was never going to have hardwood and we had to suck it up. A week after moving in we noticed mold spores growing in our bathroom wall through the paint- clearly something that had been painted over prior to us moving in. It took several attempts of calling maintenance and reporting this to management before it was rectified, at which point the mold had grown into a foot long patch. It ended up being so bad that they had to remove half of our bathroom wall to fix, which they left wide open for several days. And because there is no ventilation in the bathrooms of these buildings, the mold is bound to come back as it was also beginning to grow in our shower by the time we vacated. Over the next two years here (which we only stayed because we couldn't afford first/last/security elsewhere while wedding planning) we had countless issues with neighbors smoking in the buildings and management doing nothing about it, countless days and nights ruined by the fire alarm being set off at ungodly hours from said smoking and other issues by repeat offenders, repeated issues with the elevator and laundry in the building not working, our physical health overall declining due to the poor ventilation and carpet in the buildings, and overall negligence from the management company. We eventually decided to move out because we couldn't handle it anymore. They increased our rent from $1850 in 2021 to $1993 for 2022 to $2154 for 2023. Not including the additional pet rent they charge despite being 'pet friendly'. Upon moving out we found our apartment was listed for $2400+, so if you're reading this please use this as a cautionary tale on why you should NOT pay that. And on top of all of this, upon moving out, Harbor Point has claimed that our apartment carpet - which we were never told we were going to have - needs to be replaced so we cannot get our full security deposit back. And when trying to contact them to find out the details of this issue I was repeatedly called the wrong name, and never was given a clear answer on what was wrong. Just a blurry photo taken by a maintenance man without any effort on his behalf to clean the carpet before replacing it (which I know because the vacuum marks from me cleaning were visible in the photos) Really unsure what the pet rent is for if the $840 we gave them over the years for said rent couldn't cover the fake damage to the carpet Photos of mold and carpet upon move out for reference!

Although the unit and building are very nice, I have had a nightmare experience living here…read more. The unit I moved into was brand new but had multiple issues. I had a leak in my kitchen that they failed to resolve for over a month. I was having to plug up this leak with multiple towels and eventually led me to avoiding using my kitchen completely because it would basically flood my floor. I had to put in multiple tickets to get this resolved.. Either the maintenance team was incompetent, or they just don't care about their residents. It got to a point where they removed my dish washer underneath the counter and left it in the middle of my apt for two weeks and gave me zero explanation. I asked Madelyn if she could get me an answer for what was going on and she said she would but never followed up and another week past... It just felt like I was being ignored and not being taken care of as a resident. After I threatened to not pay rent, they found multiple leaks in some pipes within the walls and had to shut off my water for a few days to get it fixed. Then they had to rip off my dry wall and replace as there was damage in the walls. By the time my apt was finally fixed I had been inconvenienced for over a month and had to live in a different unit for 3 days. This was not the luxury experience I was paying for. I understand that things will come up and there may be issues with the apt, but the management team handled this issue very poorly and I should not have been inconvenienced for over a month. Their communication is not reliable and untimely. They did give me 1/2 month off rent and put me up in a different unit but this was not worth the headache and inconvenience. I wanted to get out of the lease, but they denied it. I added photos underneath for reference. In summary, I would NOT recommend living here. Their management team is unreliable. They care more about the money than your experience living here. They will offer you free rent and a gift card but will only follow through if you remind them of it (at least this was my experience). I got the gift card late, and they only applied my free months' rent when I told them to. I highly highly recommend you to save yourself from a headache and live somewhere else please.
