Excellent full-service shoe shop. About half the store is hiking-backpacking-mountaineering boots,…read morehalf casual-business-stylish. Little in the running, hipster/fashion, or elegant ranges. This reminds me of the shoe stores of my youth --- everything starts with measuring your feet (not a full Brannock Device, but headed that direction), then a first two options, then more recommendations and samples, then selection, then a quick cleaning & leather treatment, then finally to the register. I'm not sure how well they'd deal with a "This model, this size, out the door" request. Our salesperson was very helpful, though she was much happier in German than English. The stairs to the second-floor stockroom serve double duty as a faux mountain trail ("Hang on the edge here, feel the traction") --- and are showing it. Hopefully Gräb builds an REI-style hillock on the sales floor before the wooden steps wear away.

It's a huge department store in the city center of Zurich with floors of everything from fashion to food. I only visited the food department which is located on the lower level so I can only describe my experience there. There are rows of foods from around the world and a large section of wines from around the world. They also have a decent Swiss wine section. The cheese humidor here is worth just popping into. It had the most amazing variety of cheeses from around the world. The fresh produce is also of the highest quality. There are a handful of restaurants in here serving cuisines from different parts of the world. We visited one called Nippon Sushi and the chef there made us an Omakase menu comprised of the chefs selection of sushi on the day. It was amazingly good and super fresh. You can lock me up in this place and throw the key away :-) an exquisite place to visit, browse and have a meal :-)

I'm glad I found a Groupon for a fantastic meal for two. Afterward, I went across to Mövenpick to sample a variety of red wines before picking out a lovely bottle from Chile. It's self-service, so you can pour yourself whatever you want to taste from all the bottles on display. At the register, I suddenly remembered that I had some UBS Keyclub points to redeem, so I was able to knock off CHF 20 from the purchase price. Awesome. Then I went upstairs to the always busy m.a.c. cosmetics counter, but a sales associate was quick to help me with my purchase, and then I was merrily on my way. Always an awesome experience at this upscale department store, but be prepared to shell out some big bucks.

Finally a real sneakerstore in Zurich !!!…read more You find a lot of standard sneakers store in Zurich, but all with the same collection, nothing special and not the special edition stuff... This store really has the allure of an New York sneakerstore. You find a lot, and special stuff as well. The store has two floors. But you really have to go inside. It looks actually small from the outside. But once inside it looks big and it is big. The staff is friendly and doesn't bother you too much. One negative thing: they didn't have a lot in my size (US: 12). But maybe its because its popular ;)

They have new and gently used gear, clothes, and shoes- for Christmas or every day, this is the store to choose! I got new hiking boots for only 59 Franks, elsewhere was at least 200, for that I`m giving thanks! The snowshoe selection downstairs had new and slightly used, but not enough sizes from which I could choose. But I`ll totally come back, for warm or active wear, it`s just the coolest store with prices beyond compare!

We were purchasing multiple shoes (over $500+ in value) and while we were trying them on, he kicked our boxes. We are visiting from NYC and even while we spoke perfect English, he talked to us like we were stupid when we asked for a VAT tax refund form (FYI they don't do VAT refunds at this shady store). The associates at the stores are very nice but the owner/manager (old guy who tried too hard to look young), his attitude is trash. Very annoyed by this experience and discrimination. Look at the reviews of this store on Google, reviews are disastrous in both German and English. Some customers even called the police on him. Would avoid 100%.

Sneakers for everybody !!…read more They have a large range of sneakers for men & women. Don't expect the unique / coolest sneakers. Just the latest on the market. The stuff is a bit clueless and slow. They are not very clientfriendly (don't care to much). Always good to have a look when you are looking for something.
