Came here with my cousin during siesta when most establishments are either closed or in a supreme lull. Thankfully, El Botánico was open for business. We sat at the two big comfy chairs in the back with a pleasant view of the establishment. Decorated like a botanical garden with plants, assortment of chairs, and other aesthetics, this space could feel intimate or romantic due to the dimmed lighting, or in my case felt very comfortable. It felt like home. Some observations: the proprietor/manager seemed to take extra care lighting candles around the establishment which was lovely. She also sprayed something perfumy around the rewhile we were drinking coffee. I am sensitive to smell and found that to be unnecessary. Caution: the bathroom is freezing. It is winter currently, but surprising since the restaurant is warm. As soon as you descend the few steps to the bathroom, the temperature drops 15 degrees.
