Disgusting. Don't buy food from here. My wife ordered a birthday cake that was supposed to be a white cake with chocolate frosting. When she went to pick it up it had white frosting and strawberries. Not what she ordered. She was told "well there's a chocolate frosting as a layer inside it" Since it was the day of the party she took it. We tasted it and it was the worst cake we ever had. The frosting was literally canned whipped cream with hard store bought strawberries on top. No flavor whatsoever. The cake itself had a strange metallic taste to it like too much baking powder was used. It ruined a great birthday party. Will never go to them again. Wish we saw the review from the previous person about their cakes before we ordered from them. read more

Extremely disappointed. Had tried there tamales a year ago and they were very good. So I ordered 6 dozen for Christmas this year and they were 90% masa. Also they were so unorganized when we came to pickup our order. They wanted to charge us again. Very disappointed. Will not go back. I'm putting one star because I can't put a zero. read more

Wife was ill. Wanted to get her some good homemade chicken soup (not the crap in a can). Found "Doris Bakery Panaderia" by searching Yelp. Friendly service. I thought the soup was a little expensive until she brought it out to me. One order was easily enough for two people! It was a little weird looking, too: broth with a whole chicken leg, whole potato, and whole carrot in it. Then I tasted it... holy guacamole it was so good! To quote my ill wife, "This tastes like someone's abuela made it!" Then I noticed the goodies included in the takeaway bag meant to be added to the soup: rice, corn tortillas, onions, cilantro. Went for the first time today. Drove to Camarillo looking for a Filipino bakery. Instead of going home empty handed I landed here and had the best huevos rancheros I've ever had and some delicious flan. Very clean and nice store. read more

This was my boyfriend and I's first time coming here and it was so good ! The queso con rajas tamales and the pork tamales were so good. My boyfriend got a breakfast burrito and he said it was the best one he's had in a while! Ozzy was so great tending to our order even though it was really busy. The only place we'll get our Christmas tamales from. The staff are friendly and helpful and the tamales are absolutely delicious. The cheese and rajas ones are very spicy though, not an issue for me but if you're not expecting it or a fan of heat then you're in for a surprise. Only giving this place 4 stars because I haven't tried their tacos yet but my husband and I got the chicken tamales and they were so good! We came 2 hrs before they closed so the kitchen was closed for the day but we ordered half a dozen tamales for $10, I regret not getting a dozen. The masa is tender, flavorful, fresh and not mushy. I'm so sad I have to write a not so great review for a small town bakery. But if I wasnt truthful I wouldnt be helping anyone. So I ordered a Frozen character cake from the book provided. The cake looked absolutely nothing like it. When I chose that cake, I was paying for that specific cake and design. I got something put together with frosting and printer paper slapped on it, which was not edible- not that it would make a difference. The cursive on the cake was a little sloppy in my opinion and was not finished in some areas if you look closely. The taste...dry, and the strawberries were days old or frozen not sure but it was a very very thin layer... and did I mention dry?? I was definitely not happy and will not be getting my cakes here again. I'm giving two stars for the individuals who assisted me when I picked up, they were very sweet. read more

Hands down my favorite tamale place! I go to CSUCI and my home is about 1.5 hours away. It was tough moving from home and not knowing any food places, but man, I am so happy to have found this place!
