Very disorganized overall and frankly disappointing. As a result, they only had one tiny terrace that could fit a max of 25-30 people for the entire castle guests. This was a surprise "gift" discovered at check-in when we booked the room 4 MONTHS in advance. No communication whatsoever to guests of the hotel beforehand that probably would have chosen another hotel to avoid the drama and lack of services. The entire day was filled with miscommunication between oh no the terrace is closed, actually it is open, the bar is closed, no it's open, actually it's definitely closed... but you have the lobby, though. Guests were confused and waiting for menus for 30 minutes with no communication from anyone. Some kept asking for a table to eat their food. Strangers sat together in the same seating because there was no room anywhere... They had all their staff focus on the wedding and event and only had one waitress on the terrace for everyone else. So basically, paying hotel guests were left wandering, confused, stuck, and overall with subpar service for a 5-star hotel. When they tried to "offer" something for the inconvenience, there was lots of miscommunication as well between spas, massages, and buffet tickets, but oh yes, we won't charge you NOW, but definitely later. So I guess they think it's ok for us to pay 100 euros per person for a BBQ buffet event as a "sorry for the inconvenience"... We just wanted a normal castle restaurant. It's not a matter of price but a matter of principle. Overall, we've been to many 5 star hotels, and this was definitely the worst experience we've had. You will be paying almost $400 a night for NO. No restaurant, no bar, no full hotel access, no communication, no pretzel at 7:15 pm, no coffee in the room, no library, and no table for eating on the tiny terrace. They kept proposing for us to drive outside the castle even though we booked specifically to be IN the castle. If you are going to prioritize a wedding AND an event because it's more money and close everything, then do us all a favor and mark all the rooms as booked so you don't waste our time. Don't try to be greedy and want everything but offer nothing.

Friendly staff and close to train station!…read more We stayed at Park Hotel at Oberursel as it was very close to one of the relatives in the area. Overall, the hotel had friendly staff, and it met our needs. The hotel is located within steps from a train stop and is very close to an international school. Despite its proximity to a train station, we heard no noise from inside the hotel. Here are the pros and cons of the hotel. Pros: 1) Convenient location to train station. 2) Daily breakfast included in the room rate. The breakfast variety was decent with eggs, bacon's, cold cuts, yogurt, fruits, and bread. 3) Gym and sauna are on premise. However, the gym is very small, with only 4 machines. The sauna is beautiful and spacious, but you will need to pay an extra 8 euros and give 30 mins advance notice before usage. 4) Friendly staff with quick service. Cons: 1) Low water pressure at the shower. 2) The hotel room doesn't have coffee machines, kettles for teas, conditioner, body lotion, or wash cloth. 3) 24-hour advance notice is required for room cleaning. 4) Lights are off in the gym/spa area with no motion sensors in the evening. I tried to access the gym last evening, and the whole 7th floor (gym/spa) was pitch black when the elevator got there. I couldn't see where I was going without trying to feel for the light switch. 5) No towel or water machines in the gym area. Equipment selection was very limited in the gym. Our room rate was 179 euros a night. I felt the value was ok with the quality and service.

I ended up staying at this hotel for almost a week on a work trip. For where I was working, this…read morelocation could not have been better. I had positive experiences with every staff member I encountered. The front desk staff were lovely and helpful, and the folks who worked in the dining room were wonderful. One person, a former flight attendant, always greeted me warmly at breakfast and was helpful. There was one night when the bar was closed, and we were invited into the restaurant for drinks. Even though we were just having drinks, we were waited on by the nicest man who made great recommendations and a perfect balance of chatting with us and giving us our time. As a frequent business traveler, I'll highlight a few things to consider: 1. The single rooms are small. At the same time, however, the room I had had an outdoor space, which, although it was too cold to sit on for long periods of time, helped. But if small spaces are an issue for you, the room could feel claustrophobic. I worked out of that room for several days and it was a bit tight. 2. The bathroom was probably the size of the room part, which was great -- the shampoo is affixed to the shower wall, so if you're someone who needs conditioner and/or hand lotion, be sure to pack your own or pick some up at a store that's about a 10 minute walk away. 3. There's no refrigerator in the room, and no coffee maker. The latter was the toughest one for me as someone coming from a distance. 4. There is WiFi, and it worked reliably and consistently the entire week. For a boutique hotel, it definitely suited my needs. There's a train stop right across the street, which is convenient for going into Frankfurt or into the downtown area. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, too. I will likely stay here again if in the area.

Upon check-in today I was issued this coupon which stated: "Dear Guest, for this breakfast card your room bill was charged with the corresponding amount. Please hand this card to your waiter. If you do not use this card please kindly return it when checking out and we will take the corresponding amount off of your bill. Thank you and have a wonderful start to your day. " This is a new policy because never did I receive this parking ticket in the past. In all the hotels that I have visited in the past 30 years, never had this occurred. In short, if you lose this card, you are billed for breakfast. FYI, when you book, you can book with or without breakfast. I don't book breakfast because I always dine in Taunus. This is strange and it's almost illegal. I'm going downstairs to submit this now. Let's see what happens. They were nice! But this was strange.

Staff are friendly and very helpful, rooms are clean and have nice beds in them. The breakfast buffet is also quite ok. The Swiss bar is the highlight of this place as it is probably the cheapest hotel bar I have been to. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the service is excellent. There are a lot of meeting rooms here for staff or customer get togethers and they prepare the rooms very well. Prices for rooms and meeting rooms are also not bad and reasonable. I would happily stay here again. Parking is quite expensive here at €30 a day and I don't quite understand why? There is free street parking available in the area and if you can find one take it.
