Motivated through past experience to settle for nothing less than a top provider, I consulted four candidates (Costco, Physicians' Hearing Service, Sound Advice and Hear.com, a very professional online provider) and tried out several devices over a three month period. Each practice had impressive qualities. As my search progressed, although I was also impressed by Hear.com's device (Horizon AX) and service model, it became evident that if the price were right, I'd buy mid-range Phonak devices from Dr. Nathan Lev, whose audiology practice has been getting rave reviews on Yelp since he established his business in 2010. In four visits with Dr. Lev, I never felt that I was under pressure to make a purchase. He listened carefully and answered thoroughly. Each meeting deepened my understanding of how properly fitted, high-tech hearing aids could repair my hearing deficit. And that's what has happened: Sound Advice has provided me quality devices at a cost covered by my insurance. I'm delighted!

An update from my previous experience: Checking in was…read morequick. The front staff was fine. I wouldn't say the customer service is the best. It just felt like everyone's not happy and burned out from their job or they just lost the passion. I was called back pretty quickly and brought to another waiting room where I met Dr. Kerr. She's the reason why I gave a 4 star. The one star I docked off was because of the unwelcoming staff and the previous experience. Dr. Kerr did my ABR/VNG testing. She was absolutely the sweetest and kindest person there. Her energy and personality made my visit better than expected. The testing at the end was pretty rough and she was caring and patient with me through it all.

Today a different lady was working the front desk, had me write my name down and asked if I've been there before and I told her yes but they have never asked for my name since it was just a quick tube change. I was told they couldn't help me. On top of that, it's a hearing aid place where most people that walk in are either deaf or hard of hearing so it's really stupid to be wearing your face mask when people like me read lips.

After my longtime hearing aid dispenser closed, I went to Beltone, where I initially received great…read moreservice with my new hearing aids. Unfortunately, after 2 years, the t-coil stopped working and it just went downhill from there. The straw that broke the camel's back came during a routine tube replacement which resulted in the tech accidentally breaking the earmold (the previous tech had glued the tubes into the earpiece; a big no no). I told the office I wouldn't be paying for replacements as it's something I didn't break. The tech lied when questioned about it and said she didn't break the mold--I'm a lifelong hearing aid user and know what my ear molds looked like prior to the appointment so I didn't pick up the earpiece and started going to a MUCH better and more ethical hearing aid dispenser that I'm more comfortable working with. I never heard from Beltone again...until they reported it to collections. As I'd been dealing with a completely broken hearing aid for a year and they wouldn't see me until I paid for the earmold, I paid it. Unfortunately, they never bothered to update the collection agency, who continued to ding my credit report over something I never should've been charged over and had already been paid. Trying to get it cleared up with the office management was infuriating as I was greeted with snide comments of dismissal and judgment. I've now paid a collection agency, Beltone and interest for an earmold I never ordered and never picked up. Seriously...avoid this place. It went downhill when the original audiologist left four years ago. I've never been so disrespected or treated so poorly by a medical office. Concerns are dismissed and calls aren't returned unless they're escalated by the manufacturer.

Had to get audiology test fast for sudden hearing loss. Most places that take insurance were…read morescheduled so far out. Heiner was able to accommodate us immediately and those our insurance didn't cover, the cost was reasonable and done by a certified audiologist. The test was thorough and involved a interview style questionnaire to get to know the patient and hearing issues, asked probing questions to determine the cause of hearing loss followed by testing both ears for sound and words in a sound booth. After the test the audiologist explained results, what they mean, and options for hearings aids. They also specialize in custom style hearing aids but that was for a future visit. Audiologist was professional, kind, and offered explanation and report to provide to ENT doctor. Cute bohemian artsy decor in waiting room.

I was sent a bill in excess of $200 for an evaluation that was 100% covered by my insurance policy. Audiologist, however, did provide excellent testing and evaluation of my hearing needs.

I never do reviews but wow I would feel horrible if someone else came here…read more First off, I'm not entirely sure the people doing ear molds here are qualified. To sum it up, I left with bloody ears and inaccurate ear molds because the people did them wrong. The ears are supposed to be cleaned of ear wax or the molds will not come out correctly. They did not clean my ears at all. When the first mold came out badly with an air pocket, the mold was done again correctly. However, the ear wax in my ear combined with the ripping out of the ear mold severely damaged my ear canal and caused it to bleed quite badly. To make matters worse, when I went to send in my ear molds for my hearing device I was notified that the one ear mold has an air pocket in it. So not only did the person injure my ear she also included the bad ear mold making everything pointless. I wasted my money and risked my own hearing all for nothing. If you don't want torn up ears and inaccurate ear molds then I highly advise you go somewhere else. I can't express how horrible this place is and I recommend no one risk their ears with this place.
