It was one of the best decisions I made! She is a compassionate and dedicated physician who truly cares about her patients. She always took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel very comfortable throughout both pregnancies and deliveries. She is highly experienced, knowledgeable, and someone I trust completely. Her staff is also wonderful, professional, patient, and very helpful. I am very grateful for the care I received and highly recommend her!

We chose her as our ob since she's known as being less interventionalist than others in the area, but she at times was also not willing to consider some options that we wanted to explore. Appointments with her were very short, though if I had questions, she was willing to chat a little more. She let me go to 42 weeks even though I was "geriatric," which, from what I hear from others in the area, is incredibly unusual. We had wanted to explore some labor inducing methods, like stripping the membranes, which we had done with our first child. However, she said she wouldn't do it since it doesn't work. Of course, this is where a doctor's experience comes into play, but it was disappointing since we had had this option with our previous doctor. Actual labor induction was an experience - as it often is - but she certainly stepped in when the timing was right. I felt like I was in good hands even when things got very tough.

I am a high risk pregnancy and was treated so well the entire time even through labor and delivery at NYU. I can't thank Dr Byrne enough for having so much patience during my long and harsh labor. Highly highly recommend this office both Dr Byrne and Dr toubian are heaven sent and I will continue to rave about the care they have provided me.

However, Square Care recently closed these two offices and did NOT communicate that the doctors in those locations were leaving Square Care entirely. In fact I only got communications that the Stony Brook office was closing, so I was under the belief that I could still go to Smithtown. The best part is that I received calls from the phone number associated with the Smithtown office saying it was time to schedule my appointment, and when I called that same number back the voice mail said this location was closed. I left several messages on the "Contact Us" web option, making it clear who I was trying to book an appointment with, and they never got back to me to let me know that my doctor was leaving instead of changing locations. This is people's health care, it's really disrespectful to not divulge all information about who you can or cannot see in the practice. I was able to get more accurate and timely information from other upset patients on the Nextdoor app. Luckily, someone there had the doctor's email, got her new number, and is sharing it. This is disgraceful for Square Care. If you choose to work with doctors organized by this group, I HIGHLY recommend you ask them for an email address or secondary number that you can contact them with because the Square Care main office setup does not care about your medical preferences.
