So here are the pros: everyone I dealt with was very friendly, the appointment was prompt (next…read moreday), the technicians were right on time when they said they would arrive and they were respectful and focused. I do think they did a good job, the before and after photos are a nice touch and it was all completed in a few hours. Here's the con and it's a big one: in what world can you receive a quote for $269 and end up paying almost a grand, $950 for what is actually a very small house. I knew there was an extra fee for the anti-microbial treatment, which I agreed to, but am now questioning its necessity as that was an extra $250, so already doubling the price (why??), and then there's this extra duct and opening and extra mains... blah blah blah, and all of a sudden we're looking at $50 extra per - and we ended up having like (apparently) 6 duct openings and 5 mains, only 2 of which were included. Wow. Bottom line, we'll chalk this one up to a learning experience, but would I recommend this company? Not in this lifetime. If we ever need duct cleaning or furnace service will I be going with them again? Also a big ol' noperoonie

You can even see the note on the receipt about the vents being dirty... that is what they are being paid for... why write it down? Anyways long story short my mom was charged $1200 for her ducts and sanitizing for her 700 sq ft duplex. I was reminded about what happened as I just had the ducts done in my 1000sq ft home.... Even had microbial sanitizing and dryer vents done.... Final balance of the company I sued? $300. This company scams people regularly and they don't care... check out the Google reviews. I really hope Karma catches up to you.

i definitely DO NOT recommend Merle's Air duct and furnance cleaning. we had an appointment last…read moreweek and they did not show or call. So I called and he apologized and said it was not put in his book and he had his daughter's graduation party and I understand and said no problem and he rescheduled for this week. Well...... again no show and no call. I tried calling and all I got was a voicemail that has not been set up. I am so frustrated I had to rearrange my work twice and my kids and dogs so they were not in the way and then don't bother to show. I was talking to my friend last night and she said the same thing happened to her with Merle's. She never heard from them.

Well it was 4 PM on Friday 11/01 so I called the owner and he apologized saying the guy he was going to send over had a dr apt and forgot about my duct cleaning. The owner said how about I come take care of it on Monday 11/04 at 9:30 AM. At 2 PM, I decided to give them a call and a lady named Andrea I believe answered. She said that he was in an accident on interstate that morning and she'd have to call me back after she figured out what's going on. It was unfortunate but I understood to a point. Well now it's Friday 11/08 and I have yet to hear anything from them. I wanted to support a small business but decided to book a service with Steamatic who scheduled the cleaning in a timely manner and actually was only $25 more than what Merle's was going to charge me. Things happen but this was very unprofessional as I had taken work off 2 separate times and brought my 2 dogs to doggie daycare so that they wouldn't be in the way during the cleaning.

I was provided with an arrival time frame between 10-11 am and they were at my door at 11:15. I have zero complaints about duct cleaning itself but they left an ungodly, muddy, dusty mess behind. The price was spot on to what I was quoted but they do not provide a breakdown of services in your receipt. Extremely happy with the quality of the duct cleaning - miffed by the mess they left behind.
