I really enjoyed Doppio Zero. The restaurant was very crowded and there is a wait so I highly recommend to get a reservation. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and they have a beautiful bar area. It is a really nice restaurant for a date night, birthday, or anniversary. I really like the dim lights and all the lights they have hanging around the restaurant. The servers were very helpful and nice. The food was delicious. I got the burrata as an appetizer and the bread was sweet and the cheese was very creamy. The pizza I got was also good because it had a thin crust and was very flavorful. My drink I got was the pornstar which was pretty good and light. My boyfriend got the passion fruit mocktail which I would just pass on next time. It truly pains me to write this review as I had such a great experience the last few times I went to this location and the Mountain View one (which I have a 4 star Review on Yelp) but this one just isn't the same... Let's start with the drinks: Every time I go I always get the same drink, the "pornstar". It's always refreshing with great flavor. This time I wasn't even able to drink it. It tasted like I was drinking perfume. I am not sure how much vanilla they used but it was definitely way too much! Wish I had asked them to remake it as it was $16 wasted. Now for the food: We got two appetizers, the meatballs and the shrimp and calamari. The meatballs were pretty average but the shrimp and calamari appetizer was extremely salty! I've ordered these before and this was never the case. The Margherita Pizza is typically a hit but unfortunately it was soggy and lacked a lot of flavor. I am not sure if the Mountain View location is also going down hill but unfortunately I will not be coming to this location again. read more

The truffle fries weren't overwhelming and I ordered the calamari and shrimp as my entree. My friend ordered the lasagna and we finished with coffees. Came here with my dinner group as someone wanted to try it out. On a weeknight, while there was a crowd at this location, we were still able to be seated right away. We were a bit close to the front door and the draft kept hitting us, but overall it wasn't too bad. The staff was attentive and took our orders when we were all present. I really enjoyed the broccolini and the brussels sprouts - both had a great crunch and flavor to them. For our main entrees - there were a few orders of the wild boar fettuccine, gnocchi, the jalapeno pizza and the dopio zero pizza. I enjoyed my jalapeno pizza, but it wasn't a crispy as I usually like it. The flavors were good, but I wished it had a better crust to it. Those who had the wild boar fettuccine really enjoyed their food; the gnocchi was deemed "okay" while the dopio zero pizza was "fine". The highlight were the desserts for sure - we ordered the tiramisu, cioccolato cake and lemoncello cake. All three were fantastic and everyone had a nice end to the meal. I can't decide which one I liked more, so I may have to go back and taste the desserts again. My first time here was in November 2024 and it went amazing The steaks and potatoes were amazing , the fries with truffle was fantasticly delicious. The squid ink noodles with seafood I did have a bite I won't lie, and it was worth it, dangerously worth it. Great location and so much potential but fell short for me by a lot - the menu is pretty simple - a handful of pizzas and a handful of pastas. Most of the pastas are red sauces which is a bit lame but I got the fettuccine wild boar and enjoyed it - nothing to rave about but not bad. My friend got the jalapeno pizza. For $25 we were expecting it to be mind blowingly good. Once again, it wasn't bad, but it was nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I love the indoor outdoor concept. I will note that when we came in the entire place smelled like fish - something I don't mine but some people would not like. The main reason for my bad review was the service. Our server greeted us promptly and took our order, but then never came back throughout the entire meal. We waived someone down for a box and that person laughed at us and asked another girl to get us a box. We then had to waive another person down for the check. Overall for the price I would expect to at least be treated like a guest and not an inconvenience. Doppio Zero is such a great addition to Downtown Campbell! The restaurant is beautiful with an impressive cocktail bar and plenty of seating. We were here for happy hour (M-Th 4:30-6:00pm). The HH menu has a nice variety of small plates including two 6" pizzas. Drinks are discounted: draft beers $2 off, well drinks $2 off, cocktails $3 off, wine by glass $4 off. Cocktails were well made and delicious. We ordered the nixto old fashioned and DZ clover and we were very happy with the selection. For food, we ordered the fried calamari and shrimp and diavola pizza. The fried plate was good. The pizza was less impressive with few toppings and soggy crust. We started with their San Francisco restaurant before a show and then found this more convenient South Bay location. We get "x minus one"pizzas (where "x" is the number of us we're ordering for, i.e, we get 2 pizzas for 3 of us or 3 pizzas for 4 of us), and always the Little Gem Salad which is my wife's favorite. Been meaning to try this place for a while. Aesthetically it's very nice, and has an upscale vibe; I like how the restaurant opens to the patio seating. Came here this past Sunday, no reservation around 630pm (45 min for a table so we sat at the bar) I usually don't mind sitting at the bar, but this was the first time I've ever been splashed multiple times by a bartender making drinks. So I'm gonna be rethinking sitting at the bar going forward. Menu has nice variety of options. My partner and I just got some sodas. We placed our order with the bartender. Meatballs, Caesar salad, and course two ribeye medium rare for my partner and the fig and prosciutto pizza for me. The server repeated our order back to us, to make sure I also repeated it to him once more as clearly as I could (I think you know where this is going). Both starters were good but the meatballs were delivered lukewarm. Caesar hard to mess up too so no complaints there. When it came for the main course, they brought out a t-bone which we didn't order or know was on the menu (after we ordered we noticed a QR code on the menu for specials, that's when we saw there was a t-bone). The bartender never told us the specials (there was also just one bartender for the whole packed restaurant???). The food runner sighed and was annoyed, can't tell if with us or their coworker. After which the manager came by and apologized. Bartender was nowhere to be seen at this point. A few minutes later the bartender came back at me aggressively saying "I repeated your order twice to you, that's what you ordered" and I followed up with "we didn't order that and that's why I repeated the order I was making back to you too a second time, and I'm sorry if there was a miscommunication". He was not happy at that response. So anywhozer - my fig and prosciutto pizza was SO soggy and underbaked it was not edible, I took it home and baked it further and it was good. 2/5 Steak was really good, and at $38 dollars for a ribeye pretty solid deal. 5/5 came with a green sauce tho that didn't add to the dish, honestly felt like it took away from the flavor. We ordered a tiramisu to share and I got an espresso martini. Tiramisu was okay, last fingers weren't soaked even remotely with espresso, it was a bit dry and flavorless. Bartender totally spilled a bunch of the martini when he was making it and tried to play it off by moving the drink to the other side of the bar so his back was to us, added some cinnamon and swirled the drink to make it look like he didn't mess up. They very lightly torch a marshmallow to go with it. Espresso martini itself was good enough, but execution and garnish left me wanting, marshmallow didn't add anything since it still was cold and not even close to gooey or charred like the images on Yelp show. My absolute fave. While my dining partner chose to omit chorizo (I was a little hot about that one..) this pizza was perfection. Everything shines. **Spicy extra virgin olive oil to taste: Our server recommended this to us when she told us that one of her most favorite things to do was drizzle this spicy olive oil on her pizzas. This was my first time at the particular place although it opened a couple months back I could not believe the facelift they did on the inside of this old-fashioned candy store!! I wish I would have gone here for drinks since the bar environment seems to be pretty lively, but we got takeout this particular night so we could watch a movie at home. There were a number of tasty vegetables that were cooked perfectly within their pizza oven and the only complaint I had with the pizza was it was cut into four giant slices! Randomly strolled into this joint, a little close to close. Definitely not disappointed. Very clean, chic little eatery with friendly staff. The food itself is pretty delicious. Across the board, it felt like they use the same exact ingredients in a slightly different way. So their menu doesn't feel like great variety although there are a good amount of things to choose from. From a business standpoint, definitely smart to have less to buy but make what you can with it. Everything we got was simple, tasty and light. If you're not too hungry, sharing a bunch of appetizers is the way to go. You get to try to more of the menu and you don't get too stuffed. The first time I ate at Doppio was at their Mountain View location back when mask mandates were in effect, everyone was social distancing, and restaurants were only allowed to operate with outdoor dining. Pizza isn't my personal favorite food but I remember the experience being as good as it could've been and the food being tasty. This time, we planned a larger group dinner and made a reservation in advance. The staff had our table ready and were very accommodating as half of our party trickled in late. We decided to go with ordering a bunch of dishes to share, and our server was very helpful in giving recommendations for appetizers and drinks. I remember the fettuccine wild boar was especially popular back in the day, so I recommended that we order that and I was relieved that it was still the same delicious flavor that I remembered so many years ago. We got a couple other pastas, a few pizzas, and a number of appetizers, but those details have been lost in the past for me as of presently. I don't usually eat out in a large group but I'd say our group was made comfortable here and didn't seem to impose on others. The servers seemed very experienced so I would recommend this spot as being good for large groups. Lots of buzz for this place because its one of the few Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana certified/approved restaurants. I guess that means the pizza has gotten the seal of approval from the pizza gods. Located in beautiful down town Campbell, plenty of side street and free structure parking nearby. Beautiful edifice as you enter. Busy Friday night but seated right away. Prompt friendly service , got out drink orders right away. The apps will pretty good especially the meatballs and salad. the fried calamari also had fried shrimp and 2 sauces, bonus for that. The best pizza was the porchetta hands down. I wasn't as impressed with the half calzone pizza because I'm not a big calzone fan. The yellow tomato with spicy ham was much better. Burrata is a subtle flavor, yes, but this truly didn't taste of anything. The only flavor I got was the honey and hazelnuts. I tried purely the burrata by itself, and didn't even taste any cream. It just didn't taste of anything. The honey was high quality and the hazelnuts were delicious so we were still satisfied, but I wish the burrata had a little more flavor. The mocktail was excellent!! We went here for dinner last night with another couple. We had reservations so we were sat immediately even though we were still waiting for our friends to arrive. That's where it went downhill overall. After about 5 min the busser came by with cold water. Then we didn't have another person come to the table for nearly 20 minutes. Once the server finally came to the table we quickly ordered 2 appetizers (Procuitto & Burrata and the Calamari & Shrimp) we also ordered our drinks at this time. It took about 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The 2 extra dirty martinis were barely dirty. Though both the guys enjoyed their whiskey drinks. The appetizers arrived a few minutes later and overall weren't bad. The procuitto was a nice thick cut and there was plenty vs the burrata. Only downside was there was no drizzle of any sauce so it ate a bit dry. As for the Fried Calamari & Shrimp it was actually very good! Nice and crispy. Only complaint was there were only 4 Shrimp for a dish that said it was Shrimp & Calamari thought there's be at least 6. We ordered our dinner. I ordered the special ravioli. (Beef Ravioli & Porcini) it was supposed to be slow brained short rib ravioli and overall it was cooked well, but only flavor was mushrooms and was just very basic. I would not order it again. My friend ordered their Ribeye (Med Rare) with Fries. The fries were very good. The initial Ribeye came out over-done...past even Med-Well. They were SUPER gracious and took it back and made another one. The second one came out cooked perfectly. The chimmichuri sauce was also great. Other friend ordered the Fregola Del Pescatore. He said it was very good his only qualm was that the Fregola wasn't really a good type of pasta to go with the fish. (He said a fettuccine or angel hair would've captured more flavor) And lastly the Branzino was ordered and by far was the best thing to hit the table. The skin was crispy, it was well cooked. The black Tuscan kale was good. The Fava bean puree was strange and again the fregola pasta was just an odd pairing. The food was just okay overall.
