Fun shaped rice cakes (hearts and flowers)

I saw this place on social media and I decided to go try it! So happy I did, the food was amazing. If you like tteokbokki you will enjoy this place. You have plenty of options of rice cakes, veggies, sauces, and noodles. My friend and I were able to get everything we wanted in ours. (each station has a scale and that's how they limit how much you can add) The service was great, and it was our first time trying. Staff was so kind to explain how ordering works and what's popular. We order the combo #1 and it's a good amount for two hungry people. The establishment was clean and it has a modern interior.

Food: - the rośe tteokbokki had a nice & smokey flavor! really like how you can select your own toppings & veggies. - cheese shower fries were sooo delicious. tastes like a cheddar cheese & sour cream mixture -- which i love this combination - food prices are steep Service: - you go up to the counter and like chipotle-style, the worker puts the items in the bowl for you as you select what you want. - table service was non-existent Ambiance: - large and spacious restaurant with space for large parties

Dookki is such a great concept and executed really well. We ordered the customizable tteokbokki, soy garlic boneless thigh chicken, and cheese shower fries -- all a hit. The tteokbokki is DIY and totally customizable -- one price and no limit to the pot. You pick your rice cakes, veggies, noodles, meat, and sauce, and there's endless variety. The cheese flour rice cake was the favorite -- it has cheese stuffed inside each piece which takes it to another level. We went with the rosé sauce and loaded it up with sausage, enoki mushrooms, glass noodles, and it came with egg and crispy strips on top. So good. The soy garlic chicken was crispy throughout even with the sauce on it, and loved that the pieces were bite-sized -- made it so easy to eat. And the cheese shower fries were really fun -- tasted like they mixed in some sour cream and onion powder with the cheese powder, which honestly worked so well together. Fun atmosphere, delicious food, great value. Service was accommodating and attentive. Highly recommend for a group meal.

I'm a 떡볶이 lover through & through and this measured up to it! I loveeee all of the different options you can get at the bar. I just wish it was self service instead. Loved trying all of the various fun shaped noodles. The spice level medium was great. The sides such as the honey fried chicken and cheese balls were fire as well, and decently priced. There are plenty of tables and seats available, and service was fast!

amazing place!! always enjoy eating here. the tteokbokki is always so delicious and i love that you can customize it however you want. my favorite sauce is the rose. the fried chicken is also so yummy, my go to being the original crispy to dip it in the rose sauce. today i went with a larger group so we did a deluxe combo and it was the perfect amount. there's also a world cup deal right now where you get free bungeopang with every combo and it was so yummy. it's mini fish shaped pastries filled with cream or red bean. so good. also love how this place is in an amazing plaza with other food options too. truly can't go wrong with any option in this plaza. the workers are always so kind and patient. the establishment is always clean including their bathroom. will always come back to this place because i love tteokbokki and the BYO layout is truly the best!

If you're a true K-food lover, you NEED to visit Dookki in Orange County. It's a total game-changer. It's a DIY Tteokbokki concept where you get to pick every single topping and sauce to make your own custom pot. It reminded me so much of the traditional Sindang-dong style back in Korea! Here's what you absolutely cannot miss: * The Crispy Sides: Their fried toppings are NEXT LEVEL. The Sweet Potato Tempura and Seaweed Rolls (Kimmari) are so crunchy, especially when you dip them in the spicy sauce. * Cheese Mochi: Seriously, don't leave without trying these. They are chewy, stretchy, and so addicting. * Soy Garlic Chicken: I was surprised at how good the fried chicken was. The soy garlic glaze is perfection--sweet, savory, and crispy. The portions are massive for the price, and the quality is top-notch. It's the perfect spot for a fun dinner date or a hangout with friends. Definitely my new go-to spot in OC.

When you're craving tteokbokki, this is the spot to go where you can build your own just the way you like it with rice cakes, veggies, meats, noodles, and sauces. I loved being able to choose my own toppings, spice level, and even different types of rice cakes. We ordered the combo, which comes with fried chicken, rice, and drinks and also ordered additional sides to try. Everything was so good and perfect for sharing but they also have single-portion lunch specials.

I custom ordered two pots of tteokbokki one with rose and one with the dooki's best sauces. The dooki's best was my favorite. Flavor profile wise was very savory and spicy. The spice level is a 4/5 but as someone who is sensitive to spice it was definitely spicy but I was able to tolerate. Despite it being harder to eat the flavor was too yummy to stop. I also got the rose which I thought was okay. My favorites rice cakes to add were the corn cheese balls and the special shape. They were soft and chewy. I also love to add the Chinese glass noodles because they soak up for flavors of the soup. The snowing cheese wings were very cheesy with a bit of sweetness. They were delicious but a bit difficult to eat because the cheese power gets everywhere and makes a bit of a mess. The staff were patient with us while we were trying to decide what we wanted to add to our orders.

When I first saw a build-your-own tteokbokki place, I immediately knew I had to try it. I already love eating tteokbokki, so the idea of being able to customize my own bowl and choose exactly what goes into it sounded amazing. One thing that stood out right away was how spacious the restaurant is. It doesn't feel crowded, which makes the whole experience a lot more comfortable when you're picking out your ingredients and waiting for your food. The workers were also really friendly and helpful, which made the process feel easy even if it's your first time building your own bowl. What surprised me the most was the variety of rice cakes they had. I was used to the classic cylindrical tteokbokki rice cakes, but they had different shapes and types, which made the whole experience more interesting. Each one had a slightly different texture, but they were all chewy and delicious, especially once they were cooked in the sauce. Another fun part is choosing your toppings. You can add a lot of different ingredients to your bowl, and it's easy to get excited and want to try everything. Of course, the amount you add depends on the scale they use to weigh your bowl, but it's still really fun being able to mix and match different things to create your perfect combination. The bowl we made ended up being $24.99, which honestly felt worth it considering how much food we got. My friend and I shared it between the two of us, and it was still a lot of food, so it's definitely something you can split if you're going with someone else. The whole experience feels interactive and customizable, which makes it different from a typical tteokbokki spot. Between the variety of ingredients, the spacious environment, and the friendly staff, it's definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving tteokbokki.

The concept of making your own tteokbokki was definitely interesting and different from a typical Korean restaurant. It's set up almost like a food court where you get to choose your own rice cakes, vegetables, noodles, and other ingredients to customize your pot, which can be fun if you've never tried DIY tteokbokki before. They also had fried chicken and other side dishes available. That said, the overall experience was pretty average. The tteokbokki itself tasted so-so and didn't really stand out flavor-wise. The fried chicken was also mediocre, and one piece was slightly pink inside which made us uncomfortable. The restaurant itself didn't feel very clean, and the staff seemed more focused on their phones than paying attention to customers. Service wasn't terrible, but it definitely felt inattentive and unprofessional at times. Overall, it might be worth trying once just for the novelty of customizing your own tteokbokki, but it's not really a place I'd personally go back to.

Finally found a Dookki with SO many tteokbokki varieties! The best part? You can fully customize your meal - pick your own add-ins AND choose your sauce . From all different types of rice cakes, fish cakes, veggies, meats, sausages, ramen to multiple Korean sauce options - you can create your own signature tteokbokki pot . As a rice cake lover, I was literally spinning with joy This is NOT just your ordinary spicy sauce tteokbokki - the variety is insane! I HIGHLY recommend the Rose Cheese Tteokbokki!! The combination of savory spicy and creamy milk flavors is absolutely criminal It comes with those tube-shaped "article" rice cakes - first time trying them! Super QQ (chewy) and they absorb the sauce even better than regular rice cakes . So soft and flavorful gotta love their crunchy chicken wings. It's good place to chill with friends.

DIY Tteokbokki??? Sounds super fun and creative, right?! Located in Fullerton, Dookki lets you build your own tteokbokki--reminds me of malatang and hong kong style cart noodles. You can choose your base (different kinds of rice cakes), then add veggies, protein, and sauces however you like. We topped ours with our self-picked tteokbokki, and also ordered fried chicken wings and mixed tempura. Highly recommend the Snowing Cheese!!! Super cheesy!! A night of creativity and deliciousness. Dookki has really good food, and that was definitely the highlight of our visit. Everything tasted great, and you can tell the ingredients are solid. The place was also clean and well maintained, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the service was a bit of a letdown. It felt like my wife and I were being overlooked, as other tables seemed to be served before us even though we had been waiting. Service was noticeably slow, and that took away from what could have been a much better experience. It's kind of a bummer because the food itself was great. With more attentive and consistent service, this could easily be a higher-rated spot.

There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

The food here is excellent! Every flavor we've tried has been great, and if you like spicy food,…read morethe Crispy Spicy is my favorite alongside the Original. During our visit on 7/17/26, the restaurant was nearly full and seemed a bit understaffed. The dine-in and takeout orders were significantly backed up, so the wait was much longer than expected. We even watched a couple finish an entire bottle of soju before their food arrived, and there were quite a few frustrated customers waiting for takeout. Despite all that, our server, Christina, handled everything incredibly well. She stayed friendly, apologized sincerely, and never let the pressure affect her attitude. After the rush, she came by to apologize again, brought our kids complimentary garlic cheese rolls, and gave us a small gift card for the wait. Delays happen, but great service makes all the difference. Christina turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that left us happy to come back.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this store…read more I ordered BONELESS (clearly mentioned this) chicken and, when asked, chose the 16 pcs. Instead, I was served wings. When I asked about this, the staff (receipt shows server : Joy) blamed me, claiming I should have known the menu that 16 pieces are wings. I was driving and couldn't see the menu, so I relied on the staff. Expecting a customer to memorize menu categorization is unreasonable. It is the staff job to explain these details, not to blame the customer. I've seen other reviews mentioning similar behavior from this staff. I hope the manager provides better service training, as this experience was very discouraging.

Are you kidding me? The best tasting chicken tenders I have had in a very long time…read more I drove down to Fullerton to visit my daughter and got lunch before coming over. I decided to stop here. She told me the chicken was excellent. I almost orderef the sandwich but decided on 3 tenders with fries. I love korean gochujang so I thought they would have that flavor...they sure did...absolutely delightful. They have a little spicy with sweet...I definitely recommend this sauce on the sandwich or tenders. Pairs beautiful with the ranch. The fries were hot and had a little seasoning that was pretty good. If you love spicy chicken...TRY THIS PLACE...INCREDIBLE.

Understaffed and undertrained, a sign of poor management. Disappointing experience due to company…read moreoversight - don't expect your staff to be proficient using a point-of-sale system without proper training. Ordered the 2 sandwiches for $15 special, shake fries, popcorn chicken & jujubee tea. Ended up getting charged full price for the sandwiches, totaling almost $42. When asked why I was charged full price for the sandwiches, the lone cashier/cook gave me a blank stare and responded, "Well...I already charged you so.." Oof alright, not going to argue over $5 with a food service employee. Lone cashier then ends up cooking the food for us (2nd employee came in when we were almost done with our meal). Ownership should really consider providing better training to their staff. Cashier/cook didn't want to honor the price difference either because she didn't know how to or didn't care enough to do so without a manager present. Would this situation have turned out better if there was more knowledgeable staff or a manager onsite? Who knows. Food was decent, but I probably wouldn't go back. The spiciness was lacking, felt toned down for Korean heat. Popcorn chicken was better than the sandwiches imo.
