Looked on Yelp for a donut shop with a drive thru and found Donut Star. Plus it has a 4 star rating. This donut shop gets a little crowded and the parking lot isn't very big, but it does have a convenient drive thru. The downfall to the drive thru is there's no full menu. It's difficult to know everything they other. From the window, you can't see the donut or drink selection. There's a smoothie menu and sandwich menu and that's all. The service was great. I was helped immediately and the lady took my order correctly. We ordered 1 dozen donut holes, 2 cream filled,2 maple bars, and to sprinkle cake donuts for $9.70. Not a horrible price. The donuts were good. They were fresh and had a pillowy bite. I felt the cream filled could've had a little more filling but that's preference. My son enjoyed his donut holes. The ambiance here is casual. When inside, you see all the donuts they have available through the class cabinets. I enjoyed the cake donuts even more. It had a little bite from the exterior and super moist inside. It did not leave my mouth feeling greasy which is the problem I have with most donuts. read more

I've been a resident of Colton for over 30 years, and it's really disappointing to say that my recent experience at Donut Star has completely changed how I feel about supporting this place. The level of disrespect from the night staff was unacceptable. As someone who has supported local businesses in this city for decades, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. The interaction left me feeling dismissed and unwelcome. Businesses that serve a community should take pride in how they treat the people who live there. Customer service matters just as much as the product especially in a tight-knit city like Colton where word of mouth and loyalty go a long way. I truly hope management takes this seriously and addresses the behavior of their night staff, because no customer should feel disrespected when supporting a local establishment. read more

Had a Sunday night craving to get ready for the work week very nice and donuts were still fresh even Sunday night. There is an ice cream bar station with 10 different ice cream choices. Place was clean and I didn't see any flies which has been an issue in some of the donuts shops I've visited lately. My fav donut shop sold and the new owners did change the feel of the donuts a bit so I've been hunting a new spot. The service was great and polite. I got a free donut with the purchase of a dozen. Donut Star is a local favorite! This shop almost always has fresh made donuts. Their breakfast sandwich like the egg and cheese or ham egg and cheese are a must try. They have iced coffee that comes in a few flavors and it's the perfect blend of strong and sweet. The staff is always friendly and happy to see you. I've been here really earning 5 am real late 11 pm and their service is consistently great. They upgraded their seating area so you have booths to sit at to enjoy your food. read more

I went late at night through drive thru on Saturday night and the Asian lady in drive thru had an attitude from hell. There are way too many donut shops around the way to be putting up with an establishment who acts like they are doing me a favor. The only reason I bought two donuts was cause my son really wanted one, or I would have just zoomed off. Places like this won't ever get my business. I'll stick to my donut spot. read more

The old, bitter, mad at the world lady who works the drive thru late at night till the morning needs to get her shit together. Donut star has been in Colton for over 25 years. When it moved to its current (new) location it wasn't the same. The original owners treated all their customers so good. It didn't matter if you pulled up with your family in the morning or if you walked up to the window at 3am with a handful of pennies they always treated their customers with respect. That rotten lady acted like my money wasn't green or like the damn place ain't open 24hrs. Ifyou're gonna keep the name then make sure you keep the customer service too. read more

I waited over 6 months for this new one to reopen!! Finally. They are back in business, love these guys they're awesome. Ice coffees are bussin'. I love that they still have their drive thru. Still in a great location. Its a shame a Dunkin' Donuts tried to take over. I'll take Donut Star any day. read more

we went there like three times late at night and wow there customer service was so horrible that I was literally going to just drive off, but then I didn't want to be rude and didn't even get our order right. The best little donut shop in the Colton area. They have a great selection of donuts as well as breakfast sandwiches that include croissants and bagels. They have a good selection. Make sure you want them to know that you need it warmed up or you need to cut in half. You'll also have a little ice cream section that's nice that makes experience a little sweeter as well as various drinks. Definitely worth a stop in Colton. read more

For going at 1a something, the donut so delicious. Not stale, but tasted fresh and light. Guy at the window was quick to help us out with great energy.
