I absolutely LOVE this place. We moved to Easley from Atlanta four years ago and found this to be the best spirit shop and right in our back yard! The owners always have a story related to what I'm buying, and are very personable. Wine selection and spirit selection are outstanding! Plus you will pay less here than you will at a place like Total Wine. And if they don't carry what you want, they will order it for you AND call you when it comes in. For Easley, this place is definitely on the upper end of the selection spectrum. If you are searching for something specific, this might be the place to head. My biggest gripe (which is a big gripe) is the exorbitant price gouging that occurs here. Unless you are buying run-of-the-mill liquor that is available anywhere, you are guaranteed to overpay. Anything allocated, anything remotely rare, anything higher than 90 proof, is going to be jacked up by upwards of 20%. I understand why stores like this do that, but that doesn't make it pleasant or right. They even have the rare things like BTAC and Old Fitz, all for the low low price of $800 each - absolutely insane! 1792 single barrel for over $100. These are crazy prices meant to trap either those who are too ignorant to know better or those who are foolish enough to buy into this criminal behavior. They have pretty much everything you'd possibly need. I go to get liquor at a really good deal. The staffs really nice too.

I buy alcohol at the store. I don't go to bars to hang out and drink, I go to them to PLAY MUSIC. When I drink, I a) don't like overpaying for watered-down, poorly-mixed drinks and b) don't always even see what I want at bars even when I do decide to have a between-sets totty. So when I want a little somethin'-somethin' to sneak into my guitar case for the show I hit up my friends at Donohue's, conveniently located right on my from or to my home in the heart of Easley, SC. The selection's one of the best around, no doubt, and what really makes it worthwhile is the service and conversation. Not only do they know their products well, but they're always friendly, and I've almost always found myself in some kind of cool discussion about drinks or music. So I'm a customer for life.
