I wish I could select zero stars. This is the worst insurance office I have ever had to deal with…read more The prices double in three months. When you try to cancel the policy they make you jump through hoops. Absolutely ridiculous. My husband tried to cancel his policy 8/8/22, they said they needed his insurance card so he had his new insurance send it to them, but they claimed they never received it. They withdrew money on 8/11/22, called and had insurance card sent AGAIN but the last name was spelled wrong so they still didn't cancel the insurance so another payment came out on 9/13/22 even though the new policy started 8/8. I'm also so baffled by the customer service as I called and the lady I spoke to acted like I couldn't read the new policy effective date or that I was lying. To which I called her a witch (with a b) and she hung up on me. This is just so ridiculous and i expect my husband to be paid interest on this money you OWE him!!!!!!!!! And the mental health tool it has had on us. $250 is a lot for two months on a car that is worth $700. You are scam artists saying this is standard practice as I have switched many times in my life and never had to deal with such.

We had the misfortune of working with Brett insurance over the past year. We held 2 business…read morepolicies, home, and auto insurance. We paid for all of these policies upfront and were billed additionally throughout the year... not sure why, no one could explain what the charges were for. We were encouraged to buy a $2,000 policy for a company we did not end up proceeding with and Jim Brett told us that we would be refunded if we didn't move forward with that business. We were additionally billed for this nonexistent company and our "refund" for the unused $2,000 was returned in the amount of $120. Our auto policy was paid upfront and randomly billed throughout the year with no explanation(see the pattern) but our new insurance agency couldn't find the previous policy, apparently it was never purchased??? This was scary to find out AFTER driving across the country twice. Save yourself a lot of money and worry, find someone else. Also, send a man to talk to Jim Brett because he is incredibly disrespectful in the way he talks to women.

Please BEWARE of the Brett Insurance Agency, Inc.. I have had a nightmare month with their…read moreunprofessional staff from all levels of the organization INCLUDING their insulting and disrespectful owner Jim Brett. My wife and I are moving. I thought, well this shouldn't be so bad since I use an agency I will just call them to see about how to transition from homeowners to renters. Shouldn't be hard, right? Since I have a pit bull, they were going to have to shop around to see if anyone would cover me. Whatever. Well, after several business days of no response I called back to get a status of my renters request and was just told that "we are busy and I haven't even started it yet." To which I replied, "We are moving very soon, and I need to confirm insurance in order to finalize a lease." Since I had all of this extra time to work with, I decided to shop my auto around. Well, it took me 15 minutes or less to find out that Geico was about $280/yr cheaper. Funny, when I had Brett shop it around a few months prior, I was told that they couldn't get a cheaper rate. I also decided at this point to start checking around for pit bull friendly rental insurance providers. SPECIAL NOTE TO PIT BULL OWNERS: STATE FARM doesn't care about breed. They were also very reasonable. Thanks State Farm!! I digress. Well, since I was going to be moving my auto, I started the process of cancelling my auto and umbrella through Brett. I did however call back and reiterate that I needed to make sure that my current homeowners could be rewritten to an empty dwelling to MAKE SURE that I maintain coverage until we sell our house. After being passed between Brandy, and a coworker and then back again, I was told that I would have a response on the rewrite details by Tuesday, a full 2 weeks after my initial contact. Big surprise, no call. So that brings us to today, Wednesday when I get a voicemail from THE Jim Brett. I'm thinking, wow, pretty cool, the owner reached out because his staff has been jerking me around. So picture my surprise when I call him back and he expresses disappointment in ME that I picked State Farm for my renters and moved my auto to another provider. No apology for awful response time, and no offer to get my homeowners to empty dwelling policy rushed out since I had been waiting for 2 weeks already and am moving in 11 days. Instead, he says "well since you already moved your other policies, I'm not really interested in writing your homeowners." I was shocked. The owner, telling me that after his company has already failed me on several commitments, that he will not be following through on writing the final piece to my insurance puzzle. Basically, the Brett agency was dropping me. Jim said "well, you're dropping me." I guess that is one perspective in an all or nothing world that Jim must live in. Thanks Jim, for pulling the rug out from under me 11 days before my move. Now I get to scramble and find another homeowners policy and set it up for payment through my Mortgage escrow account. UGH. Absolutely no value added by this company, but plenty of stress in an already stressful time for my family and I. I have to caution you to not support this organization. They are apparently only focused on new business development, and can't be caught up with re-shopping current accounts to seek lower rates or rewriting policies to accommodate life changes. Please do yourself a favor, don't engage them for your insurance needs. Seek out another provider that truly has your best interests in mind. And in this world of being able to obtain instant insurance quotes, DO NOT ACCEPT 2 week turnaround and slow response because your agent is 'busy'.

This company is very poorly managed. My dad goes to them for business and referred me to try them…read moreout when I was pricing around for auto and home owners insurance. First, I called and asked for some quotes. They said they would get back to me. A week later, after not hearing from them, I tried again. They said they had to wait for paperwork. A month later, I called again and was told the same thing. I gave up. 6 months later, they finally call back and tell me they have some quotes. I went in and heard what they had to offer, and what they quoted was good. I told them I was interested, so they went ahead and got us with Penn National for our auto and homeowners insurance. They said they would go ahead and call our other insurance company for us and cancel our insurance with them so we wouldn't have to go through any hassle. After that was done, we were told the inspector was coming out to check out our home. After the inspector came out, we then got a letter in the mail telling us that our homeowners' insurance was being CANCELLED!!!! I went directly into Watson's insurance to find out what was going on, and according to the inspector's report, we were cancelled due to needing a new roof and POOR HOUSEKEEPING because we had an old box spring sitting outside waiting to be disposed of because we got a new bed that week and we didn't have garbage service that removes big items. I told them in Watsons that my husband needed homeowners insurance for his mortgage. I asked her if there was a way to have some coverage, even if it covered less and/or we had to pay a bit more. She said she would get the other lady who helped us out to give us a call later when she got back. She also told me that Penn National is really particular on their inspections, which we were not prepared for. She said we should consider getting a new roof done, which I knew we wouldn't have the money too soon for, especially finding someone who could do it when this was right before fall. Watsons told us we had the insurance for 30 days. I waited for the phone call from the other lady, and never heard from her. I called and left a message, and still never heard from anyone there. When I tried to send an email, and never heard back. Not sure why we aren't getting contacted back, but this is very concerning because we went ahead and started looking around for other insurance and no other insurance will now bother with us. We aren't sure if it's because of this inspector or what, but we are at our wit's end. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY! If you do not have a near perfect house or may have had any other issues that may make you appear like you may not be taking care of your house the way you should, this could very well happen to you. Be certain not to have your previous insurance cancelled until AFTER the inspection for the new insurance if done with Penn National through Watsons.
