I played this Murvagh links on a calm sunny day in April (hard to believe), it is nothing short of spectacular, and has raced towards the top of my list of favourite courses. The drive to get to the peninsula brings you down a dead straight tree lined avenue which is about 1.5km long. It opens onto what I would describe as perfect links land.
This is billed as one of the longest golf courses in Europe, and the card says it measures around 7,500 yards from the back tees. The information doesn't prepare you for the vastness of this course, the sense of space and being away from it all is joyful.
And what a course, it is challenging, fair, and stunning. I highly recommend this course to any golfer!
