And even stranger, the food was incredible (the store- made salsa was other worldly good.), the staff cared about their customers, everyone was excellent at pretending they were happy to be at work, almost all of them are bilingual, and they are equally fluent at handling American currency. I had a very impressive lunch and dinner there, and I'm about to go back for a 1 am coke. Worth the trip, if nothing else, for the sheer novelty of seeing what a goid Dennys is like.

I have always been a fan of their authentic cuisines including: chilaquiles and milanesa. It's nice that there is a variety of foods. The only thing I'd stay away from is their higher priced carafe limonadas and naranjadas since in my opinion they are rather watered down. Their flan and gelatins are nice and the ambiance is usually clean. Of the many times I've been to Vips, I've only had bad service once and it was during a lunch rush and the server was so nice, she had them comp part of the meal. Other pluses are that they are air conditioned and serve beer when you need it the most!
