This review is not about the Dom Tower, and we're sorry about that, but gishwhes is not an event on Yelp, so we had to find another way. This being said, let the review begin (please read this in Effie Trinket's voice).
For those who are unaware of the abnosomeness that is gishwhes (let's see how many references we can put in this review, shall we?), we will inform you. gishwhes is an event that takes place during a week in August every year, and the main goal is to, together with a team of 14 others, complete as many items as possible in the greatest, most creative way you can.
Now that you know the basics, we would like to tell you, dear reader(s), that the week so far has been amazing. Allow us to sketch some images. Imagine the nicest, most innocent girl you know being transformed into a creepy girl that plays the xylophone while singing about murder. Image a portrait of an angel made entirely out of dog and cat hair, or a boy floating in a lake while he is transformed into an island (three days later and he is still finding sand in his hair). We would like to challenge you to visualize an elepus (a hybrid of an elephant and an octopus, duh) waterskiing (we know, it's hard, but trust us, it looked pretty darn cool).
gishwhes is about kindness, having fun, doing things you never even dreamt of doing and use all your creativity. If you are okay with leaving your cozy little comfort zone for a while we would highly recommend to sign up for gishwhes next year. (We are serious about this.)
And finally, we would like to thank the team behind gishwhes for everything. We have loved everything so far and we wish you a lot of luck judging all the items. read more
