I've been going to this place for five years : many times with groups of 4 to 15. Every time any of our complaints arose , their "waiter" Danny was the server. Three times now he's forgotten one of the pies on our order. NOT a slice or two . A WHOLE PIE. In all my years going there, I've always left a very generous tip , like $50.00 tips on a $100.00 bill. The last visit there he did it again, so I said , "well I guess this pies free". Danny returned to the table and said . The "owner" said it's not free. Even though one of the two pies ordered arrived one didn't. NOW. Anyone with a half a brain would have realized , these are good customers who we've made the same mistake on THREE times in 14 months and a rather big tipper. The server Danny ALWAYS forgets one of my guests coffees; forgets orders in my opinion he's the worst and management allowing this to continues says a lot about how THEY care of customers. That was the MOST EXPENSIVE $25.00 pizza they never served as I AND my 5 guests will NEVER. read more

Based on other Yelp reviews, tried this and really enjoyed! The Grandma's pizza is incredible. Super thin, crispy & topped with thin tomato slices & fresh mozzarella. The regular pizza was good & the Sicilian was better than average. We also had a salad of tossed tomato, mozzarella, olives, cashews & bruschetta that was really yummy. The prices are kind of high, but the lunch specials are the way to go. Slice, 1/2 sandwich & a soda was like $7 and 2 slices & soda was about the same. Not the greatest we've had... We ordered Dominic's Special Pizza, which we imagined would be amazing... Looked good, smelled good and didn't taste too bad... Only real issues were the onions and green peppers could have been sliced a little thinner and cooked a bit first, meatballs were a bit bland and the center of the pizza was soggy... read more

After having a 2-3 week virus bug, my latest restaurant excursion was much needed good Italian food. On a recommendation, tried a new place. Arriving at 4:30pm, they had an unexpected extensive early dinner menu. Started with warm rolls, was asked if I wanted plain or garlic. Of course, I had the warm delicious garlic knots. Lots of fresh garlic. Choice of soup or salad. When my informed and pleasant waitress Jennifer mentioned Pasta e Fagioli soup, it was a yes from me. Served hot & filled with beans. Excellent. Dinner, I choose Linguini with White Clam Sauce. I asked that extra fresh basil leaves be brought on the side. When it arrived, after I had fully finished my soup, the entree was hot, yummy with the requested basil. After I was asked if I wanted dessert or coffee. Another time. Because I will be back. Being from NY, I am constantly searching for pizza that lives up to my standards here in Fl. Thought Dominic's did quite well. Dined in the 1st. visit and ordered 1/2 prosciutto 1/2 sausage pie, & i always emphasize well done. To my surprise, I thought it was excellent. Now, the only thing that I wasn't comfortable with, was the abundance of seniors who occupy these tables in excess, while others are waiting to be seated. All I can say is that Danny who was not our server but still intervened was the saving grace of this night . I observed the mannerism, edicate and professionalism of a proper server in Danny . Unfortunately Danny did not end up being our server it was another gentleman named who definetly made this restaurant look extremely classless , he served his bread without dishes and repeatedly replied to us after we requested something "GOTCHA" my wife and I will not even stay here we . Our servers name was Norm he brought us bread yet not any plates to eat them on also we overheard him speaking to another employee there foul language and profanities. I'm not trying to discredit this young man but for the prices this restaurant is asking the staff should at least be somewhat trained which our server was not at all. I have dined at many less fancy restaurants before and gotten so much better service and professionalism. We stayed for 2 drinks which I will say they were very good, the passion fruit, rum , cocktail and the bruschetta appetizers and then left - $40 undeserved dollars . We will not be back nor reccomend however if you do end up here at least ask for Danny who will most likely provide you with excellent customer service . read more

Always reliable for good pizza. We also ordered a variety of pastas - stuffed shells, baked ziti and tortellini. All were amazing. Chicken and eggplant appetizer was a bit bland and disappointing. I'll agree that most problems here are service related, but to me that's just as important as the food. Previous visits we have been seated outside (as requested) only to be ignored with no service for up to 15 minutes with no server. Other times we were served but ignored for very long stretches, having to get up and ask for things. This time, I had 2 friends with me who traveled a considerable distance to meet me here for dinner. We sat inside. The restaurant was not busy. Open tables inside, and no one outside. A girl took our drink and dinner orders. Drinks arrived (2 beers, and sparkling water). 10 minutes later our main courses are in our face. No salads, no soup I ordered. Staff just stood there. They offered to bring dinner back in (what, to sit on a shelf or under a heat lamp?) no thanks. We opted to eat dinner while it was hot. We were disappointed to say the least at not having the leisurely dining experience we had hoped for. The salads got boxed (but who really wants take home salad), and I never had my soup. The young girl serving us offered us a glass of wine, I guess to apologize. One problem...NOBODY was drinking wine! During dinner my guest had 1 more beer, and after dinner, 2 out of 3 of us had cappuccino. Never did a manager or anyone else come over, and when we got the bill..."full freight". Didn't even offer up "one" of the beers, or anything else. They seem perfectly unapologetic here, almost in a daze when it comes to service. Can't quite explain it. I've dealt with it in the past because the food is descent, but to me, a $100 dinner (and my guests generously treated me) should not leave you frustrated. Started off with the pasta fagiolli and was not impressed. Was very bland and luke warm at best. It almost seemed as it was prepped out of a can We ordered clams as an appetizer and that left me with a desire to leave the restaurant. We got 7 measly clams that were small, soggy and again bland. Needless to say, we stuck around to try the shrimp scampi we had already ordered. Not the best idea. That was a pasta with mojo and noodles. Was extremely acidic (lemon was overwhelming). All you could taste was lemon and oil. The sauce was more appropriate to be served at a Cuban restaurant with plantain chips. Had this been a Cuban restaurant, that would've been great. However, I was craving scampi and this certainly cannot be called that. We also heard another couple nearby returned their meal stating that it tasted more like A-1 sauce. Maybe it was an off night, which seems odd considering it was a Saturday. We've been here before and have ordered the pizza which has been great. Next time, IF I return, maybe I'll stick to pizza. Saved the day! We visit Florida annually this time of year and try to make it a point to get to Dominic's every year. While it was on our to do list to get their at some point, we had reservations elsewhere for Christmas dinner. Sadly that restaurant turned out to be a disaster and we had to leave. Everywhere was packed with a two hour minimum wait. Even though we were a good 20+ minutes away, I tried Dominic's to see if they were open. They were, but were busy and closing in a half hour. However, when I explained our situation they not only found room to seat us, they were even willing to keep the restaurant open. The fact that they were willing to take a last minute party of 11 as they were getting ready to close is amazing. I would point out how friendly the staff was and how delicious the food was, but that goes without saying. Dominic's is the best. They saved Christmas and my family could not be happier. I love good pizza, and I'm quite demanding. So far, apart from Penn Station in New York, which nobody can ever compare to, Florida pizza can be pretty mediocre. But I've found two places I truly enjoy. One is Panificio in Sarasota, which makes me want to drive the 4 hours just to get there, and the other is Dominic's in Boynton Beach. Very nice thin crust, lots and lots of cheese and delicious sauce no matter what extra toppings you like. Their scampi on linguini was quite good as well, and the penne with vodka sauce excellent. Why oh why would you get Pappa John's when Dominics is so very good? Huge portions, nicely priced and always a hello from the kitchen crew. I love that. read more

Not sure what all the rave is about over this place! The garlic rolls are WAY overpowered with garlic, the service is blah, and the food was bland. The rolls had more flavor (garlic overload) than the marinara did. I received my food too early, so my partner watched me eat while he waited for his calzone. Really not that great. Their idea of garlic bread was stale garlic knots with chunks of garlic and oil thrown in to a plastic bag, really? I opened the bag and oil and garlic spilled out everywhere. The entrees were ok, nothing special. Wouldn't try this place again. Very disappointed. read more

As someone who had the good fortune of living near New Haven, Ct, the well know (epi-center) of Legendary Pizza in America, sorry New York City & Chicago and going for years to Pepe`s, Sally`s, The Spot, Modern Apizza, etc. I think I am qualified on what is and what is (not) excellent PIzza. After moving to SE Florida almost 15 years ago, the search for a great PIzza locally has been quite an odyssey. First quickly dismissing all the National Pizza Chains that produce quick, cheap, tasteless circles of Carbohydrate`s, such as Pizza Hut, Pappa Johns, Dominos (not Dominic`s) and countless others. I finally located (my) PIe at the Original Anthony`s Wood Fired Pizza in FT Lauderdale near the Air Port. That was (home) for years until they expanded into a "Chain" although still quite good, not up to the quality the original unit produced. Later came Nick`s New Haven Style Pizza in Lake Worth, (now relocated to Boca Raton and improved even more adding Wood Fired Ovens), Tucci`s Pizza also in Boca, Fire Rock Pizza on the corner of Clematis St and Flagler Ave in WSP that closed but is now re-opened as Grimaldi`s Wood Oven NY Pizza. I can vouch for all the above and state, if you like a traditional thin crust, well done PIzza, NewHaven/NYC Style Pie, you will be very happy at any of these establishments. Also, in the traditional non-wood, Brick Oven Pizza Joints, both Pucelli`s and Jack PIzza in Delray Beach will also not disappoint either. I`m sure there are few others that I forgot or have not tripped upon by either recommendation or accident as well. My neighbor, a former Brooklyn/NJ guy who knows and loves Pizza as well myself agreed with my Pizza recommendations too. He suggested I try a new place for me that he had been to several times and claimed that (their) NYC Style Pizza was as good if not better then all the ones previously listed. So, going on his Tip, I went to Dominic`s Pizza and Italian Restaurant on Congress Ave in Boynton Beach last night. Rather then (call) my order in for Take-Out, I drove over to put my request in for a Pizza cooked to my specifications and degree of well doneness. The PIzza Guy preparing and baking behind the counter named "Anthony" assured me that I indeed came to the right establishment and assured me as well that I won`t be disappointed. He prepared the PIzza, baked in their Brick Oven for almost 25 minutes and produced a Golden Brown, Thin Crusted Masterpiece that simply blew my mind. After taking the boxed Pizza home and both my Wife and I devouring 2/3rds of it, I must declare, IMO, it was as good if not better then (ANY) Pizza in South Florida period! I called back immediately, spoke to Anthony, told him so, as said he picked up another happy, satisfied,dedicated customer. Not sure if Dominic`s has be reviewed yet on the Pizza Blog, Worst Pizza.com but if not, I will ask that they get out to Dominic`s as soon as they can and write up another stellar South Florida place to enjoy (quality) Pizza. Don`t simply take my advice based on my rant, stop by, order a PIzza either to eat in or take-out and see if it does`nst put a huge smile on your face. Enjoy! read more

Driving south on 95 and hunger strikes! We had tried some pizza from another location years ago so we thought we'd head back to Dominic's. So glad we did. We enjoyed a great meal and a bottle of wine and even took a Grandma's pie home for the next day! The Gorgonzola salad was off the chain, their house dressing is delicious. The Grandma's pizza was the other stand out, so delicious and flavorful with the seasonings and fresh ingredients. Chicken dish was very good but not outstanding. Next time we'll do the salad and a Grandma's pie - hope it's soon! read more

Checked YELP looking for a gluten free pizza and came up with this place with four stars. We were four people with one who needed the gluten free items. We all were thinking pizza on the way there, but the extensive menu changed our minds The meal in order: I had the pasta soup which was NOT boiling hot which allowed enjoyment from the very first spoonful. The vegetable soup received the same welcome reception. The main courses were plentiful and delicious. The eggplant rolled with the perfect cheese had me dreaming of finishing the "take home" portion today. Heated up at home it was still one of the best I have ever had. The others had chicken francaise, chicken with eggplant and last but certainly not least an outstanding gluten free pizza. The side dishes of angel hair pasta prepared exactly as requested. Not to be overlooked are the garlic and regular rolls. I don't know if we just stopped in on the perfect night, but everything was top notch, from the receptionist to the wait and bus staff to the great meal. I can only speak for their delivery, but it was very good. We had the pasta fagioli to start- it is one of the best I've had! Tons of beans and great flavor- I can tell it's something I'll be craving. The soup came with some delicious garlic knots- always a plus! We also got a pizza, great thin crust, lots of fresh toppings and a slightly spicy tomato sauce. The pizza was a bit greasy, but in a good way. The delivery was fast and friendly. The service is not five-star. I've just issues with the staff being too aloof, resulting in issues with ordering. In one particular case, I ordered an appetizer which didn't come, and the entrees came instead of the appetizer, which defeated the purpose of having an appetizer to begin with. As it turned out, the waiter didn't send the order for the appetizers. Another case I overheard a waitress having a discussion that was going nowhere with a patron, arguing as to whether he had ordered his whiskey dry or with ice. I haven't had any other issues with service. But you don't come to Dominic's to get the red carpet treatment, you go there for the lunch specials. In particular, you go to Dominic's during lunch time to get a half a sub and a slice. That'll make you full for quite a while. All of the food that I've had there is good. I've had the calamari, mozzarella sticks (triangles), pizza, and veal parmesan. Overall, I am rating the service three stars and the food four stars, and since I don't round but give priority to the food, I am giving it four stars. read more

Going to this restaurant is like a bad scene out of restaurant nightmares. As a matter of fact I believe the manager looks like one of the managers from one of the episodes. You can feel the attitude in the air. My wife had written a bad review about another incident involving that manager. Ever since then he stares at us trying to intimidate us whenever we eat there. He doesn't get a third strike. I have a bit of advice. Learn some customer service or get out of that business Dominic. By the way I'm really easy to please. Look at the other reviews I write. Most places I really enjoy. Between the staff being rude and laughing behind your back along with the manager and the police hang out it is, I'd rather go somewhere that caters to customers. I loved their food when I lived in Boca Raton & their 1st & original restaurant was located in the Home Depot shopping plaza, then they opened up Dominic's II, located in the Office Depot, Glades Road, Boca Rio Road area, which was right by my house. But now that I'm in Boynton Beach & I find that they have 2 more locations Dominic's III & Dominic's IV up here, I couldn't be happier. Their Penne alla Vodka is to die for. As are their fried calamari!! I just simply love their food. This is about as close to New York style pizza as I could possibly get. read more

The service is horrible here. They forgot to bring our appetizer, never refilled my drink throughout dinner and on top of it charged me $2 for a side of shredded cheese for my 1 Year old baby to eat! The only decent thing was the pizza. The place is crowded hardly space to walk to get out of the place. One big stupid circle. While our waitress was awesome, the food wasn't very good. The pizza, while cooked perfectly, was disgusting. All I tasted in the sauce was sugar. I don't understand how people think putting sugar in tomato sauce on a pizza is a good idea. Pizza should not be sweet!
