Shame on the hostesses! Came there with a party of 2 looking for my longtime sister friend and her boyfriends family. I told the 2 girls in front the hostesses I was there to meet a group of 4 to five people and they were not of much assistance cuz they failed to mention the back room to look so I sat like a idiot at the front watching all the cars rolling in and out and kept checking the door.. I had no towers by there restaurant, don't know why but maybe that was part the issue but there may been a little more help from the two young Chatty girls working together at the door maybe a little too Chatty not enuff work it was not busy and to tell you they both FAILED to say, hey there is more dining area in the back, smh but finally one of my friends came outside looking and the girls knew they were wrongful by not paying attention.. This review would have more stars if we had not missed dinner... We got our meals well after the table did after all was in the parking lot for 45 min. needless to say thanks to our waiter nice kid he's got great table skills too bad the cheese grater kept breaking embarrassing him poor kid.. Nice young man! Food was delicious maybe next time it will be a better experience. Food is great, huge menu hard to choose.. We met a friend here tonight for dinner. We asked for San Pellegrino water, the waitress said they didn't have any, then they "found" 2 small bottles. No problem! My husband and friend had beer and I was happy with the SP water. We ordered dinner and salads/soup (included with our entrees). We were enjoying our conversation when suddenly the entrees arrive. We told the server that we didn't have our salads yet. He offered to bring the food to the back so we could have our salads...that did not seem like a good option. Who wants to eat food that's sitting "in the back"- we knew that they weren't going to be remade and didn't want to eat hot food that wasn't going to be hot. We asked to have the salads packed to take home- although what I really wanted was a salad before my entree. The waitress didn't seem concerned with the error- she offered a glass of wine (ummm you know they were drinking beer not wine). Nothing else was mentioned. A little service recovery would have been very much appreciated. A free bottle of San Pellegrino (we paid for 2) a free cappuccino (we had 2), offer of a dessert? Nope, nothing besides wine which we were not drinking! Would have been nice if a manager or someone apologized. The food was fine, but not having the salad and soup was annoying and the careless attitude wasn't appreciated. read more

I ordered clam pasta to pick up a couple weeks ago. That was the biggest serving of pasta I have ever had. I received garlic rolls and a salad too!! So fresh & so delicious. I love this place. The staff is incredible. I would be cautious with the older generation though as the plaza does not have a ramp & the step is a little high for these old folks lol. Regardless, incredible place. Granted it was very busy due to other restaurants being closed because of the impending hurricane Irma...... but $11.00 for an Italian Margarita!! Should have been max 9.00..... that said, the chicken francese was ok and the Chicken Marsala was ok . We were very happy they were open and the waiter was nice.... atmosphere was pleasant but very warm for some reason . Again, thanks for being open. This is our 4th year spending part of the winter in Boynton Beach. We have been snow-bird regulars at Dominic's each of those 4 years. Being from the South Shore of LI, we have our choice of the very best pizza in the world. We love Dominic's pizza as much as we love the pizza from our local pizzerias on the Island. We went here on a friend's recommendation tonight. The first thing that told me things were not going to go right was when we had a 20 minute wait with many tables empty. This was clearly an indication that they were short-staffed or the kitchen was backed up. We could here a large birthday party going on in the back room. When we were finally seated, we were seated in a very uncomfortable booth and asked to be reseated at a table. The very young hostess seamed to be bothered by our request but did reseat us. We ordered and waited a very long time for our food. When the food came out, 2 of the 3 entrees were incorrect. We had to wait all over again for them to prepare the correct dishes. Our other guest's food just sat there on the table getting cold while she waited for our correct orders to arrive. The entire staff was VERY young and VERY inexperienced. We basically bussed our own tables as empty dishes accumulated. Most of the wait staff looked under the age of 15. I have nothing against young people working but they did not have the experience to run the dining room efficiently at all. There was no offer made to reduce the bill for all the inconveniences we experienced and there seemed to be no manager on site to check in. The food was decent but the service was terrible. My husband fell in love with the mozzarella basil pizza here with a crispy New York crust. I was wowed by their attentive service. It was lunch time and a girlfriend of mine met me here yesterday to eat and chit chat. The lunch specials are decent and I settled for a chicken parmesan stromboli. The chopped up chicken with the mixtures of cheeses and tomato sauce made it good. It's a mini version of a calzone with the yummy flavor of Italian all around. I ended up eating the whole thing and it had a side of marinara sauce to dip it in throughout the course of the meal. When we were seated we were offered complementary mussels, but from there it was downhill. I took my grandmother here after reading the rave reviews and after discovering that she had never been before. My grandmother doesn't mind a casual meal, but she isn't a stranger to high tea at The Ritz either. The first thing she noticed was there was only one fork. I understand this is a casual place, but when lasagna costs 14 bucks a plate, come on, even the Olive Garden gives you a salad fork. The lasagna was one row of noodles, ground beef, marinara, and mozzarella. It looked like a pasta pancake, no ricotta, no Italian sausage, no layers, no spices, or garlic. How is this lasagna? It was almost the same flavor of Chef Boyardee. The food was edible and I almost finished my plate, but this was not authentic by any means. Miami knock-off Italian authentic maybe, but not real Italian. The service was awful, not one drink refill, not one "how is your meal?", and they didn't even try to sell dessert. We sat there watching others eat after we had finished while the wait staff was nowhere to be seen. The hostess and waitress did offer apologies, but the hostess was the most sincere of the two and she had little to be sorry for as an individual. The best pasta I have ever had! I cannot say enough good things about the Rigatoni alla Vodka I had for dinner, it was absolutely superb. It came with the choice of soup or a house salad. I chose the minestrone soup and it was also excellent! The table is given the choice of regular bread or garlic bread, we chose garlic and it was a huge mistake! There is wayyyy too much garlic on the bread, making it hard to even eat. The bread itself was warm and fluffy though, so I'm sure without the garlic, it would have been great. Where this restaurant loses points is the ambiance and the service. It is pretty cramped and the decor is extremely outdated. You can tell how old the tables and chairs are, and it makes the prices on the menu seem outrageous for the atmosphere you're in. When we were seated, it took a long time for a server to come over, even though there were multiple servers helping tables all around us. In the future, I will probably just order takeout so I can enjoy the amazing food in the cleanliness and comfort of my own home. read more

There are a number of great Italian places in South Florida because of all the illegal immigrants from New York. I've tried many of them, but this place is my favorite so far. The pizza is soooo good. If you like black olives on your pizza, GET THEM: they're very high quality with a nice acidic bite. Stretchy REAL mozzarella cheese, and an interesting crust with corn meal or something... but super delicious. I always get a pizza from these guys when staying at the Hampton Inn around the corner. I just stopped for a nice lunch. Had a craving for Italian food. Great extensive lunch menu. And that's where the euphoria ended. The waitress rushed me. I chose meat lasagna. It took over 15 minutes (I had already waited 10 and no, they weren't busy) to get my order. Hey, said I, freshly made? Not so. The marinara tasted like tomato sause right out of the can. Not a hint of basilor oregano or --god forbid-- garlic. The meat was equally unseasoned. Not too sure if it was actually 100% meat. Large portion. I ate half. I did not like the pizza in this restaurant whatsoever. I am a former Pizza Man of 20 years from New York City, I ordered two slices of pizza one with pepperoni I took one bite not only did it fall apart because the pizza dough was made stretched out too thin, the sauce was only so-so, but there was a ton of dry basil in the ingredients, and that's a big No-No in the pizza industry. use fresh basil, dried basil taste like medicine, not worth the money. Today we went in for lunch. It was our fourth visit there in two years. The first time we went, several years back, I wasn't overly impressed (think Olive Garden) but my husband enjoyed his pasta with clam sauce. He went without me with a friend the second time for lunch and told me he'd never go back. He had a meatball grinder and described it as 'disgusting.' Keep in mind, we know Italian food as we both come from Italian families. He knows what good meatball grinder should taste like! We were there a little over a month ago and had a pizza and calzone. We hadn't intended to go but Bonefish Grille, next door, had a 40 minute wait and Dominic's was empty. The pizza and calzone were both good. Today was our last time. One friend ordered the salmon special. She said it was dry (and tasted like cat food with a fishy odor). My eggplant stacker looked fabulous but it had absolutely no flavor! The arugula salad on the side was fine but the eggplant needed repeat applications with the salt and pepper grinder. My husband got the chicken Marsala and said it was flavorless too. We were all using the S and P grinders a lot! The bottom line was when we asked to speak to the manager about a special order of broccoli rabe. We were questioning the bill. We knew when he came over it was a lost cause. His attitude was offensive. We also pointed to the uneaten salmon. He was defensive. "You should have sent it back" and "It's our best seller." In so many words he should have just said, "you don't like it, don't come back." Well, Mr Angry Manager Guy...we hear you and we won't be! read more

So, being from WI I love my cheese beyond belief. Like, my whole family will judge you based on your cheese choice. This place has so much cheese it's coming out of my ears! So the cheese triangles for an app are huge. Like 4 of them could feed 8 people by splitting them. The house marinara was good however not super flavor but enough to contrast the cheese and breading. The pizza was huge. Thinking we would get extra for lunch tomorrow we got a large which could feed a small army. We did the 4 cheese and the thing is packed with cheese. Both my girlfriend and I were only able to eat one slice based on how filling it was. Highly recommend and when we are back in the area will have to stop by again. read more

I am a big fan of this Dominics. Since relocating from NYC, it has become my go to for pizza and anything italian. I have tried the other area pizza spots out of curiosity but none come close to Dominics. The owner is a great guy who knows me by name. I am always treated well and the food is delicious. I recommend a double cheese with roasted garlic and pepperoni! The service is great and it's a nice clean place to eat with great outdoor seating as well. They handle large groups with no problem. Not sure what the rave is about. Garlic rolls were over cooked more like a bun with garlic (see photo). Was very disappointed. Pizza had plenty of cheese but not much sauce. The dough was chewy but not very flavorful. Just average. However the garlic rolls were free and the pizza is cheap. I wont be back though. Really wanted to like this place. If you want really good Pizza, Spadinis near Mizner in Boca is awesome. Fyi Im from NJ and pizza there is really good. read more
