I own multiple condos and I have been a realtor on Staten Island for 35 years. I have served on my condo's board and have dealt with many Property Managers through my professional work and my investments. In 41 years we've had six management companies. Dome is one of two that are disasters, and the other is long out of business. Only open 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, other times forget services. Convinced our Board to spend thousands on a fence to "keep out unwanted animals". The only one blocked is an 8-point buck deer that had been coming around sometimes for three years. Supposed to keep out cats that kept rats away, fortunately without success. Hired a lawn service that lawnmowered a 30 year old rose bush, weedwhacked azaleas. External lights burn out, left out for weeks even after residents report this. Heat supposed to be turned on as of October 1, still no heat October 11 (48 degrees last night). Not worth a tenth of the fee they are paid, and althoughn the property's underlying mortgage was paid off in full, with Dome the monthly charges have increased each year. read more

Absolutely worst, rude and are thieves. Constantly fabricating fees including parking fines! They are not police dept. My tenant parked on the street without proper plates or insurance so they decided to ticket me the landlord! Never replied to email or letters and very rude on phone. Harassed my tenants also. Dome was no where to be found during Winter storm Jonas January 2016. Not once did they come plow our community at Olde Stone Common on presentation circle. The community had to take measures into their own hands and clear the streets for cars and possibly emergency vehicles to pass. Our rates keep going up up up and service is getting worse worse worse. Clearly this company just wants to collect from people but doesn't manage the property properly. I am a neighbor that has property on the other side of the fence from Barlow court. I have given the courtesy of phone calls to the property management company which is DOME, several times. Including the time the garbage area had rats. I do not feel like they advocate for home owners. Calls are screened, can not get the property manager on the phone and emails go unanswered. I do not feel like they deliver on the goals noted on their website. I would not recommend them. I'm didn't even want to click on stars..I've been in the armstrong garden condos for about 6 years now with the same leak reoccurring and nothing being done. We live with laundry rooms that don't work, moldy carpets and walls, broken mailboxes, the list could go on. My landlord and i have fought for years for them to improve things and change the water issues among many more. They do absolutely nothing.. the answer from the property manager Gail was that she can't speak to tenants? It is disgraceful what they put people through and to think people actually own these condos? Don't buy if they are managed by them and surely do not rent because the management treats you like you don't even matter. I called three times today to get ahead of this issue, instead we chose to ignore me and now there is water falling from the ceiling. Horrible! On top of the horrible snow service and rude representatives, they are are unable to fill out important occupancy papers required to refinance a loan. The same paper which they were able to fill out when acquiring our first loan, they "didn't have the information" to fill out 4 years later. In the representative said "You can go look through the book and see if you could find it". BULLSHIT- that is your job. Dome management should hire more staff if it is too overbearing for the one lady who takes care of all their properties. Now, Saturday, October 27th - a stench from our hallways is progressively worsening so that we have heard at least 3 people gag when entering and exiting our building. After calling and explaining the situation we were told "It would have to wait because we are preparing for the hurricane emergency". Great - so when we are stuck in our house because of the hurricane, and the smell seeps through our doors and into our homes we wil be forced to endure the nauseating odor because they couldn't take an hour out of 1 Saturday to deal with another emergency situation. As a home owner in a property was managed by Done from December 1991 to 2004. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. All my phone calls and emails were returned promptly and politely. The home owners association was responsible for hiring snow removers and gardeners. The board choose to save money and not hire ppl to main Developments grounds. Dome was directed by the Home Owners association and when I called they would offer the names of quality ppl that I could hire to make repairs. As an owner of my town home I was responsible for maintains my property and Townhouse,. I accidentally over paid my home owners dues and after providing receipts. I was promptly repaid. read more

They are the absolute worst. If your buying a house and the HOA is managed by dome, do not buy it! Even if it's your dream home. I pay and pay and pay a ton of money every month and nothing gets done. I call and call and call again until my head hurts and get the run around. The street light has-been out for months but no one ever comes. Spoke to Dan, Gail, Maria, Nicole, Nick and basically everyone over there and nothing gets done. They are terrible. Anything you need is at a cost to you. I needed the buy-laws to sell my house. I did not get them when I purchase my house, but had to pay 100.00 to get them to sell. I sent the check and waited for 2 weeks no document. Called to find out that the check was sitting on someone's desk. Good thing I sent for them early or this delay could have set back the closing. I asked if they could e-mail them to me and I would print them. The answer was NO. Because they wanted that 100.00 for some paper to be printed. Really 100.00 it cost to print a document? Received a new bill in the mail for 180.00 extra cost for whoever knows what. I sent this check and about 2 weeks ago. The check has not been cashed yet. I then get a bill in the mail for September's dues with the 180.00 included. The 180 would have been paid if you cashed the check. I have the metal covers over the sewer they were all rusted. I asked if someone could come to paint them because it made the property look awful. Nothing was done. I paid the painter to paint them due to me putting the house up for sale. Is this my responsibility. I have been living there for 15 years and never once has them doors been painted. Snow removal is done and is dumped on my side street. They broke my entire fence because they pilled the snow on top of the fence. Dome did not want to hear anything about fixing my fence. I had to pay to have it torn down. I can not even count how many managers they have gone through over the years. What does that tell you. The association is run very poorly. You can not depend on them for anything. All they want is more and more money and do nothing for you. read more

This past winter they barely sent snow plows to clean our roads, and when they finally sent once, the guys truck was broken. All the neighbors had to shovel our own snow! I complained to them about a neighbor posing a fire hazard on the community, they hung up the phone on me several times and refused to contact the homeowner with a complaint letter. Management? They recently updated their billing system. They have been offering online statements for months, if you supply your email address. I have supplied my email address multiple times but still receive a snail mail bill around the due date. So far their new system is as bad as the old one. A lot of hype and nothing else. They raised our fees to install a hydrant that was not needed and was never installed. Where is my money going? Try asking them. Good luck getting a response. read more

Read the reviews, not just here but elsewhere. The companies they seem to contract with supply shoddy work...why do they chose them? Although the management company collects your fees, they are responsible for managing a budget to run the property. They negotiate contracts to make sure the property is maintained, but I'm sure there are kickbacks involved. If the dealings are such, you probably are not getting the level of service you deserve. As far as Dome is concerned, the people are very rude and unprofessional. I've witnessed it on several occasions. They definitely are understaffed and much of the staff they have is incompetent or arrogant. Too much of the family is involved to save a buck. They are making too much money and are responsible for too many communities to be running an operation the way they do. read more

Once owned and operated by a friendly older woman who actually cared and took care of this business, was bought out or taken over most likely by one of the staten island builders so called "cousins or family members" where the company has completely flipped inside out charging whatever they want and doing absolutely nothing for anyone. Rockland Square homeowners were told by the builders prior to purchasing their homes that association fees would be $20 a month and never go up. Less than a year later they were $50 a month and climbing. Half of Dome's association fees consist of administration fees. Really, for what???? I was curious if anyone is an annoyed and confused by Dome's responsibilities as we are and not surprisingly everyone is very unhappy with their "management." When a company name is literally Do Me, its a bad sign to be under their control. Place is neglected, terrible landscaping, no snow removal although theyre billing or should i say overbilling home owners. Since I hired landscapers to maintain my backyard, I asked them how much would they charge to service our community. The price they quoted me is 1/3 of what Dome is billing homeowners according to the yearly invoice they've manufactured. I tried bringing it 2 their attention hoping they would change contractors to Save us some yearly expenses, not to mention improve work that their landscaper allegedly does. At times it seems that they come by monthly not biweekly like most other landscapers do. Refusing to take their name or phone number they have suggested I switch to their chosen contractor who would beat anyone's price! That was a joke or a threat in code subject to interpretation Anoyher interaction i had is when i tried emailing to ask for any literature outlining their duties but was ignored. Calling proved a struggle to keep a sane leveled head. A woman with a heavy smokers accent picked up the phone with a tone that implied she was annoyed to answer the phone or talk to me before i even said a word. If you don't like where you work maybe you should get another job , lady. She failed to answer any of my questions and said her supervisor would have to call me back. Of course noone called back. Did i mention amount of F bombs and other obscenities came out of her mouth? You would think you're at a cheap strip club. Upon doing some research, turns out the community president Michael Moltisen is a "lawyer" whom DOME also pays for mysterious services. Its definitely a conflict of interest, CONSPIRACY, and a clear case of EMBEZZLING funds from ignorant unsuspecting trusting hard working families. Upon reading other reviews it seems they are abusing homeowners with bully tactics, harassment, fines, and by neglecting their responsibilities. When my parents bought the property they had no choice of which property management company to use because it was part of nyc government development plans. We have been paying every month for the last 13 yrs, but when the light in the driveway needs repair, they told us they can't repair it because it is too much money and the "community board" did not approve the repair...BS! My parents paid them $30/ month x 12mons/yr x 12yrs = $4320!!! That's only from one household... I have 2 other neighbors who share the driveway =$12960 for the last 12 yrs and they have the nerve to tell us they can't repair the light because it will cost them$330 to fix the light... you tell me if this isn't a scam between nyc government and Dome property management, I don't know what this is. read more

They are responsible for maintenance in our community and I am still trying to figure out what exactly we pay for after seven years. They are suppose to handle fixing pot holes, replace light bulbs, upkeep of the children's park and snow removal. Needless to say none of these items seem to get resolved. They always highlight a concern with lack of resources when you actually speak to someone or its their vendors' issue. I don't know...how about employing better vendors and holding them accountable to get the job done. If you don't have enough snow removal resources employee more, especially when there are large storms and sufficient notice. I would provide 1/2 a star I could. the only reason they even get 1 star is because i have to give 1 star to write this damn review. my condo is up for sale. a few months ago we had all the walls/ceilings painted to have the house ready for show. that was not cheap. we would check in on the house twice a week. last Tuesday I went and noticed there was a brand new leak in the ceiling coming from the roof on the top floor. My husband and I have called over 20 times and its now 1 week later. We keep getting told we will get a call back, ZERO calls returned. They finally told us Saturday Trevor would come @ 10am, we waiting till 3pm, no damn Trevor--shocker! I called numerous times on Saturday, service was not helpful AT ALL. I called Dome and spoke to the ever friendly and top notch pleasant person named GAIL (get the sarcasm?). Ms. Gail is a nasty individual with no customer service skills, insists on talking over you and yelling, and acting like it's out fault no one has come to the fix the roof. and of course, it rained again last night, when the rain stopped we checked in on the house and GUESS WHAT.....MORE FREAKING WATER DAMAGE all across the walls and our rug because thats what happens when you wait a week to have someone fix a leak. Also, I forgot to mention, this is 4th time we have had the same damn leak in the same spot. And of course, DOME is not responsible for the damage inside which was CAUSED BY THE DAMAGE OUTSIDE - which I think they should totally be responsible for. read more
