I loved the tenderloin and the tri-tip but again, order lots of things and find out what you love. You put your circular card on the green side when you want to be asked to try various meats on skewers, or you can out it on the red side when you need a break or you're done. They have plenty of drinks like the fresh limeade which are not included in the price of the meal and their desserts are quite impressive too. But if you want to eat dessert like a local, ask for the grilled bananas and a side of ice cream and some cinnamon. My oh my. And be careful. They will not stop sending bananas unless you finally put up the white flag. They have locations plenty in the US and other parts but they dont hold a candle to the ones in Rio. There is one in Barra with a great view of the lagoon and another in Botafogo with a marvelous view of the bay and Sugar Loaf!!!

There were different offerings of meat compared to the states. The beef rib is definitely better than Houston's. The best was probably the prime rib or ribeye steak. My wife had shrimp tossed in pasta, and I had a crusted filet of fish over risotto, and both were excellent. Service is prompt and cordial. Very little English spoken, but the menus have English translations. Wine & beer served. Of the two (this one and Bartholomeu), we preferred the latter -- but if you have two nights in town I would definitely suggest trying them both; can't go wrong with either one. Brazilians dine relatively late, so if you arrive at either one in the 6:00-to-7:00 range there is no need for reservations.

We got the steak for dinner, the portion was for 2 people but the meat but very fatty and tough. Service is slow and rather inconsiderate. When the table behind us asked for napkins, the waiter looked at our table where our main course had just been cleared up and snatched the napkins from our table to put on theirs. Such an odd thing to do! I would come back for drinks on the beach and the live music but I wouldn't eat here again.
