After hearing so many good things about this bakery, I went there on a Saturday afternoon just…read morebefore its closing time (4 p.m.). At this hour of the day, the selection of bread and pastries was rather limited (which is understandable) so I tried the "pain au chocolat", croissant, and regular "baguette".
The "pain au chocolat" and "croissant" were both good although they could have used a little more butter in their preparation. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the "baguette": it lacked sponginess and felt dry. You might argue that this is due to the fact that it wasn't bought fresh out of the oven in the morning. But anyways, a good "baguette" should still be good at 4 p.m. and is usually still OK the next morning.
I don't think I'll be going back for their famed "baguette" as there are other bakeries/shops (e.g. SAM) where you can get good bread in Warsaw. All of these undoubtedly won't be using flour imported straight from the Fouché mills in France but seriously, who cares ? (Nice marketing though)
