Flying dolphins? In my dolphin swim adventure? It's more likely than you think!! Great performers! Lots of fun to swim with!
Jeff O.

A flippin' good time Our visit was to the sister site in Saint Augustine, Florida. Marineland. We had a wonderful time. We got to see a show before we were invited into our swim session. The dolphins are such majestic creatures and their handlers are smiling, friendly, knowledgeable people! They answered all our questions and happily shared details about their backgrounds in Marine mammal science and care-taking. You can tell the staff work hard there. The surfaces of all the buildings, decks and pools are all sparkling clean. The water is fresh and not so chlorinated as to smell bad yet it was crystal clear so I imagine it must be very intensively filtered. The dolphins seemed to be smiling. I don't think I was imagining it. They seem well-fed and happy! The porpoises are very proud performers. You can tell they train every day and are totally into their routine! I was so dazzled by being in their presence I nearly missed a cue or two in the water. It was such a special day! I'm sure the dolphins understand how amazed we are being up close and personal with them. The staff were very helpful and gave good instructions. It's nothing to see a dolphin on TV. It's better in a live show. However I have seen dolphins in seaquariums numbers of times. It's a great experience. The show here was good. When you get in the water with them though, that's something else!! They're intelligent and empathic creatures. You really must try it sometime to appreciate the experience. I will be back one day and hope that is not too long from now. I highly recommend it and Dolphin World centers to do it in!

This is really a 4.5 My sister recently lost her husband of 50+ years. Her bucket list included swimming with the dolphins so we took her here. It was very structured and a little bit limited in your time and your interactions with the dolphin but was done very well within the parameters. The staff and trainers were very friendly and good at their jobs. The dolphin show at the end was very entertaining for all ages and they have a great system to give you great pictures of yourself with the dolphin that works very well. My sister was very happy. The other part of the park consisted of some birds, penguins, alligators etc but is very limited and basically not really necessary.

The realization of a long-time bucket list item. Staff was fantastic, dolphins were even better. Will do again when I return to the area.

Okay, this has been a totally odd experience. It started with a 5 star review by me when we were…read morein the process of getting our large group cruise put together. Consider it excited optimism as a first time group coordinator who was full of hope and promise. Then we do the sailing. I followed up with the one star review that follows: "Okay, our cruise is done and I'm not all too pleased. The Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas and it's staff were great, but Regency sucked, IMHO. First off, the communication gaffs were horrible. We had 133 people on a 2700 passenger ship, or 5% of the total passengers. Sure, we're not the biggest group ever, but every customer is important. The problems: 1. Couldn't reach my agent, Linda, for final info, large package loading & contact on board for our room the Friday before we sailed. 2. That would have been no biggie except that on Monday, the day we sailed, she was unreachable after the morning when I had some issues with the situations on board. 3. The scheduled bus pick up time was booked 1 hour later than she told me she'd book it for us, causing 50 some-odd people to wait an extra 30 minutes in the sun for the first bus and another 30 people to wait 90 minutes in the sun for the second bus. 4. We had used some GAP points to give our passengers a bottle of Champagne in their stateroom, which was there, but with her & Regency taking credit for it. 5. Even though she stated there was a chance I wouldn't get an upgrade as a large group leader (and was assured not to book a higher grade), my wife and two children were shoehorned into a standard room when the cruise line sold the super high cost huge rooms that had been available for cents on the dollar to help fill the boat. If I had known they'd do that, I would have paid for one of them, she should have known that they do this. 6. After speaking with experienced cruisers, they stated that she should have booked herself on this cruise with a group our size, to make sure everything went perfectly. 7. She was paying for one of the buses, yet I got charged for both, and only a review of my CC statement caught that, after which the charge for the other bus was removed from me and put on them. I thought we were really getting top of the line help and assistance, but, in review of my notes of situations and some communication gaps, I think I was wrong about my first review. I guess I was just happily anxious and new to being the leader of a big group sailing. What really cheesed me was that on Monday when we sailed, I called her at noon from the boat and was told she'd left the office for the day (on a Monday) and called her cell phone. Yet, I received no calls back, nor did I get one today to see how everything went as a wrap. She was pushing to get another trip booked for later in the year. We'll have another big cruise (I'll let all my yelp friends know too, could be a fun event!!), but it won't be through Regency. Saddest thing is that Linda is one of the owners and her son & daughter play in my league and we should have received even more superior care. I know I'm not their only customer and I'm no more important than any of the others, but this just doesn't sit well with me. Oh well, live and learn and move on." Now fast forward to us awaiting our check from Regency for some money due back from RCCL that was being processed by Regency. I had been made aware that the check had been cut on January 26th but still hadn't received anything by late February. I then called them, specifically Linda, to find out what was going on. I was told Linda was on vacation until March 23rd and would have to wait until she got back, and then there was some seemingly subtle hint of her not liking the review I'd left on Yelp, which might have led to the delay. This was the gist of what was quickly stated by the person on the phone and then not followed up with by them, as I had to leave a message for the co-owner, Cindy. I spoke to Cindy, who's the co-owner of the agency with Linda, a little later, both via phone & email. She was unaware of the situation and none too pleased with what I had to tell her. She wasn't upset with me, but with how we were handled. I wasn't sure what direction this was going to go, so I removed all my reviews of them, as I wanted to make sure I received the money due us. Not that everything's clear, I've decided to post my whole ordeal. I have to give big props to Cindy, as she handled the situation professionally and quickly, while being apologetic about it. The reason they're getting two stars is her follow up. Having not dealt with the remainder of the agency, I can't speak for how good of a job they'd do, but I stand by my results from the dealings with Linda at cruise time, which were very disappointing. Like I said in my original deleted review, move on and up and go from there.

You get an elevated experience without the elevated cost(s) like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity, Virgin, etc. What PCL lacks in on-board entertainment (i.e. water slides, roller coasters, games, and entertainment), they make up for in quality, customer service, and a luxury experience... If you're looking for a party cruise, PCL is not it. Albeit if you want peace/quiet, fine dining, and a laid back atmosphere, PCL is the way to go. Princess very much has a distinct clientele and it's geared toward the older audience... I jokingly call it the "AARP Club Cruise Line", but the guests are overall friendly, respectful, and professional (you have exactly a 99.99% chance of *not* being jumped at sea or dragged into a bar fight because the riff raff had one too many on the pool deck during a sea day). The ships have a very vintage look and are not huge, but "big enough" and offer high-end amenities. You can be as busy or as slow as you want to be and PCL has options for both. Overall for the price and quality, PCL is arguably our favorite cruise line... We've cruised extensively with Royal Caribbean, but Princess has made it very hard to go back.

We went on an 8-night Princess Regal Caribbean Cruise from April 3-11, and it is NOT something we…read morewould recommend or do again. Overall, it was understaffed, lacked basic amenities, including long lines for literally everything, and had cheap-feeling nickle-and-diming/upselling that made for a very poor and unrelaxing vacation. Read on to see bullet points breaking down our experience: Embarkation/Debarkation Absolutely no organization during embarkation. Long lines with no guidance. We heard group numbers being called, but we hadn't been handed a group number when we checked in. We finally ended up asking the person calling them...at which point, we finally got handed a group number to board. Debarkation was mildly better and more organized, with group numbers assigned and staff doing a better job of directing. Room Upgrade Bidding Process You can bid on a room upgrade on the app. The process involves using your credit card to make an offer on the room upgrade you want. The app will tell you whether your bid is "poor, good, strong, etc." You will NOT be told whether you won your bid until the day before the cruise leaves. This process felt cheap and greedy to us. We would never do it again. Room We had a balcony stateroom. Spacious enough for the two of us and clean. The staff was incredible, working around our schedule for both daily room service and turndown service. Drink Package We bought the Princess Plus Drink Package - 15-drink max a day; only two casual restaurant options (no fine dining). Long lines at bars plus limited bar openings meant we couldn't even come close to the full 15 drinks each day. Room service to deliver drinks WAS timely, but had super limited options. Our joke was "You can have the drink package...if you can get the drinks." Fitness Center HOT, with no noticeable a/c; absolutely brutal for cardio workouts. No water bottles offered or bottle-filling station; one single water fountain with hot water dispensed - really, Princess? You can't spring for a bottle-filling station. So frustrating, and workouts were miserable. Good range of equipment. Entertainment Lots of live music; some fun variety shows. Comedians were really funny. Pedro was by far the best host of the game shows and trivia events. Spa/Massage Staff was kind, but LORD, the upselling was ridiculous. Couples' massage that should have been relaxing was anything but, as it felt more like a sales pitch the entire time. Casino We enjoy gambling, but again, understaffing meant tables were on limited openings (e.g. craps, Blackjack). Servers was nowhere to be seen...we'd play for an hour or more before they took our drink orders. Pool/Lounge Areas Not nearly enough pool chairs; we rarely could find a spot to lay out. Interestingly, they had a ton tied off, but many people were stuck walking around and looking for a spot to sit, especially on sea-only days. Pool is great for kids. Service staff to take drink orders was pretty much nonexistent. Nickle-and-Diming Many of the dining locations required more money, including the steakhouse, fine dining, even the gelato. Super frustrating if you wanted a nice night out. Staff Overall Very courteous and professional. Understaffing led to long wait times. This cruise really soured cruises in general for us. We recommend a different line, like Holland (if you want to stay in the Carnival family), or Norwegian, Celebrity, or Virgin. Just do your research on what fits your vibe, but skip Princess if you can.

We also cruised on Allure of the Sea and Harmony of the Sea, in previous years. On our second trip with this same group, we tried a Princess ship. We've traveled often on Princess, and as adult travelers, we enjoyed it. BUT, and this is a big but, (you should excuse the expression), there is SO MUCH MORE for kids as well as adults, to do onboard this ship!!! So, we returned, for a third time, to the Oasis class ships. There are Broadway caliber shows, an ice show, an aqua show, and of course, comedy shows, and musicians everywhere, even (spoiler alert) a piano player with an upright piano on wheels, who has been seen entertaining while riding up and down on an elevator. Ice skating, water slides, a dry slide, 10 stories high, a carousel, pools for all, plus one's just for kids and one for adults only. There is a zip line, two rock walls, two flow riders, three pickleball courts, basketball, mini golf, day camp for many age groups, an escape room (a nominal fee), piano bar, karaoke venue, and so much more, no extra charge! There is an enormous atrium three stories high, large enough for parades. Central Park is just above it, with large, full grown trees and plants everywhere, including colorful orchids and bougainvillea, open to the sky. All of the above is included. There are many dining choices and many high end stores. This ship has something for everyone! Note: once you reserve your cruise, find out if and when you can book shore excursions and make reservations for all entertainment, book any specialty restaurants you may want to go to. The entertainment is included, (no extra charge), however, most of the specialty restaurants have a fee. A couple of tips: *You are permitted to bring one 1 liter bottle of wine, (21+ years old, and a case of cans of soft drinks per person. Especially during holidays. You will get discounts based on # of days there. I book for all 3 families and put them on my card, so savings add up quickly. They promptly take you to your ship. One very nice thing... they waited for us all to arrive and took us to the ship, all eleven of us, together. We got picked up at the pier as our group of 11 as well. They valet Parkland, Florida your car and when you return, the van drops you off at your car. Nice service. *our experience at the Port of Miami, however, has been very different. We tried to, park at an off site location one time. It was in a public parking garage. Then you had to call for a pickup. It took forever... or felt that way. The others we were traveling with parked onsite at the pier. They waited 45minutes for us to arrive curbside. Onsite parking is simple. You can park and walk your luggage across the street to the ship.
