YUM!! Hubs and I hit up brunch on a Saturday morning. It was hopping, but we were seated right away and coffee was fresh and plentiful!! The waiter did spill my coffee all over the table but was quick to apologize and clean up. ;) Food was good. Selection wasn't huge, but they customized to our needs as soon as we asked!! Excellent service, I'd say the best I've experienced in the last 10 years or so. they were so attentive but not intrusive. I had the 1/2 order biscuits & gravy w/ 2 eggs & hash browns & coffee. A lot of great tasting hot food. Those biscuits and hash browns were spot on. First really hot food I've been served since coming to Spokane 2 years ago. My wife and I ate her yesterday for the first time. The inside is small, some counter seating and a few booths; the interiors has been nicely remodeled and the staff was very attentive. We shared the Chicken Fried Steak, which came with potatoes, eggs, and biscuit; this was more than the two of us could eat. The steak was nicely breaded and crunchy with a flavorful gravy on top, the meat being very tender, delicious. The eggs were over easy, standard. The potatoes were seasoned with red and green peppers and onions, very tasty. The Biscuit was huge, with fresh raspberry jam, very tasty. We were in Spokane for a long weekend and went to Dolly's for breakfast. I loved the fact that we were able to be served inside during COVID. The place is cute and well maintained. Food was excellent. I understand that COVID has created a worker shortage and there was help wanted signage in the window which is why I understand the wait time between ordering and food delivery. But noted that during this same time the drink refills were continuous. I would definitely recommend this place. The person fulfilling our order found out we were tourists and made some great recommendations on sight seeing. read more

Fried eggs not even fried more like poached I want my eggs fried!! 2 little pieces of bacon and a under cooked English muffin. Absolutely, one of the best breakfast joints my wife and I have ever been to. We came over to Spokane for our anniversary the weekend of July 24th and 25th. Stopped in to Dolly's for a bite and were welcomed by some of the best folks ever. The manager and the owner run a tight ship and the employees are wonderful. The food is awesome. My wife is VERY particular about hollandaise sauce, and she is quoted as saying "It makes me wanna do a happy dance". The restaurant is on the small side, but the atmosphere is like a group of friends around the table enjoying each other's company. Thank you to the waitress that pointed us to the Spokane Valley Mall for better shopping, because the downtown choices were "Lame" (L-shape with hand on forehead). You all are a great bunch of folks and you can be darn sure that we will be back, and will point as many of our friends that direction! Thanks!!!! read more

Located at the corner of Washington and Indiana, Dolly's is in a small building and has a decent amount of parking. As I have a bad back and hip, the narrow seating in the booths was too much for me, so Scott and I sat at the counter . . . . . . I believe that is the only negative I have about the place! Scott ordered a combo and coffee . . . me being me, I ordered 1 pancake with blueberries, a side of hash browns and hot tea. Both of our bills came out at a couple of dollars under $20. - Pancake with Blueberries, cream butter and whipped cream . . . yum, yum, yum! I used just a little syrup near the end . . . too good for syrup! - The waitress asked if I wanted regular or crispy hash browns . . . huh. Regular for me, thanks, 'cause I like the flavor of potatoes . . . and these were also yum, yum, yum! Flavorful and tender and perfect cooked! - Orange Spice tea, the cup was nicely sized, and a pot bulb of hot water on the side. No need to ask for more hot water here! I forget how good this restaurant is for breakfast. (Lunch too...but I usually go for breakfast). Everything tastes fresh and good. Super friendly wait staff who all pitch in to help one another and take care of customers even when it's busy...and it's usually busy. I love their bread...tastes fresh and homemade. The jam is so good (I guess they don't make it but order it from a vendor in Seattle). There is always plenty of food and it always tastes great! Exemplemary service and superb facility condition. I was so impressed with how clean and well maintained the place was. Everything was polished and spiffy. Food was very tasty. We stopped in for breakfast and wasnt disappointed. I had the Belgium waffle with bacon and enjoyed it thoroughly. Husband had a scramble with french toast and loved the brread they used. It was fluffy and crispy. Chef did a great job getting it perfect. Waitress was helpful and promptly refilled water and coffee. I thought about giving four stars for the bad coffee; however, I do like my coffee extremely strong so that isnt fair. I like my coffee to come up out of the cup and slap me awake and this stuff was pretty watered down and flavorless. This place is a little hole on the wall. Nice and intimate probably way to small, but since Washington does not allow indoor sitting at restaurants it matters not. Now I would say the place is little because the food is good and if the food is good I suspect they should get a lot of business. Now let's get to the good part. The Food!!! So, I got a new off the menu selection that I will call keto stuffed omelette. It was full off thick little bites of bacon, spinach, feta, mushrooms some other cheeses and avocado. Yes, avocado!!! I took the omelette interested to see who they integrated the avocados without burning or smushing them I thought they would be over cook and black, but they were not. To keep it shot this was a good option wish they recommended to me. Now if you are from the east of the state like me and they say do you want a biscuit... well this is where they lost my star. I am not sure what I ate but that was not a biscuit to me. Yes, I ate it, but am still confused as to what it was. Supper cool guys servers and cook. Over all I would comeback. My wife and I swung by Dolly's on a Friday around noon and the place was fairly busy. The first thing we noticed was how small the place was and once inside the restaurant the decor left something to be desired. But hey, I don't care what the place looks like if the food is good. The waitress was Johnny on the spot to offer up coffee and we accepted; best cup of Joe we've had in a long time! Dolly's was originally recommended by a co-worker who knew of my love for Eggs Benedict; I was told they had the best in town. WRONG! The Eggs Benedict wasn't the best in town-it was the best I've EVER HAD. Period. I've traveled through many states and if a restaurant has EB, I order it. My wife had the Country Benedict and was equally impressed. I would say that the sausage patty was VERY perfume-y, which I don't like. That being said though, I don't like sausage much anyway. The gravy and biscuit combo would make for an epic plate of-you guessed it! Biscuits and gravy! Each plate came with hashbrowns, which were some of the best we've had. It took us a while to realize they were seasoned with seasoning salt (I think that's what that's called), a really nice twist! Dolly's cafe was a small quite little diner type restaurant. My mom and I visited for the first time. I ordered the Vanilla Cinnamon French toast and a homage biscuit. She ordered the pancakes. Food was amazing. Best French toast I've had in Washington and the homemade biscuit is one you should not leave without trying. It comes with a heavenly homemade raspberry or strawberry jam. This is my number one favorite breakfast spot in Spokane! Growing up it would be a tradition of my mom and I to go every Sunday. We have a great relationship with the manager Travis! The service is absolutely great and the food is even better. If you are ever able to visit Dolly's, you can't miss out on the strawberry waffle! But you can't go wrong with the rest of the menu! As for space, it's not the biggest Cafe... it's more of an intimate setting. There are booths for four and then a couple of booths for two people. There's also a long bar across from the kitchen. Solid cafe for breakfast. I had the eggs, homefries and toast, and my son had the home style eggs Benedict. My meal was good. But not the best I have ever eaten. I think the potatoes were frozen.
