So my husband and I had to stop in Deming because of car trouble. Well we had to walk the evening…read moreof April 2nd. We both went into this store and asked for a flash light. Well we got a cheep one and it was messed up inside of it. So we went back in and talked to who it seems to be the GM name John. He ended up getting another one just like the one I bought and it had the same defect in it. Well he ended up getting one a little bit more expensive and he helped up make sure that it worked. Lisa the cashier was very helpful also. Both people were helpful and very nice. Even though it was about 10 minutes till they closed I didn't feel like I was being rushed out at all.

My biggest complaint is the prices were close to convenient store prices for beverages. A 16oz Pepsi was $2, 2L was $2.25 and a 1L was $1.25. So I'm sure there's good reason for it but it irritates me a little that a store that is budget discount and markets itself as "savings" isn't... Even $1.50-$1.75 for a 16oz is competitive with a lot of gas stations that have 2 for $3.50 deals. Maybe my attitude is that I went to avoid the high cost of the vending machine at my hotel.... And wasted my time going here. I ended up grabbing the 1L and then headed over to McDonalds for their $1 large drink. I wanted something cold at the time and the 1L is in the refrigerator. Other than that, the store had a lot of poor quality stuff you can get cheaper even at the grocery store with better quality equivalents. With that said, there aren't a lot of options in this town.

This place was better organized than the Family Dollar down the street…read more The prices were about the same with a couple of the things I was looking for a slight bit cheaper. For the most part it was fine. Had brand named food products and generic ones as well. I only looked at drinks and snacks.
