We were specifically looking for used books which this store used to have in abundance dedicating an entire wall. That has been reduced to a 3x4 bookcase with about 20 books. It gets worse. There was no ventilation, fans or A/C and only 2 small dressing rooms (in need of cleaning and disinfecting). Not enjoyable peeling off our drenched clothes to try on others. We walked around covering as much ground as possible since the store would be closing in less than 30 minutes. One of the old white woman working at this store singled my mom and I (we are Asian AMERICAN) out when we were trying at the mink coats (priced at $1200 and $900). The store had about 3-5 other customers trying on stuff, but this worker decided to come up to my mom and I unsolicited to tell us in a very derogatory way "you know the coats are not on sale". Why she decided to come up to the only two non-white customers to let us know is pretty obvious. (And to be clear, I know this isn't discrimination based on what I was wearing - 20k+ worth of items on me when I walked in)
