It's conveniently located near the intersection of Shelbyville Rd and the Gene Snyder, and had ample parking. I walked in and was amazed. All for under $5, there is a huge assortment of everything you can imagine -- electronic gadgets, decor, exercise equipment, cosmetics. While some of the items cater to the preteen and teen crowd (locker decorations and organizers), there is still enough for an adult to warrant a visit out there. In addition to the cell phone holder that I wanted, I also picked up some earbud headphones and a couple of sheet masks, as well as some candy, all for under $15. I also eyed some of the pool floats and exercise gear (like resistance bands and kettlebells) for my next inevitable trip. They have a superb selection of the things from books to music on several formats, more books, pins, magnets, stickers, and ephemera. I love ephemera. I really love the chance to buy something that wasn't mass produced or to give something a new life. I feel like this is a great way to have a fresh style (or your one from high school) or be a little unique. It kills me that you can buy similar shirts at the big box store and have no idea what it's about which tells me I'm old. Also the lighting in there is not oppressive. Why do people love to be under interrogation lights all the time? Fat Rabbit also features local artist cards/postcards which are a big part of my life. I am glad to have found post cards that do not require a mortgage on my least favorite nephew (or the naming rights on his first child). Most of all the people who work there are friendly.

We are in a new city and the finds are very great. We happened upon this unique vintage store. They sell local items and craft creations for sale. It's an all in one type of shop. I've been looking for that "just right" bistro table and two chairs for my new home. Months of looking and then Anna showed me an ecletic table which I didn't notice, then the piece de resistance, a perfect chair too. Can't wait to get this table home, the seat of the chair is going to be recovered with a terrific material from England covered with adorable cows. And the Polish Pottery line has been expanded with various designs.
