After spending a significant amount of time visiting multiple furniture…read morestores as well as exploring a few internet websites I went to Designer Furniture Gallery, St. George, Utah, on June 25th, 2025, and purchased Southern Motion's Westchester Collection. All Zero Gravity Recliners power head and footrests as well as USB-C ports. The sofa, loveseat and chair were all upholstered in semi-aniline, top grain leather. I felt the need to purchase the 5-year combo policy for an additional $600 plus a little extra for the White Glove Delivery Service. All said and done, the total was a lot. I left feeling well taken care of and since the furniture was a custom order, the delivery time would end up being 6 weeks, August 13th. The delivery guys were exceptionally professional, arrived on time and when setting up the furniture, we noticed a few of the manufacture defect concerns, which they took pictures of and said they would show their boss. That night I decided to apply a coat of Leather Honey Conditioner and protectant to all three pieces, and when you do that process, you'll be examining every inch of the furniture. While doing that, I found several more manufacturers' defects, took pictures and sent them to Designer Furniture. I later received a call from Devin, (I never did know what his actual title was) who also was very professional and came to the house to evaluate the defects which were many. Check out the exceptional work Southern Motion will proudly work overtime, take 6 weeks and a boatload of your money to do for you, and you as well can have furniture that no self-respecting furniture retailer would put on their Showroom floor. I've included several pictures in this review. I've never received a call from the Designer Furniture Gallery store manager, which was disappointing! Probably too busy counting his money and couldn't take the time to discuss the paying customer's legitimate complaints; not much of a "professional" IMHO. Devin mostly stayed in touch and took my calls when there were lengthy periods of "crickets." Obviously, Southern Motion didn't seem to want to discuss their fantastic, epic, Quality Control failures either, so I never received a customer service call from that ignominious excuse for a furniture company either. Finally, September 11th, 2025, approximately 4 weeks later and after I had reached out several times attempting to get some resolution, I was told there were 3 options: 1. Send all the pieces back and have them fixed. (I had already sold the furniture I was replacing, so I guess we could sit on milk crates for another 6 weeks or so.) 2. Send the defective pieces back a few at a time (lol, can you even imagine doing that?) and 3. A partial refund. Sadly enough, the partial refund seemed to be the only feasible alternative in lieu of professional grade work and customer service. (Southern Motion, when I review them, will be getting a neg 11 Stars.) What was supposed to be an ooh ahh moment turned into a disappointing O.M.G! Experience. As far as I'm concerned, neither company puts customer service very high on their priority list and reading some of the other reviews, it's apparent. It just might be a good idea when out driving around looking for furniture, to just keep driving.

This Walmart Supercenter is not as big as most, which is good. You don't have to walk as far to get…read morethings once inside. I have seen some Walmarts twice this size -at least. But "it's all good". I thought everybody here was so friendly. Pontotoc, the friendly city, "I mean small town". Maps are located in the back, not up front like most. I saw a redbox of course. They have great Wedding Cakes and you can change your tires while you get a hair cut while waiting on your prescription drugs. Now I know I'm just rambling but it's Walmart. It gets me excited like in a hurry. Perhaps the best thing about this town is that the Amish live outside this town and they can be seen with horse drawn carriages believe it or not making their way to Walmart.

The red potatoes I orderd was also in the same walmart bag with liquid rot all over them as well. There is no way something that obvious could have been over looked by mistake. The stinch and rotting liquid leaking from the bag leaves no doubt this was purposely done. I had to leave my car out of the garage and leave the trunk up to air it out enough to spray the trunk throughly with lysol. If this was someone's sick idea of a joke I'm certainly not amused. I had just started back with the pick up at the Pontotoc Ms location after a year and a half of going to Tupelo for pick ups due to another major incident at the Pontotoc location. It's sad when you can't shop local but there is NO EXCUSE for this happening. I'll start going to Tupelo again I've never experienced this POOR customer service there

First, the wrong color on one item was shipped. Next - The supposed non touch areas on the sides, and on the sides of the cushions were not leather, rather were vinyl. On both pieces of furniture the viny cracked and cracked and peeled. No direct sunlight hits the furniture. Shades are drawn. The leather is fine, but the faux leather (vinyl) is a real issue with the cracking. Not coverend under warranty, even though the cracking started at about a year of owning the furniture. Couches were comfortable initially, now the peeling vinyl cuts and scratches your legs if you wear shorts. It is just my wife and me, my kids are grown and gone with their own families, not living nearby. The sofa's seat on left side - underlying frame is made from wood with dowels in corners, broke. Although under warranty, Southern Motion said it was not covered as it was abused. Someone jumped on it was the claim. We are in early 70's, we do no jumping or have wild sex on the sofa. No kids on the sofa. Yet it broke, and Southern Motion refused warranty coverage on this too.. Our retailer has been absolutely great, working with us, repairing th sofa with parts I had them buy via Southern Motion. I could not ask more of them. It is the Southern Motion product that is the problem. All I can say is a big Caveat Emptor. I will never buy ANYTHING from or made by Southern Motion again. Paid a pretty penny for a three recliner leather sectional and a leather reclining sofa. Only had…read morethem for about 5 years...with only one person in the home. They started cracking and peeling all over the place and look horrible. Of course it is out of warranty. I called two different leather repair companies only to be told that my furniture was not real leather but had a vinyl coating. While real leather can be restored the vinyl can not be repaired. I spent good money to have good quality furniture that would last....now I've hot furniture that looks terrible and can't be repaired. This was an expensive lesson.....hope my experience can spare others from being taken by SoutherMotion

A couple of days later I went in to check my credit card account and after I used my card at the Circle K in Pontotoc, Ms., and I had not use it for long time before I filled and none after I stopped, someone had hacked or my card number and were charging purchases from different WalMarts from Toronto to California!!!I did call the store and the person who answered the phone sounded uninterested in knowing what had happened.
