It seems like the Walmart Neighborhood Marts have transitioned from moving into old grocery stores into building brand new locations. Which leads them to have brand new, brightly lit, nice looking grocery. But apparently it leads them to configure this unlike any other grocery I have been to. Besides the building itself, the biggest difference between this location and others I have been to was the produce. They had an abundance of beautiful fruits and veggies. I was shocked at how good everything looked. With Winn-Dixie now closed across the street and Publix still being on the pricey end, it looks like this is my family's new go-to when in Dothan.

Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them.
