The deli is my favorite, the deli counter person is quick to make recommendations and help put together a quick lunch. I have never had such a great check out experience at a Walmart in my life. While we were looking for things, we passed in front of the checkout area a couple of times. Several checkers offered to check us out and when we said we were still shopping, one of them said "When you're ready, come back and see me." When we were ready to check out, she was busy with another customer, but one of the other ladies "invited" us to her register. She was so sweet, fast and efficient!! Amazing! It's NOT Walmart's fault but my complaint is with their Protective Plan Insurance thru All State…read more Last July I bought an electric pellet grill from Walmart and accepted their 3-year insurance plan thru All State. I tried using this relatively new grill and the temperature gauge went haywire. It kept quickly changing temperatures from 130 to 360 and as high as the 400's before bouncing back to 130. It even shut itself off but restarted when I tried , then repeated the fluctuations. So, I went thru the Walmart website to file a claim. I was transferred to an electronic verification program for the first time, then instructed to enter my entire information like name, address, phone number and reason for contacting them. I can understand explaining why I am filing a claim but they supposedly already verified me already and why do it again?! So I did. I was then transferred to someone named "Zach" (I'm not making this up) in chat mode. He asked me again, to verify me! I asked if he has my information because I had done this twice. So I became impatient but played the verification game again. I explained AGAIN why I was filing a claim!!! I asked, "Don't you have this already?!" No direct answer. He sensed my frustration and transferred me to "Zuni" (yes, he identified himself as that) I asked if he was AI. Nope. He AGAIN wanted to verify me!!! At this point I became angry and I've worked customer service many years ago so I understand what those people go thru. But I started cursing at "Zuni" , not personally, but I was using it in generalities. I told him to look at his information on me because I've been verified several times at this point. So he asked if (blank) was my address and email address . Yes. He sent me an electronic link to enter my claim and include a picture! Why can't he just get this and do these things on his end?! I filled it out, sent picture. Frustrations continued with Zuni. I asked for his supervisor. He claimed he is not located where he is. I told him I want a transcript of this chat. He told me he can't send it to me!!! He then gave me the option of taking it to a repairman, have one come to the house for repair or send me a check. I selected taking a check after this mess. He told me I will get the amount minus the deductible. He never told me how much that will end up being so I'm expecting an unpleasant shock after this. I did their survey, gave them a Terrible rating and explained what I have here. This has been a terrible experience and not worth using AllState for ANYTHING! I worked for them as a contractor for almost a month and fired them after seeing how jacked up their company is . Don't use the Walmart experience by Walmart for ANYTHING!!

I get very tired of some people saying negative things about stores that are really quite good. It is true that all employees should take pride in their work and spend less time being involved in things that are not work oriented, and that happens everywhere, but I have never had any issues at this store. It's a small town and offers other services, and this store tries. I'd like to know if those who are so quick to judge, so to speak, have ever worked retail? Complaining is easy when you can't see the bigger picture and yes, it would be nice to see a few other stores open, for the mental health of all people, instead of seeing businesses leave because they can. People need to work and big business needs to do its best to provide that instead of being unfair to communities who have served them well, and likely for a long time. You want more probably, but make do with what is available and stop complaining, they have a great selection, and their selection is up to corporate, and they seem to do a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned and the people who work there do what they are told, and sometimes that's like mission impossible, since some of us know how that works. The key is to stay focused as a worker and a consumer, so stop complaining and do your best it could be far worse so take your blinders off. This store has what you need more times than often, and the people I have seen working hard are doing their best! They are polite and always helpful. People are spoiled...they want this and that, or impose their superficial take on things, and well, most of us are there to shop, not show off and I find food, and the basics, and yes, they have auto service, so no, don't complain. This store is clean, and does its best, and that is that! Imagine what it is like to have to work hard for any company and restock shelves, lifting, pushing, tagging, etc, etc... and all the other things you as a consumer do not know about, so get over yourself, because this store does try, and I appreciate it and so should you. Grow your own apples if you think you can do better, go for it. Be grateful for things, and yes, we need a few more businesses here because the residents deserve that, not another coffee shop, and granola bars that cost $5.00, we need more than that, I can make my own coffee and do! We also need more smaller stores too, but this is a farming area, and big stores like Walmart who provide to this community are really great too, because farmers are very busy people and so is everyone else. The little man, he is the one who built this country, don't forget him or her and deserves a chance too, so see things for what they are, and remember, this store is a nice place to shop so respect it. All the typical stereotypes and tropes apply, including having an absurdly limited number of open registers and a knack for discontinuing items as soon as you grow accustomed to purchasing them. That said, if you want quality organic produce when the local farmers' market isn't in season, this is just about the only place to get it. That alone saves it from one or two star oblivion - if only barely - but doesn't change the fact that shopping here feels more like a chore than anything remotely enjoyable.
