Great addition to downtown Mocksville! Loved finally checking out The Station, great casual spot…read morewith great pizza with a bar and a nice outdoor patio. Inside seating is limited so get there early! Was a nice evening and the fire pit was on so we sat outside. Go inside to order from the menu and they bring it to you . Get your own plates , utensils and condiments. All fully accessible. Great variety of toppings and they have cheese bread and salads and desserts and delicious gelato. We went with the cheese bread and the caprese pizza . Went across to the bar which is a separate area, they serve wine, beer and mixed drinks too. TVs for the sports fans and it's indoors but they have garage doors which I'm sure are open on nice Warmer days and evenings . Great service here ! Went back outside with our drinks, Prosecco and beer and waited for our food. Huge pizza ! Enough for 3 to share easily and we were not expecting the cheese bread to be as big as the pizza !! So there was a lot of extra to take home. The pizza was delish. Nice amount of toppings and the crust was good and buttery! Loved they roasted the tomatoes. Tried the sea salt caramel gelato , yes get it. Creamy and chunks of choclate caramel. Yum. Enjoyed the patio and catching up with friends . Look forward to coming back to try another pie!

If you haven't been to The Station lately, note there have been a few changes. Positive changes in…read moremy opinion. 1) The general store area is gone. Now a pizza restaurant. 2) Building on #1, they now sell pizza. 3) Now open on Sundays and Monday, and Thu-Fri, (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Check online in case any of this changes in the future. What hasn't changed 1) Outdoor seating area is about the same. Fire pit is still there. 2) They still sell gelato inside 3) Beer area is the same General info - Located in downtown Mocksville, in the heart of the historic district. - Location is an old gas station, which you can see from the old garage bays. - Several draft beers on the menu, including a nice selection of regional beers. - The have national brand beers in cans/bottles - Limited wine selection, but they do have some - Seltzers available in cans - PIZZA! Yes, they have pizza now which is a great thing for downtown. - Pizza by the slice ot the whole pie. They even have a cauliflower crust option (whole pie). - Kid friendly environment - No private parking. Street parking available. - Cash, card and ApplePay accepted The location is a great place to grab a beer, gelato and/or pizza. Outdoor seating is great. They also have indoor seating. I love the draft beer selection. Service is very good. I do have one minor compliant. It is the pizza crust. The ingredients seem to be high quality (toppings, etc.). There are several pizza options to choose from. The crust however is just not to my taste. It's okay, just not great. Outside of that, I highly recommend The Station. It is a great addition to downtown.

Food Lion - Yep, bone section removed. Food Lion refused to admit this was a bone in roast and wouldn't give me the sale price.

This is an example of how stores split hairs to avoid giving you the sale price on an item…read more Bone-in standing rib roasts were advertised online for $6.99 a pound I got one but they charged me $12.99 a pound because the meat sticker didn't say "bone in". When I pointed to the roast and said "that looks like a bone to me" she just said she was sorry but couldn't give me the sale price. I guess deliberately Leaving "bone in" off the meat sticker has its rewards for the store. It was the same dang cut of meat. I could have been a "Karen" but it wasn't the cashiers fault and I didn't want to end my year on such a negative note. Ok, customer for 20 years leaving feeling less than appreciated and certainly feeling slightly bamboozled. I wasn't asking for anything that wasn't advertised. I wanted the roast for a special New Years meal so I paid the ridiculous $12.99 a pound and took home an $82 roast. But that's ok. I have a long memory. And a big mouth. ADDENDUM: I prepped the roast today by cutting away the BONES and seasoning the meat with a dry marinade. Just to prove my point, I am uploading those picture to indeed PROVE it was a bone-in roast that was still on sale this past Tuesday when I bought it. Shame on you Food Lion. I am wondering how much more of the $40 you swindled out of me you will lose in lost sales from me from now on as I choose other stores over you. A lot More than $40 I can promise you that.

This Food Lion seems to always have what I'm looking for. The only time ai have issues finding…read morethings is when I go later on a Sunday. Staff is very friendly, manager is very nice. Only thing is I wish they had more registers open at a given time. There's been a few times I was behind 3 or 4 full people with full carts and they only have two registers open. They did, however, just open up four new self check out registers, which is convenient when you have three items to buy and every one else waiting has full carts.

Also sell a lot of dry goods, cokes, household items and even some home decor items. Very well organized and clean, of course it it is brand new. I think this is the 5th Dollar General in or just right outside the city limits of Mocksville. I have 4 within a 5 mile radius of my house. These things just pop up everywhere. Not really complaining because they are convenient when you don't want to fight Wal-Mart crowds just to get a package of toilet paper. Plenty of parking. They take Apply pay. There are no self checkouts which is a little disappointing. Yeah, I am in the minority when it comes to liking self checkouts.

I wasn't thrilled when a Dollar General was built at the corner of Highway 158 and Sain Road, but…read moreto my surprise, I've been pleasantly impressed. The store offers ample parking, and it's easy to enter and exit from either 158 or Sain Road. Inside, the layout is clean and well-organized. The refrigerated section carries a great selection of top-brand items you'd find at a grocery store. There's also a wide variety of dry goods, snacks, and beverages, including Coke and Pepsi products. Essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and batteries are always stocked--perfect for a quick stop when you're in a hurry. Their selection of personal hygiene products is decent, with options for toothpaste, soap, facial cleansers, and moisturizer for both women and men. The store even carries some home décor, especially around the holidays. It's a much more convenient and stress-free alternative to running into Walmart for just a few items. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store has maintained a clean and welcoming atmosphere. They take Apple Pay. Big bonus for me! Since it's still new, I hope they continue to keep it well-stocked, tidy, and safe for customers. So far, so good!
