I have actually spit out (and then dumped) the tea because it tasted like an algae bloom in progress. At one point, they had two tea dispensers: one worked, and one was used only to dispense tea because it was broken. My husband tasted his tea, as expected it was slimy and gross so he dumped it and asked the clerk on duty if they were going to make more; he was perfectly polite to her but she was very rude to him as she said, "Only one works and NO WE ARE NOT GOING TO REPLACE IT!" That's not what he asked her. That was our last attempt to buy tea there (or any drinks for that matter) so if they have fixed the dispenser, that's changed. On another visit, there were two clerks working, and one of them stood outside practically making out with her boyfriend by the front door (and smoking), then came in and talked on her cell phone while there were customers. I have gone in a few times since then to buy gift cards or pay for gas, and luckily have not had to deal with either of these people since then. I hope they no longer work there, they were not quality employees. The ones I have dealth with lately have been super nice and polite. It seems like the store is cleaner than it was previously, also. I've noticed that the parking lot isn't as trashy as it was when we were seeing Miss Talk On the Phone all the time. My husband stops for refills before and after work, and I buy a lot of iced tea. But, the quality of the Kwik Shop tea (and some of their soda, not mixed well) is so nasty that we do all of this buiness at QuikTrip, which is actually out of our way. If KwikShop could JUST make someone clean out a dispenser regularly! Make tea regularly! (it gets bitter when it sits there, and it makes the dispenser slimy, which customers can TASTE and smell!!!!!!!!!!!!) They are really missing out on a lot of revenue here. We are far from the only people who feel this way. I have stood next to many a fellow Kwik Shop customer who similarly grimaced and dumped out a cup of tea, and then walked out. Sorry but if we want tea, chances are pretty good we aren't going to want soda instead.
