I went to Dollar General in Fyffe Alabama on Saturday October 24th and was Appalled by the greeting I got.
As soon as I entered the store the young man at check-out said " you can take your mask off our mask mandate has been lifted. "
He told this to every single customer and said it to his co-workers. He then proceeded to tell me that Covid was only cold like symptoms.
First, I work in the medical field and wear my mask to protect everyone around me because Ive been exposed sooo much during my work days.
Second, I was in there shopping for my in laws who are in their 80s and I refuse to let them out, I do not want them to get sick.
Finally, I will no longer shop DG considering they're not requiring employees to wear a mask and protect their customers.
I understand if someone has a medical problem and can't wear a mask.
Explain to me why DG would allow a teenage kid to announce to everyone that it is OK to wear a mask??
This is ridiculous and I will go to social media and word of mouth to let all of the people that I love know, there are no precautions being made to protect them at Dollar General. Shame on you Dollar General.
I hope someone please educates this kid on CDC recommendations and the seriousness of COVID. read more
