Called at 3:30 p.m. to check up on her. Oh, she still has not gone back. The vet is running behind. Checked again later. Oh, she is out. He removed 11 teeth. 11 TEETH! Does the baby have any left!? Oh yeah, she has plenty. Well, a call would have been nice to say what you are doing. You signed a paper that said we can take more out if needed. You can pick her up at 5:30 when the vet has looked at her X-rays. Pause here for a "WTF!" Is this a Veterinary Hospital or an auto shop where they are going to fix then say here is the Bill. Not that I care about the expense when it comes to my Yorkie. She can have everything from me including my life. But a little bit of communication would work. Or a hey, we are running behind maybe reschedule. Think of the possibilities if the Vet had not been running behind! Maybe 5 teeth pulled? Certainly, a rush job if she went in after 3:30 and we showed up to get her at 5:15. If you want moderately expensive service with rushed so so medical, then this is the place to go. Little to no communication. Very little caring about your beloved pet. All with a nice helping of teenager school kids at the front fanning the flame when you are mad. Get this "Have a blessed day sir!" was the parting comment from little miss kickball at the front desk. Well, these people certainly blessed my day with mediocre care and haha attitude. A blessing from Satan himself, I guess. Will never go back to this fast-food vet run by a gray-haired jolly jerk and staffed with teenagers who do not give a care other than "oh, I have to take out the trash. It's your turn!" "Have a blessed Satan day as I work at the McDonalds of Vets". Here is a side note: Our "pets" are tied to us Mind, body, and soul. Why in the world would you ever tell someone you can pick up your pets remains from them. Then you show up, and little kiss kickball hands you a bag over the front counter. Then says, would you please check to make sure everything is correct. You open the bag, and there are the keepsakes you ordered and ashes. As each one is taken out, your soul is ripped a little more because of your loss. Then more, then more until the tears are freely flowing. I am relaying an event that happened to my wife when she picked up the remains of our beloved other Yorkie at this place (another story). But I am also relaying the exact event that happened when I was there asking for my pet. A lady came in and went through the same thing. Grief pulled out of her in front of everybody. Openly crying. Me thinking as I watch this: HOW ABOUT A F*CKING ROOM FOR HER TO RECEIVE THIS! EVEN BETTER, HOW ABOUT BEETLEJUICE THE VET BRING IT TO HER AS HE IS THE ONE THAT KILLED HER PET! TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND MAN UP INSTEAD OF RUN BACK TO YOUR CAVE IN THE BACK OF THE OFFICE. I superimposed my wife standing there doing the same thing. How cruel is the dollar to our emotions your business is. Now Mr. Vet, if you dare read this, you know why I insisted we stand in the lobby and talk about my Yorkie instead of in a room. I did you a huge favor. You would not have liked being in an 8'x 8' room with a pissed off 6'8" 320lb man that you have pissed off. Again.

Two stars for overall price of boarding compared to other boarding doggie daycares, other than…read morerates, Bruno's is zero stars. We called and made arrangements to board our two dogs at Bruno's for 3 days. I emailed them a copy of our dogs' vaccination records TWO days prior to drop off and instructed them to call me if there were any issues with the records. I received an email back that day, letting me know the records were received and we were good to go. We arrived at Bruno's at 9:45 and we allotted 20 minutes in our schedule for check in. Considering Bruno's already had our dogs vaccination records and initial paperwork on file, we felt 20 minutes was more than adequate. 1st- the place reeked of dog urine. Yes, it's a boarding/daycare facility but we've been to several other places that did not smell. 2nd- the individual doing the intake, could not find our paperwork. She spent 15 minutes fooling around on the computer and had to call "someone" to track them down. Low and behold, our records and had been printed out on Monday which did us ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD. Turns out Bruno's misplaced one dogs proof of rabies and the others proof of DA2pp. Luckily I had the rabies saved to my phone but we were not as fortunate with the DA2PP. At this point, 30 minutes have passed, we are behind schedule. Our vet is closed on Wednesday so no chance of calling to confirm vaccinations at which point we are told to go next door and get the dog re-vaccinated (or we could pay extra to board said dog as 'non-social' since he was UTD on shots). We go next door to the vet and lo and behold, there are no vets or techs on site to administer vaccinations. Back to Bruno's we go, 40 minutes behind schedule where the person at reception says, "sorry yeah, the vet just called and said they're closed". Sorry? Luckily my husband found a vet 10 minutes away who WAS open. 11:15 rolls around and we are finally able to check our dogs in to Bruno's. The entire point of emailing our dogs vet records was to identify a problem to AVOID a situation just like this. Not one person called to say "hey, one dog shows and expired DA2PP"? As a result of the Bruno's fiasco, we hit lunch traffic in San Antonio and were late for a doctors appointment. Guess what happens when you're late for a dr Appointment? They fit you in where they can which meant 3:00 pm. We picked up our dogs a day early and again, the place reeks of dog urine. Camp Bowwow, Lucy's in SA... they don't smell. No apology from the Bruno's and the staff provided ZERO feedback on how our dogs did. Again, not typical of other boarding facilities. Apparently the manager (or someone) gave us 10% off our boarding bill but we had to figure that out on our own after we looked at the receipt. 10% = $11.00. Sorry but my time was worth WAY more than $10.00. Bottom line, look into other places to board your dog. If you MUST board at their Bruno's, don't bother emailing your dogs vaccination records. Just bring it ALL in and give yourself an hour for check in. Don't expect any feedback on how your dog did or to be treated like your dog (aka business) matters.
