All the litter box's were absolutely terrible filled with their urine and poop. there enclosures were disgusting old food was everywhere, the cats look so sad and pitiful. I believe the only thing that they "rescued" the animals from was getting ran over or attacked from other animals. We love Animal Friends as it is a smaller more "homey" production that we really like. Our girls stress terribly when separated from each other or introduced to larger dogs that can trample them. Princess has brachiocephalic airways and both have collapsed tracheas, fatty lipomas and arthritis very very bad. Princess cannot be left outside in the heat as she cannot cool herself properly due to basically being born breathing thru an airway the size of a straw and panting hurts her. They were carefully lifted when needed and groomed kindly. We can tell as if handled roughly at the groomers etc. as they cannot walk due to back and shoulder issues for upwards of a week. Even so in Animal Friends care Diamond and Princess came home in good shape happy like puppies again. They assured us they had given them our specialty food and the medicine this time that we specifically provided for the old pug ailments. We were very happy this last visit and hope to continue this relationship as we travel often.
