I thought to call the homeowner and talk to him. Don't just put a lien on his property. So I called Damian, told him what was going on and informed him that we found out the contractor isn't even a legal contractor. I said I was checking into a lien on the property because they haven't been paid. We are talking $6000.00 - $7000.00 dollars worth of work here. He started threatening to sue me and get any lawyer I got to help me disbarred. Told me it wasn't his problem sue the contractor. But according to state law, it is his problem. Homeowner assumes liability for payments to sub-contractors and is subject to liens. Damien flat out lied and told us he could sue us if a lien is placed. I wouldn't recommend this man to anyone. He is rude and arrogant.
