Unprofessional respond to a billing email

My husband and I went for Covid-19 testing and were told the insurance would not cover the cost. We were charges $195 x 2. I received my Insurance statement showing they billed my insurance and received payment from my insurance carrier. Of course they have no contact information to resolve billing issues. The number I was giving goes straight to a voice mail that is full. The other option is an email address. It's been 3 weeks since I sent my 1st email and still no resolution. When I asked for an update all I got was an unprofessional email back. With no name nor contact information.

Awful what's the point of an appointment if you're still gonna sit here for two hours ??

We got a Covid test first appointment of the day and I don't think it could've gone quicker or easier.

Dr. De Escobar was the first person to listen to everything I had going on as a whole. He ran intensive bloodwork and had me do a Food Intolerance Test, and my results were shocking. My hormones were all over the place, and as for the food sensitivities, I finally had answers as to why my body always felt so inflamed. No matter the issue, I am always given the same attention when I am describing my symptoms now as to when I first became a patient back in 2016. He offers insight to diet, supplements, allergies, etc. He understands to treat me and every patient as a whole, both physically and mentally. I have recommended so many friends who are also experiencing hormone changes and an overall feeling of hopelessness regarding their health. The outcomes with them have all been so positive. I have brought all of my family in for allergy testing, and overall health inquiries. I am so grateful to have this office on my side. I can't say enough about them.

I very rarely post reviews but I couldn't imagine someone else experiencing what I did at Associate…read moreENT. On 4/12/21 I had an appointment with Dr. Zachs for sudden hearing loss and ringing in my ear that started when i woke up one day the previous week. Being in my mid 40's with no history and no other trauma to my ear you could imagine how horrible and confusing it would be to wake up and not hear, and have an intense ringing in my ear. Dr. Zack literally looked into my ear said i dont see anything and I didn't have an infection. When i asked about the ringing in my ear he said "oh its tinnitus". When i restated that it was in one ear and just started one day and asked about the cause, treatment, etc he said there was not any. I was seen for maybe for 5min and dismissed. You could imagine my shock, it was clear he didn't really care nor was going to waste any time trying to figure it out. When i left i was disgusted by his treatment and also the front desk attendant Melissa who was extremely rude and cared just as little as Dr. Zachs. Fortunately, I felt something was wrong and made a call to UCONN ENT department who got me in immediately, the team was attentive, concerned, and listened to what i was going through. They ran me through several hearing tests, tested me for an infection, and several other test and committed to figure it out before I left. Which the did, I had a severe infection that if left untreated could have led to permanent hearing loss. Could you imagine? One day everything is fine, the next losing your hearing?? Apparently Associated ENT has lost there way in providing a caring service focused on properly diagnosing and treating there patients as well as providing an even worse customer service experience. I feel very fortunate for UCONN and that team but still disgusted by this experience. Save yourself the time, experience, frustration, and possibly the loss of your hearing by going to someone who cares.

Six years ago I developed a red rash in the middle of my back. I'm an avid runner so I assumed it…read morewas attributed to friction caused by my sports bra. Over the next two years the rash would fade and then gradually come back. When the itching and burning finally got to a point I could no longer tolerate, I went to see a dermatologist. He gave me a very brief exam, told me that I was having an allergic reaction, and directed me to take Benadryl until I could rule out what was causing the breakout. (I should mention here, I despise taking any kind of medication.) Not wanting to endure the grogginess caused by an antihistamine for any length of time, I immediately eliminated anything and everything I thought had caused the rash. Laundry detergent. Dryer sheets. Body wash. Lotion. Shampoo. I even purchased all new cotton sports bras in fear I had an allergy to Spandex. NOTHING WORKED. In fact, the rash got worse! It spread to my chest and had gotten itchier than ever! I was completely devastated. I eventually convinced myself I was allergic to my own sweat and nothing could be done to cure me. The rash continued to get bigger, redder, and unrulier. I was suffering from the inside out. I was self-conscious and painfully uncomfortable all the time. On occasion, I would scratch my skin so hard that clear liquid would come out ... ewwww! This went on for YEARS. In early 2017 I had undergone PRK surgery on my eyes. The freedom of not having to wear contacts and glasses anymore made me feel like a billion bucks. It also got me back to thinking about that damn rash! I could only imagine how fabulous I'd feel if I could somehow get rid of it. As soon as my eyes were fully healed, I began researching local skin doctors. That's when I stumbled across Dr. Amy. With amazing patient reviews and a very professional and informative website, I felt really good about giving Dr. Amy a call. When she answered the phone and actually said she could see me that same day, I was completely blown away! A few hours later, I was sitting in her office. When I first met Dr. Amy, it felt like I was reconnecting with an old friend from college. Her kind, caring, and genuine nature made it so easy to talk to her. She spent almost a full 30 minutes asking me a variety of questions on diet, sleep patterns, exercise, health, etc. Then she looked at my rash. Within seconds, she told me she believed I had either a dairy or gluten allergy. I was ASTONISHED. In all the years of dealing with this hideous rash, not once did I ever tie it to food! Ok, so now I felt like I was getting somewhere! Dr. Amy put me on an elimination diet, which meant no dairy or gluten/wheat for a full month. She also gave me a supplement and some topical cream to use. I left the appointment feeling extremely positive. Dr. Amy must have sensed my excitement because she even gave me a hug good-bye! Ready to hear the best part of my story? My six-year-old rash cleared 100% within three days of seeing Dr. Amy. It was miraculous! Now I'm going on almost a solid two full months of being rash-free. I've gone back to see Dr. Amy twice for check-ups and she was just as excited as I was over the results. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Amy to anyone who is experiencing skin issues and is looking for a natural way to get phenomenal results. She is fantastic and just a wonderful human being all the way around!

After a visit to Ent to have earwax. I was appalled to be double billed for having earwax removed…read more When I met the doctor I had told him that I had already been seen by P.A at griffin , health and that it was earwax. I was told they also do hearing tests , and I told him that I did not need a hearing test that I could hear people talking across the street fine! After the doctor remove the airwax , he told me now get a hearing test. I assumed.\nThat he had seen something when he was removing the earwax that had superseded my position. So like the fool I am I listened to a medical expert send me for something that I didn't really need. He claimed , which I believe that I had hearing loss at higher registers. And he quickly added surprise surprise that they sell hearing aids! I paid my $50 copay twice once for the earwax removal. And once for the hearing aid test. So about three weeks later , I got a bill from the place saying that I owed a copay for the earwax removal. Upon investigation , I found that he had billed me diagnosing earwax! And I owe another copay! So I called billing failed to get a hold of them twice and left the message of what happened. And explaining I was not buying it. So billing called me, I called back.I explained to the woman three times my position. Her comprehension was pitiful. All she kept repeating was I deserved to be billed for these three services. I explained to her that I only went for the hearing test. After the doctor removed the ear wax , he said , get a hearing test. I assumed he had discovered something when he looked in my ears. So the light went on when he said they sell hearing aids. I explained my position three times. She failed to understand a single word that I said. And got upset because I was getting tired of repeating myself , and all she was doing was not understanding anything. I hardly recommend going to this establishment.I can only guess what might actually be going on there. When threatened with a yelp review , I didn't understand why it didn't bother her at all. I got on yelp and immediately saw a two star review! That is not good. I'm thinking of the state medical board.I doubt there is actually somebody to complain to at ENT. If I am forced to take these clowns to court , the minimum I will be asking for is five thousand dollars! If anybody has ever gotten through to these people, please let me know? Thank you.
