They do not allow returns of their bedding items (smaller selection than Bed/Bath or other bedding stores anyhow) but they are VERY clear about this, so I don't feel complaints or poor reviews based on that policy are warranted. All policies regarding returns/exchanges are very clearly posted and explained. No bait and switch here. So far I've been very pleased with my purchase.

Unfortunately I did end my visit early. When it comes to customer service there's a fine line between doing too much and not doing enough. No prospective customer wants to walk in and be treated as if they're invisible or don't belong. On the flip side, and overly attentive salesperson who hoovers and wont allow you to browse at your leisure is no better. My experience was the latter! As soon as I walked in the sales gal said hello, asked what I was looking for, complimented my shoes and shirt, blah blah. From here, I would have been fine with a 'let me know if you need help'. However, she was a bit intrusive with questions, and too opinionated with how I decided to conduct my visit. At one point I advised that I had visited other stores earlier (since she asked) and her response was 'we all pretty much have the same thing and same price so you wont find much difference'. I replied with 'so should i leave?'. During her line of questioning and overload of info that I had no interest in, I advised several times that i'm comfortable looking on my own, thanks for the help I'll go look around, I appreciate the info I'll let you know if I need more help. Needless to say I finally made my escape and was able to test mattress which were different than what I already saw. However while testing just two, I notice her watching me, like a lion waiting to pounce. At that point, what little interest I had exited and so did I. I would be open to returning, but only if she;s not there.

I even used their measuring tape to ensure it would fit in my vehicle as I was given the option to pick it up at the Eagan warehouse. Which I did. Upon arriving and giving the order sheet to the person there, he looked puzzled as the mattress I purchased was not even in stock at the warehouse, and the pick up date read 3/27!! That's Easter Sunday! I asked if there was another mattress close in stock, the guy back in the Woodbury store said no. I was told there was NOTHING they could do. I drove back to the Woodbury Store and now all of a sudden, there was a mattress that could work, but guess what? It's at the Eagan Warehouse! That was not about to happen. They are helpful and have a big variety of different items in the store, even though it isn't a huge place. I have bought a bed recently and got a decent price compared to other place I researched. They can also get things quickly if not and stock. They have a big touch screen app you can browse an search for things. I almost don't like that because my wife is hard to get away from it. They have artsy wall clocks and things that present a problem for me with my wife. It looks like it is owned and operated by a couple. I only see one or the other of them working whenever have stopped in. They are both pretty friendly and the wife remembered my name the last time I was there.

At first we were happy with our Tempur-pedic. Even though the sales team was a bit pushy, and after…read morewe decided to make a purchase left us sit at the checkout desk while we watched them try to sell more to new walk-ins, we were happy with ease of purchase. After about 75 days we noticed the mattress seem to holding some type of memory after leaving the bed and was no longer comfortable. We were told that it could be normal with some of those mattresses which I'm skeptical about this information. We inquired about exchanging the bed to try one of their hybrid mattresses. We asked about 100 day policy and see if they could extend that for a few weeks since the new bed wouldn't arrive until after they picked up the old mattress, delivery at the earliest is 14 days, and that would give us about 10 days to decide if it would work. We were told there is no way to extend the plan by even a few days. Our only option at this point is to get a replacement or exchange and hope for the best. If the new bed is not going to work our we would be out almost $4,000 for bed and frame or we could return the bed and pay the restocking fee for our trouble. Hopefully you will be more informed about purchasing with Mattress Firm and be lucky that the bed you pick will not have issues, and if it does you are well within the 100 days to get a replacement and have time to test it out. Out of panic in hopes to replace it quickly I called the Mattress Firm closest to me which was Maplewood. When I called your Customer Service Rep and spoke to the Manager at the Maplewood MN store he told us the mattresses can "sometimes be 75 inches give it take 2-4 inches" and that it would be 3 weeks before I could return it! I explained to him there is no disclaimer telling me this ahead of time and my son was coming home the next day from the military and I needed a full length bed! I asked if I ordered a different size would they be able to deliver it the next day and take the defective one and he stated No. They have a 3 week policy and to prove the mattress is defective I had to flip it over and then measure it and if it comes back as 73inches it's still not defective and I would have to keep it. I hung up the phone and I cried. My Husband called back and asked to speak to the General manager about your insane policy and after telling him no 3 times they finally told him they would put in a request for a call for us. Since we ordered the mattress over the phone they were able to track down that our mattress came from the New Brighton Blvd store so We got a call an hour later from a "Senior" manager not the general manager who says his name was Brian who consistently antagonized us and told us the same thing and refused to take the mattress back! The customer service was so horrible it felt like they were making a mockery of us and giving us fake names on purpose as if this whole thing was a joke. My heart still hurts over the whole thing and I've already contacted the BBB. Here we are a week later and I still haven't received a call from the GM.
