Doce is officially my favorite restaurant in Miami! Every time I visit I have to stop here. In my most recent visit, I got to try more of their menu items. My most favorite was their avocado salad. I was in the mood for something light, and this was just perfect. They give a very generous portion of avocado and their homemade dressing is delish! Food may take a bit longer, but everything is made prepared to order! The customer service is just the way I remember! We were able to walk in both times we visited, but I do recommend making a reservation as they get very busy on the weekends during brunch. read more

Gotta talk about this little gem in Little Havana! I was desperately looking for a good place to try some good Cuban food! And, there was no better neighborhood than Little Havana! Of course, all the Google searches led us to Versailles first - a historic establishment known for good, classic Cuban food! But, the long wait had us looking for some another place without any compromise on food quality! Thank goodness, we found Doce and got reservation easily! Definitely lucky. We immediately drove to the restaurant. When we entered inside the restaurant, it seemed little too small - until we got to the patio seating! Well decorated, colorful, and spacious! The only thing we felt, and other diner's reactions as well seemed to say like, that they were understaffed! It took a while for server to come take our order - but we decided all our orders before hand and placed orders at once. Once placed, food started coming in quickly! Although, I did want to try their Cuban sandwich, but they only make limited orders of those and they were already out of those for that evening :/. Food was just amazing, and pretty reasonably priced. The croquettes were yum, pork buns were beyond delicious, shrimp tacos were mouth watering, and braised beef was super duper yum! I generally avoid Tres Leches, because restaurants generally make this classic dessert a little too rich. This place changed my mind about Tres Leches - so yumm!! What a great experience. I highly recommend sitting outside in their quant courtyard. I started with a Cuban beer before switching to a margarita. The guac was good, but needed a little salt. I really liked the tostones, but wanting - they're dense and can fill you up quickly. The avacado salad was my favorite of the night. I had to stop myself to save room for my entree. The sever suggested the mahi, but I was in the mood for steak. The churrasco was good, not great, but I'd be willing to order it again. This place is BOMB! I love the hipster vibe. Super cute outdoor eating area. It's not a large restaurant maybe ten small tables. Would recommend getting a reservation. I love Sebastian as a server literally the sweetest human he explained everything that was on the menu throughly and was so kind and got me and my dad move from outside to a covered part of the patio because he felt like it was gonna rain (It did end up raining ) !! This spot is one of my favorite restaurants in miami. We have been here several times over the years and the food has consistently been amazing and the service impeccable. Nearly everything on the menu is delectable and ridiculously flavorful. This time, we got the imperial rice, the buns (to die for), the Mahi (which I got again and is one of my favorite dishes here). Also good here is the chicken and waffles and the Cuban sandwich. I actually got the Cuban sandwich to go to have for dinner tonight! What an incredible experience! We went here for a birthday dinner and were very happy with our dinner. 1. FOOD 5/5 I can't begin to say enough about the food. First, the cocktails were well crafted and very refreshing. I got the Mojito which was light and minty. For appetizers. We split a few dishes including the croquettes, which were a crowd favorite. The lechon asado buns were also a hit. For my meal, I had Abuelas Ropa Vieja which was absolutely out of this world. Tender, flavorful, well seasoned. Delicious! Everyone else was very happy with their meals - the Masa de Puerco Chino was another hit. 2. AMBIANCE 5/5 Hidden behind the restaurant is the beautiful little patio which has a warm and lively atmosphere. It is beautifully decorated and provides a quiet moment away from the big city. We very much enjoyed the atmosphere! 3. SERVICE 3/5 This was my ONLY complaint about this place. We had a later reservation and were seated on the patio. A large party of multiple adults and many children were seated soon after. It did not appear that they had a reservation as the wait staff was trying last minute to slide tables around. There were multiple children running around the restaurant throughout the meal. We ordered our dinner before the large party, though ours came out after they had all eaten. While waiting for our entrees, someone came by and asked us if they could "get us anything else" and we had to let them know we were still waiting for our meals. By the time we had eaten, it was close to closing time and the wait staff gave us our check without offering coffee or dessert. This was disappointing because we were excited about the flan. They said they could no longer offer tres leches but did provide us some flan and coffee, which was excellent. Service was friendly but did miss the mark on certain elements. Went for lunch on extremely hot Saturday, we made reservations around four or five days ago and it turns out that since the restaurant so small we ended up sitting on the patio all alone, which is kind of good because if there's any more people they were just taking all the fans that were around because we definitely need them in Miami humidity. The server was very accommodating with us and help us out with a pic of what we wanted to eat. We went with chorizo croquetas, burrata toast, Vaca Frita Tostones, Arroz Imperial, & El Churrasco I went with the Birria Tacos also. Everything was a big portions for the price . Perfecto! We came in for a 12 hour layover, and Doce did not disappoint. We sat on the patio and the lighting and music is on point. We started with the goat cheese croquettes, which were phenomenal - I could have had two more orders and been done! We moved on to the Salmon A La Plancha for husband and Fresh Florida Mahi for me - both amazing. I might give a slight nod to the salmon, but the mahi was so delicious it's a tough call. At first glance I thought how compact this restaurant is until my girlfriend (who had been there before) asks the hostess to sit us outside. We go through the back door and I see a spacious outdoor patio surrounded by wall art and a charming landscape. Great first Impression! The menu is geared towards cuban tapas which is delightful because it allowed us to share and try different dishes. The food was delicious and light. The chorizo croquettes were crispy, the short rib was juicy, and the Little Bird Fried Chicken was definitely my favorite. A Little Havana gem! After hearing so many positive things about Doce for years, I finally visited for the first time recently. I went with my out-of-state cousin who wanted a local, trendy, delicious restaurant experience. After walking around Little Havana a bit with our party of 4, I remembered that Doce was nearby, and so we made our way there. Unassuming from the front entrance, Doce is truly a hidden gem. If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside; their backyard outdoor patio is gorgeous and such a surprise!! The menu: omg, so many options. I was salivating as I read the menu. Everything sounded spectacular. How could I possibly choose?! I eventually decided on the goat cheese croquetas to start (I had heard great things about them), and went for the masa de puerco chino (pork fried rice) for the main dish. For drinks, we all decided to order different lemonades (regular, passionfruit, and berry). The fresh-squeezed Cuban-style lemonades were served in cute mason jars and they were vibrant with color. Very insta-worthy. One sip and AH, so refreshing and so much flavor! I took a sip of them all -- they were all so good, definitely among the best lemonades I've ever had. The goat cheese croquetas -- absolutely no regrets. Perfectly crisp croquette balls with soft, creamy cheesy insides; the saltiness of which paired perfectly with the sweet guava marmalade. An excellent choice for appetizer! Now for the entree: absolutely the most spectacular fried rice I've ever had. This is not your average fried rice. The flavor was out of this world. Have you ever had fried rice with the most perfect chicharrones/masitas de puerco? Probably not, unless you've had the one from Doce. A true masterpiece. Delicious. Everyone else was raving about their plates as well. My fiance had the fresh florida mahi which he absolutely devoured, while my cousin had the birria de res quesatacos, and her boyfriend had the ropa vieja. Everyone really loved their dishes. A perfect way to kick off my Miami trip! I came to Doce Provisions with my bachelorette party to start off the weekend. We were easily able to make a reservation for their outdoor patio. From the outside the location doesn't look like much, but the patio was beautiful. The food was amazing! I had the bao tacos & guac. The bao tacos were definitely my favorite. The soft squishy buns with the salty pork combo was excellent. I could have ate like 5 of these. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of here was the cocktails all being wine based. I would have loved to see more hard alcohol options or recommended shots. Overall it was still a good time and all of my guests enjoyed it. Our servers were also very friendly and accommodating. Maybe we came on an off night...food highlight was the goat cheese croquette. Goodness that was good. The mahi mahi was okay, it was drowned in sauce, I'd have liked way less sauce, and possibly more acid. The tostones were good but cold. But the main issue was the service, it took a very long time to get our food! I remember our entrees came over an hour from ordering! Upon rnter in the location You see that it's a tight space to get in but when you go to the back you see this nice beautiful outdoor area. It's so beautiful and tucked way it makes you fell like you stepped into a whole new area. You don't even feel in little Havana any more. The staff is so nice and create a vibrant experience that matches the colorful menu and decor. We had a couple bucket drinks to start off the experience, they were delicious!! I walked in, no one greeted me, I had to walk up to the counter by the kitchen to get someone's attention. When I did, the young lady (politely) said they're booked, can't go in the back, no table. I asked if I could at least go see the back as I wanted to also hear music, saw it online and wanted to just look. She said reservations only. Sat me a table inside, 10 minutes or so, someone finaly came, ordered a beer, told him, I'd order food in a little while, 30 minutes went by, didn't come back, finally got someones attention to get me another beer, figured I'd kill time until my waiter returns, another 20 minute goes by, no waiter, finished my beer, said fuck it, leaving, walked over to cashier by kitchen, boom, waiter shows up to ring me out. This used to be our favorite spot. Sadly, I've noticed that the quality of the food has deteriorated quite a bit. Or maybe it was an "off" night? A couple weeks ago We had a friend of ours in town, whos a CHEF, and asked that we take him out for good food in little havana. The goat cheese croquestas were cold. Steak was chewy. The avocado salad appetizer was confusing (it was not an avocado salad, its just a regular green salad with avocado on top). I ordered the chicken and waffles (which are always spot on) but the chicken was stale, dry and hard to cut through/chew and the waffles were a soggy mess. The pork buns were the best thing that came out to the table and the courtyard ambians is always perfect! I know every restaurant can have an bad night but I'm not sure that I'll be back any time soon. I was a little embarrassed that we brough our chef friend here. Overall the food was good as well as the drinks although I was more impressed by the appetizers. I recommend the chicken and waffles from the main course. This is a hole in the wall that when entered leads to an inner courtyard garden -- a metaphor for the hidden goodness within. The menu features some Cuban classics and some fresh twists, and these folks value attention to detail. We came after a Marlins game and sort of stumbled on the place -- to our good fortune. So, there are lots of Cuban food experts in this town. I don't pretend to be one, but did notice the freshness and the vibrancy of the flavors. Doce says their ingredients are locally-sourced, and I believe them. The fish tacos left you wanting more -- a nice blend of spices and texture. The arroz imperial was more than just cheesy rice, it had style. But the highlight was "Abuela's Flan." If you're going to open a place in Little Havana and invoke your grandmother, you best get it right. And they did. I'm not all that partial to flan, but this was the among the best I've ever tasted. Can't wait to come back. The service was friendly and professional -- the staff was put to the test because an evening thunderstorm came out of nowhere to drench folks in the patio. I loved everything about my visit to Doce Provisions. Food: we got the lechon asada bun and the shrimp mac and cheese. Both were so flavorful and delicious. My mac and cheese was scorching hot (temperature not spice) and I kept burning my mouth trying to eat it so fast because it was so good. Doce gets an A+ for presentation as well. The attention to detail in having the food look at good as it tasted was noticed. They give you water in little mason jars with handles which was also adorable. Vibe: It was raining on the day I went so I couldnt sit in the outdoor patio. The inside was cute and small. With social distancing there are not many tables but hurry in and grab one, its worth it.
