The key is finding a place that will launder your clothes and charge by the kilogram. Sometimes your hotel will do this, sometimes not. In Langkawi, our resort wanted to charge by the item, so something like 8 ringit per shirt, 12 ringit for pants, etc. A week's worth of clothes adds up, so I'm not having that. Bubble White is a little stall off the traffic circle. The guy there spoke English and directed me to what I assume was the foreigner rate of 8 ringit per kilogram for express service. Our week's worth of laundry came out to about 3.5 kilograms, I paid 30 ringit (about $7.50 US) and it was ready in three hours! It came back folded nicely and smelling wonderful.
