Upon making the appointment and when arriving for the appointment, no one shared that it would take 3 weeks from the date of the appointment to receive the image included in the package -- long time for a simple picture but ok. After calling almost a week later, I learned this information. At my appointment, the hair dresser was a nice, welcoming and understood the haircut style but it turned out to be shorter than just a trim which is what I asked for. But it's okay, hair grows back and my son's hair needed a cut -- no big deal. I like that kids are entertained with TV/cartoons playing at each chair. This worked out for my son and he behaved the entire time.

She's recently moved her business from Texas and is building her clientele here in the area. Her work is fantastic and she's so easy to work with. She mostly works weekends due to her family's schedule. Her studio is located in her home in Concord and it's very comfortable! It's perfectly set up for newborn and baby shoots. She has a very comfortable chair for feeding and a changing table set up. She keeps the room warm for a comfortable and happy baby as well. The room is spacious and allows her to have her props and backdrops set up and ready for easy transitions between shots. She is very warm, welcoming, gentle and nurturing. Plus, for parents, she's very easy to chat with as well. She will make you and your family feel incredibly comfortable during the process and we really loved getting to know her as well. She really loves babies and in shows in demeanor and the quality of her work. We felt very comfortable with her working with our baby, even though, as new parents, we're still even a bit nervous handling him. She is very patient too. Our baby arrived "ready" but once we got him changed out of his clothes, he was fussy (he hates being without his clothes on). Mariana said it's totally normal and encouraged us to take our time. She chatted with us while he fed him twice and changed him until he was fully zonked out. These sessions only really work when the baby is in a deep sleep which took our son nearly an hour from when we arrived to reach his peaceful sleep. Mariana was really understanding and encouraging and she's built this allotted time into her sessions. Her newborn shoots usually take 3-4 hours she says. Once he was asleep, the process for the photoshoot was about an hour to an hour and half. We really enjoyed our experience with Mariana and highly recommend her for your next photoshoot! In addition to newborn shoots, she does family portraits as well including outdoor shoots. We're still feeling like zombies, so we weren't ready for a family shoot, but we'd love to work with Mariana again for a gorgeous photoshoot with us and our baby. And most importantly, her photos came out wonderfully and her prices are very reasonable. At this time, she also gives a discount for returning clients too. We look forward to working with her again for future sessions!
