Never go to MTW in Russell. Provided by YP.com Posted by…read morealmostkilled on 07/13/2011 Never go to MTW in Russell.... Had struts put on front for 714.00 and sent me home to come back the next day to re-adjust them..On the way home I stopped and call MTW and said the car was making an awful noise..John the manager said that it would make noise and that it was safe.. Proceeded home the last 2 miles and parked.. Got up the next morning to take back and 100 feet out of my drive on the main road the car popped and jerked into on comming traffic.Truck was able to stop before hitting me...The wheel blew and the axle popped out with the rim and all... Wrecked my car.. I call police and 911 for assistance..I also called MTW and the manager said bring it back in.I said how would you suggest I do that with 3 tires on the car..I told him he had better call a tow to get my car and get it fixed..He did so..THe mechanic shawn started crying like a baby and said it was his fault he forgot to put a knuckle bolt in as if I know what that was but that was what the tow truck and the police officer said as well.. He kept crying and saying he was going to get fired once the owner found out..The manager John said that he would fix everything back and that he felt so bad that he would put back struts on for free and once all that was done to take it to a body shop to get the bdy repaired and fixed...Once the car was redone I had to take back 7 times to get it fixed and get my replacemnet rim and they never did complete the work .John kept saying bring it back in ..He accused me of taking advantage of him when I said I would like to talk to the owner..I said how the hell am I taking advantage of MTW when all I am asking is they fix my car. I was standing out back and the manager and the mechanic sid that I was a f**king Bi**h and what the hell did I want after all no one got hurt.. Please ! I ended up taking to Ed's auto on route 5 and they fixed it.They did not have the brakes back on correct and did not bolt down the free rear strut on the driver side rear..Imagine that!! Also did not replace the rotor guard and the transmission seal was broken..A clicking noise is still comming from the front right strut as well as a loud chirping noise.. It is also out of alignment in which MTW said they had a 76 thousand dollar machine and I was crazy.. I took it to a shop and they aligned it proper and it was off in the rear tire position and the right side. I called MTW before I took it to ED's Auto and the manager John refused to let me talk to the owner once again and said he was not going to pay for the damage and just deal with the noise.. I said you will deal with the stop creditcard payment and the suit that will follow..I have gotten 2 body shop estimates and both are in the 900.00 range and the repairs for the work MTW did that Eds' Auto had to fix comes to 600.00 not to mention the foul mouth the MTW manager and mechanic has.. Is this how you wish to be treated. Please go there if so...

I came to get my Toyota serviced needed new brakes and rotors I sought nearby shops in the area and…read morethey all said the same thing that my front brakes needed some work done and with Firestone they were honest worked on my vehicle with integrity were transparent with me and were willing to work with me to get the best deal. The employees who assisted me were Nathan Tharpe and Antony Mcdonagh. Both were excellent and did an amazing job although they were short staff they did everything they could to get myself and other customers out in a reasonable time while doing an amazing job. After the service my Toyota ran and braked better with no issues. After seeing some of the other reviews on here I'd sum it up to a misunderstanding and to give Firestone in Ashland your time and business. Especially if you're anything like me where you're only available Saturday and Sunday most local shops are closed on the weekends. Great value, excellent customer service and good quality.

This story is a prime example of why I don't trust corporate car places. Read this through and…read moreyou'll feel the same way. I left my car there and took my grandpa out to lunch in his car. The team seemed really nice and professional, I even signed up for the credit card (which I'll probably now cancel.) I get a call and they tell me that they can't get the car started, so I ask if they tried moving the wheel or troubleshooting at all, which they say they didn't. They say they will try a few things and call back if there is any issues. They call me back ten minutes later and say that three techs had tried starting the car and that it's not turning, to which I concernedly said "I don't know then, I'll be back in thirty to evaluate what's wrong." I get there, get the keys, they tell me that it's futile unless I have "magic hands," so I go out, put the key in, turn the key and it starts instantly without any problems at all. No need to move the wheel, take it in and out of park or anything. I go in and honestly ask "should I leave this with y'all because it started instantly without any problems and this is a bit concerning?" The British gent in there who I was having great conversation with earlier started getting mad and said "well you can take it somewhere else" and kept saying that I'm an aggravated tone, so I left and took my car to Charlie's Tires over in Ironton. I paid $34 more and at least they can start the car and was treated with respect. Horrible experience. Can't believe the rudeness, especially over their own teams incompetence. Never going back and will propagate this story to everyone I know who needs tires.
