In 2009, I took two of my deceased father's leather coats to DJ's to inquire if Terry could/would make purses for me from the coats. Indeed he did. At that time he did an outstanding job on both of them and even used the pockets from both coats as well as the buttons from the coats. Terry did an amazing job making these purses for me. Melissa was instrumental in the length of the shoulder straps of the purses as well as the zippers. Terry also made a purse from a fur trimmed suede cape that was a gift to me from my parents. This too was outstanding craftsmanship, even using the fur trim as the shoulder strap as well as using the pockets. February, 2021, he made me yet another purse from my mother's black leather coat. Once again, he did an amazing job. It's so heart warming to have these purses made from personal items of my parents. I will be forever grateful to Terry and Melissa for making these purses for me. The time Terry invested in making the purses and the intricate detail of incorporating the buttons, the pockets, the trim and even the labels of the coats is just amazing. In my opinion, DJ's is the best. None better. They have overwhelmed me with each "job" I have presented to them. The personal touch to the work is fabulous. read more

What a miserable attitude the lady up front has. I called to get a quote for a side bolster on a 2004 Mach 1 Mustang. I was told , but the same lady, to bring the seat in to get the quote. I felt like she could've told me over the phone. I took the seat out and brought it there. Before she ever saw it she told me that leather was around $4 a square inch. Then she took a quick look and said around $400 due to the cost of leather. I told her that I was debating on getting a factory replica interior from another source and that it was about $1200 for the front seats and $1700 for the whole interior. She went on in an insulting voice an a said sarcastically "It won't look like factory". I said it would be fine and she said "I've been doing this for 30 years and I'm telling you it won't look right". I replied "I've been doing this longer. Overpriced and RUDE!!! read more

Beware!!!!!!!! First, my review is not on the quality of work done. Everything Terry and presumably their son Tyler have done has been top notch. But..... my experience dealing with Melissa in the front office has been the least professional, least concerned about the customer, least transparent, most frustrating interaction I've ever had. Here is how it has gone. I picked out carpet and a headliner option with the help of Terry, was quoted a price for it, and gave them a deposit. Lovely. Then, I get a call saying the carpet I picked out is only for vettes and it can't be molded for my Jeep with a heel pad. I'll have to use the OEM carpet (which was not the same as what's in my Jeep and wouldn't match the carpet on the seat). I intentionally didn't pick that when I looked at the samples because I hated it. The rest of the conversation went like this. Me - ok, well, no big deal. Just refund my deposit on the carpet and we'll do the headliner. Melissa - says on the sign deposits are non refundable. (Which is located on the wall to the left and I was never directed to read it) Me - you sold me something that can't be installed in my car. Melissa - deposits are non refundable. We can do the oem carpet though. Me - I hate the fluffy carpet. That's why I didn't pick it. It's your job to sell me what works for my car. That's literally your job. Melissa - well, we can mold the carpet you picked to your car but it won't have the heel pad. Me - why are you just now telling me this? But I'd like the heel pad. Again, these are things you should tell me BEFORE I give you a deposit or refund my deposit if you can't deliver what I bought. Melissa - sir, it says on the sign deposits are non-refundable. Face palm. The laziness was palpable. Terry had to step in apparently and call the carpet company and eventually informed me that the company would mold it with the heel pad. Great. But this was after me having to get incredibly frustrated and angry with Melissa and raise my voice in order for them to find a solution. So I came back in to confirm the headliner color and carpet to be 100% sure what I was getting. Terry asks if I'd like the visors done as well. They'd just have to do away with the mirror. I say sure and think nothing more of it. Today I take my Jeep in to get the headliner installed and come back in to pick it up. Low and behold she charges me an extra $50 for the visors. This was never discussed as an extra charge. I have no issue paying for something that's discussed upfront, like guacamole at Chipotle. She says it was and spouts something about how her son heard her say it that day when I came in. Lie. So i get very upset and throw in a few choice cuss words and tell her that it's her literal job to tell me what things are going to cost BEFORE the job is started. This is a terrible way to run a business. She says, "you're gonna pay it if you want your Jeep back." I say, I will literally tell everyone I know about this interaction and write a long terrible review warning people to stay away from your business. She says, "I don't care. We're tired of messing with you. We deal with millionaires and none of them have complained." Wow. I go in to get the carpet installed on the 24th, and who knows what else they forgot to tell me about. So yeah. Beware. I'm not easily worked up, but THIS level of ignorance and disrespect for a customer is mind blowing. Thank you Terry and son for your great work, but please find a different front office manager who knows how to sell product and give accurate, clear estimates; or learn to bend your deposit policy when it's your screwup. read more
