Playground: The playground is pretty good. Up to three levels of jungle gym, with multiple slides, climbing platforms, some nerf-type ball shooters, a projection floor, foam obstacles etc. The tables can be hard to come by on a day when school is out, so get there early. Kids are supposed to remove their shoes and keep socks on. I highly recommend you keep shoes with your stuff and not leave them in the common area as too many kids are in the shoe area unattended. The 3 and under toddler area is nice, employees only assist that area, when asked though. So be sure to point out any older children that need removed, and they will politely accommodate that. Food: They have an extensive menu for a playground. The pizza tastes very similar to freschetta brand pizza. Like you would buy with groceries on your frozen aisle, with a couple fresh toppings thrown on top. It's good, not spectacular, but not terrible either. The salads are pretty big. They do a decent job with Bagel sandwiches, a barista stand etc. The jalapeño cream cheese stuffed bagels are as yummy as they are in disneyland. Staff: Most of the staff is young and nice. They offer Popsicles to crying little ones and will chase down the naked footed bandit. They give out complimentary diapers and wipes if asked, and stickers or tattoos as kids leave. Overall it's well organized. I've been on a night when they did a dark event and handed every kid a free foam light up stick. Awesome bonus! It's $5-$10 per kid. Cheaper if you buy the punch card, which also gives you a food discount. Always a birthday party going on in the party room. Fun place for kids (and adults) to run around and get their energy out. My 8-year-old enjoys this just as much now as she did when she was 3. At $15 it's a little pricey... but that doesn't bother me as much as their complete lack of mask enforcement. Today was my first visit since COVID and they were not enforcing masks AT ALL. I understand that kids sometimes let theirs skip down or maybe forget to put them back on after eating, but a true majority of kids were not wearing masks properly (under their nose or more often under their chin) or at all. It would be nice if they had someone reminding them (or at least signs or a reminder on the way in from staff)? I also saw them let kids (definitely over 5, but not old enough to be vaccinated) into the playground without any masks at all without a word said. I want to support this business but as an ER worker who's seen too much COVID, I will not be allowing my kids back until Dizzy Castle starts enforcing state masks laws. read more

First, the place is dirty( like never cleaned dirty) second, The parents are almost always on their phones and cuss at other children, and third, literally almost all of the staff are on their phones or not doing their job. I like this play area as much as I like the one in downtown Portland. It's a little bit bigger and has a larger space for toddlers. It's not as easy to watch the exits to the big play structure though if you have smaller kids. The café here seems pretty good but maybe isn't as good as Pdx. The structure seems awesome though. They offer some cool features that they don't have at Portland's competitor. There is a cool dance room that is interactive. There's more structure space and a lot of levels here. It seems like it caters to a wide age group. The toddler section is completely enclosed and offers more options for play to a younger group. The place was very crowded. There were tables everywhere and parents seemed determined to stake their claim. All in all everybody had a wonderful time and it was a good experience. If you live in Vancouver I would definitely take you children here. read more

Damn...here I am, in a place with a lot of tunnels and stairs and kids...We were here for my wife's cousins kids birthday party, Actually two kids...They rented a room for about two hours. The service person that helped us was actually pretty good. He was on top of things and was very friendly. The food wasn't bad at all. I thought it would be bad but to my surprise it wasn't bad at all. My daughter forced me to follow her around, I get it that she want's to play with her dad and all that but isn't playing at home enough girl? Sheesh now your forcing me to go through little holes and tunnels...my knees felt bad and my back I felt like was going to blow out...but I survived. I see my kid jump up and land on her knees...If I did that I probably be writing about my new knees I just got replaced. The major problem about this place is that it's a little dusty at the top of the structure. Yes kids will not play up there but it is pretty dusty up there and there are balls that are stuck there. Also I think there are some kids that really don't belong there...if your 13 years old, you might want to think about whether you want to be there...unless you have a kid yourself, which is cool. I did see kids play on a swing next to a slide...the cover that covers the padding was tearing apart and the kids that were jumping on to it finally succeeded in doing so, however the staff didn't do anything from stopping it or repairing it...maybe there were too many kids? read more

I haven't been here in about two years, since the teenagers managing the cafe got snarky with me. Today my 4 year old and I are giving the Dizzy Castle another shot. The young man at check in was fantastic and knew just how to engage my guarded son. They have some fun Halloween decorations up which adds some interest to the aging play structure. My son is having a great time and I'm glad we came. Now to list the not so good issues I have with this place. Overall the crawling and climbing surfaces are clean. After many a trip to filthy McDonald's Playland, it is comforting to not feel like my son just crawled through some colorful sewer pipes. When I noticed all the balls for the air gun are mostly lodged on top of every net and covered in a layer of ancient dust, I was grossed out. All the tubes have dust on top...the haunted house hasn't been cleaned in 80 years kind of dust. Maybe it's just the seasonal spirit?! But the main reason I can't give more than a mediocre 3 star rating is because almost ALL the air gun balls have not been retrieved or replaced and several air guns are taped up and out of order. As I recall it was about 4$ cheaper to enter 2 years ago. So go buy some BALLS! I don't like paying a lot more for a decline in offerings. So in conclusion: BALLS BALLS BALLS. read more

We were regular customers.... UNTIL TODAY. So it's my son's 7th Birthday and we decided it would be fun for him to have 3 of his friends meet us at Dizzy Castle and celebrate his birthday. We didn't bother with a cake or anything, the plan was to keep it simple with a small gift exchange and to let the kids run around for a few hours. Upon our arrival we recognized that the place was busy! There was no parking in the lot so we were forced to park out on the street. We walked inside and I told them we would be paying for 4 kids. One of the 3 women behind the counter looked at my fiance who was carrying a gift and asked if we had a birthday reservation. I told her no, that we weren't really having a party, just had a couple of gifts. She then advised me that we COULD NOT EXCHANGE GIFTS unless we paid $195 to rent a birthday room. I told her I only had 4 kids and that I was not going to spend nearly Two Hundred bucks for 4 kids to run around for a little while. In an rude and unfriendly manner she informed me that we would not be welcome to bring the gifts inside. I was astonished! "So you mean to tell me that my son has to open his gifts out on the street in the rain unless I give you $195?" , I asked. She stuck to her guns and would not allow the gifts inside. As much as I would have loved to just leave and not give this place another dime, the kids and parents were already there and it would not have been cool to try to get everyone moved somewhere else. We put the gifts back in the car and I paid the regular fee ($40+ dollars) to get everyone in. Once inside we noticed that there was NOWHERE to sit!! Most of the tables were occupied, and the ones that were empty had not been cleaned and were cluttered with half filled plates and cups. So the kids went to play and the adults were forced to lean up against the wall near the cash register in anticipation of a clean table. At this time we noticed the young female at the front counter telling the other counter employees about my dissatisfaction with their gift policy. They all turned around at once and glared at me which made it obvious they were speaking negatively. My fiance even heard them gossiping about me with a rotten attitude. There were employees standing around the registers doing nothing, but nobody bothered to clean a table or offer anyone a chair. When a bench did open up we were squished against the wall with no room for our legs. The customer service here was absolutely unacceptable. I understand that management may have imposed ridiculous policies, however the young ladies should not have handled it with such rotten attitudes. If you're going to have a policy like this it SHOULD BE POSTED!!!!!! I have NEVER been to an establishment that I am paying to be in that will not allow a child to open a few gifts on his birthday. While inside I informed several other parents of their gift policy. Everyone was astonished! I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT DIZZY CASTLE and I will continue to spread the word of the awful service and ludicrous gift policy. They lost at least 4 customers today (my group) and several others who I informed expressed their distaste and intent to find another place to take their kids. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars. My heart wants to, but my head tells me no. I've been here twice with my kids. They love it. But I pay. Here's my bottom line: 2 kids to play: $21.67 1 Sandwich and 1 wrap and 1 latte: $19.00 Um, that's over $40 for two kids to run around a playground while I get WiFi. Really? I'm so mad at myself. Why didn't I learn the first time? But it's not all bad: 1. The staff are pretty good. They are all women, save for the kitchen guys. Don't know if it matters, but it's an observation. 2. The food is pretty good...you don't have to suffer through microwave pretzels like other places. 3. Free WiFi...even better, loaner free iPads. 4. The baristas are pretty good at making the coffee. 5. The main play area is awesome. The cannon area is best around and you generally feel like your kids are safe and you can relax. But mostly, I left both times pretty upset: 1. So expensive. They make Regal Theaters look like a Make-a-Wish franchise. 2. The food is very pricey...sure, it's not garbage hotdogs, but you can get wraps at good at Wendy's these days, pay less, and still get the same plastic fork. Here's a tip: it looks weird on the fancy square plates. I can't even stab the food with the flimsy fork you give me to go with the expensive plates and bowls. 3. The toddler area sucks. Read other reviews here. It really does. 4. There are only a couple of couches and easy chairs. People practically fight over them.Get rid of about 1/3 of the tables/chairs that seem so cold and uncomfortable and you'll get people to stay longer with better seating...nay, lounging...which means more food and beverages sold. Translation: profit margin = killin' it! I can't say enough about Dizzy Castle! We drive from Sandy, OR to play here and it's well worth the drive and the cost...which I know is a tad high. We have been to both Dizzy and Playdates PDX and Dizzy Castle wins by a landslide! The great~ the baby/toddler area is amazing! It's basically a huge corral that little ones can't escape from. There are lots of age appropriate toys and small slides as well as room for parents to sit. If it gets too crowed they have couch directly on the other side to sit on as well....and still keep an eye on your little one. I love how the tables are so close to the play structure...Unlike playdates PDX. As a parent I want to basically know where my little guy is at all times and I want it easy for him to find me, so having the tables close makes it easy for my little guy to run over for a sip from his dinosaur sports drink (which they sell and my son is obsessed with!) The parking is amazing! again unlike Playdates PDX The food is amazing too.....the kids meals seem priced a bit high, but you get this really cool pirate ship that the meal comes in. You can take it home and my son had fun playing with it for days. The adult food is very tasty.....today I got the pepperoni pizza and it was great! The soda is also self serve and free refills. The bathroom are pretty much awesome....they provide a changing table, diapers and wipes...for FREE! They also have free Wifi and free Ipads you can check out...I haven't used either, but maybe when my son is older. The staff is super nice and they always hold my purse up front so I don't have to worry about leaving it at a table.....which by the way....the tables are really cool....not sure what is in them, but they glow and have liquid that moves around in the top. The not quite as great~ There are a couple of sections of the play structure that seem very dangerous. There are 2 openings that are super small (you need to be a smaller adult to fit though) and have kind of a blind spot areas where the child climbing through this small opening are coming out under an area that kids jump down on from a higher area. You have to see it to know what I am describing, but I whiteness some really close calls and one where are larger kid landed on a toddler head. I brought it up with management and she said she noticed the areas and thought the same thing, but the company that builds the structures said that's how they build them...hmmmm. Then the door to leave is really easy to leave from....meaning little ones can escape. Not sure if they can instead have you go in and out through the gated section, but that would be wonderful....but maybe that's a fire hazard?! Other then the 2 negatives, Dizzy Castle is awesome and amazing. We go any chance we get!! read more

The air canons were a blast - had a nice little shoot out with a fellow dad. No 5 stars yet. Might be kind of picky here - but some of the play structures are already accumulating a lot of dust. Took my 4yr old grandson there for the first time. He had a blast however they advertise that adults can play along but some spots are only large enough for a kid to squeeze through. The food and drinks we got were good. Not sure we would go again though because of the lack of cleanliness. There was a used bandaid at the bottom of the slide, dusty lint balls ALL over, and the bathrooms were dirty (especially the mens room with pee on the floor and boys getting right back out on the play area after having their socks contaminated with it). We were there for two hours and I didn't see any workers cleaning the bathrooms or play areas even once. The tops of the play structure was covered with what appeared to be at least months of not being cleaned. Seeing all that made me want to grab a vacuum cleaner and start working because it was so obviously dirty! Honestly how much effort would it take a worker to sweep up the big dust bunnies out of the corners at least instead of aimlessly walking around like they didn't have anything to do. Amazingly friendly staff, great menu choices (vegan, and gluten free options!), so incredibly fun! Parents/Adults are FREE! $5 for kids under three, $10 for over three (wish there was a small step between the two, but FOR SURE worth the money!) AND -- you can come & go all day! Seems too good to be true, but they also have complimentary diapers/wipes and -- get this -- iPads (!!) if your kiddo needs a break from all the activity. We've only been a few times with our 2 year old, but he LOVES it! Now when we ask if he wants to go to Dizzy Castle, he gets super excited. The toddler area is pretty small, but I personally appreciate that, because I can keep a closer eye on him. There's still plenty of room to play and a cute set of slides which he loves to climb all over! Can't beat the $5 price tag for the little ones, either. The reviewers saying their kids get sick: that's a really weird thing to complain about in an indoor playspace. You do know kids get sick when they play with other kids, yeah? I mean kids are kinda gross, let's be real. My tactic is to never take my son anywhere like this when I think he might be catching a bug (especially if he's recently been around someone who was sick, like if I had a cold that he somehow didn't catch), to wash our hands before we go in, and to wash them again on our way out. The staff here are AMAZING at dealing with conflict. My daughter was being harassed by some boys and the staff & manager all responded swiftly with the utmost sensitivity to the situation. We left earlier than we planned but will definitely be back soon. They even gave us free passes for our next visit. The facilities are clean & well kept, the menu has something for everyone & both of my kids are exhausted & will sleep well tonight. VICTORY! This is perfect for my 2-1 year old kids! There aren't big kids running over my kids! I love that they have a toddler area for 3 and younger. Although there were a couple of kids who were definitely not 3 and younger my kids were able to navigate around them. Updated review: Love love this place! My 2 year old and 1 year old enjoys this place! I love to bring them here as well when we are in town. This place is a lot better than the indoor playgrounds in the Gresham/Portland area. We are huge fans of Dizzy Castles. We live in the Clackamas area and we travel over every once-in-awhile as my 3 & 6 LOVE to play here. I don't mind the drive as the place is clean, kid-friendly, has a thoughtful set-up and well managed. The food & beverages are a little high - but it's nice to have the option if you or your kiddos get hungry, thirsty or both. The admission prices are higher, too - but the facility is very nice and it's worth it! We spent 3 hours there today. My kids were both sweaty AND extremely tired from playing when we got done and there isn't a parent on this planet that doesn't appreciate THAT!!! read more

the first time I went here was for a kiddos birthday party. I have to say, the food here is really good, a bit pricey, but not what you would expect from a kids zone place. the birthday boys parents rented out one of the rooms for a couple of hours, it was really nice, even the dragon came out to make an appearance at the party. there are table n chair scattered throughout the seating area, so you can somewhat see your child, they even have a toddler zone. parking can a bit tricky if you come at a busy time, there is a lower level parking lot down the street aways, overall I would come here again. read more

The toddler area was very disappointing. I'm not sure what the prior reviewer's idea of "huge" is, but this is definitely not "huge." There are really only two things in there, a boat to climb on (the steering wheel was so stiff I couldn't turn it, let alone my toddler), and a slide. The boat has an empty space on it that could've made a nice toddler-size ball pit, but it is kept empty instead. The staff does not enforce the three and under rule. Multiple times during our visit, bigger kids would come in and take over. They would push the smaller kids out of the way, take away balls, etc. I had to complain multiple times before this was addressed by the staff. There were no parents in sight. There was also a foam "teeter totter" but it didn't balance at all and my twins kept tipping over sideways, even with us helping them. read more

My kids loved this place! It was our first time going. Pretty crowed, but it was a Saturday so we expected that. Overall decent experience. Front desk kid didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. After about 10 minutes of waiting in line someone came and helped him and then it went quickly. Staff was courteous, but not friendly or smiley. Kids were climbing on all sorts of stuff they shouldn't be but no one was stopping them. Yikes! I didn't see any kids actually fall off or get hurt, but that was mostly due to parents popping up. Definitely made my kids come home and shower after seeing the hundreds of kids going through everything and not trusting that it gets cleaned, BUT at least they came home exhausted! :) We'll probably go back at some point but at $10 per kid with 3 kids, it won't be soon. read more

The majority of my experience here is actually just for the food from the cafe. My office is across the street and we often order lunches from here to eat during a meeting or training event. They have a GF menu, with plenty of options in addition to their standard menu fare. The people here have all enjoyed everything they have ever ordered, from the wings to salads, and wraps. The homemade chips are pretty yummy, too. My oldest daughter (20 now) has taken my nephew here a few times, as well as her little sister. She claims the place is plenty of fun, and she sees employees walking through to verify everyone is playing safely on occasion. She could not think of a single complaint, so I will go with that. But even if you dont have kids... drop by and get a to-go order from the cafe. It really is pretty tasty. read more

My daughter loves it here and it's a great place to take her on a weeknight to run around to get some exercise. It's important for me to see her get some exercise after school, so I'm glad this place exists for me to take her to on weeknights where there isn't anywhere else to go for her to do this; especially in the winter when it's dark early and raining out. The front desk staff has always been upbeat and friendly. I've never had an interaction with an unhappy, stressed, or disgruntled employee, which keeps me coming back. I think the food is a little overpriced, but they gotta make their money somehow, right? I enjoy their food, but it's simple and plain; at least what my daughter and I order and like. We attended a birthday party here and it went off well. They had a dedicated room attendant who was always available to assist with anything the hosts needed. I've been here 3x now.. 1st time for a bday party, and then we came back twice to let my daughter go nuts! LoL it's a great place to let your kids just release some pent up energy!!!!! What I also LOVE is that you can order food, snacks, sweets, coffee, refillable soft drinks, fries that taste like McD fries (I had to mention that) and they bring it out to you! Awesome! I like that I can order stuff and then immediately go back to my table/seat and supervise my child! This last time I went I found it amusing that the bathroom has a tissue dispenser right by the door and a trash... it's so you can use a tissue to grab the door handle and avoid "germs".. hahahah because you know these kids are not all washing their hands very well or at all when they are in a rush to get back out to play. Kinda funny since I usually just use the paper towels I dried my hands with to open the door and toss as I walk out but hey- it's an extra touch! NICE. I haven't seen any real injuries except the occasional head bump, face bump - which has resulted in a nose bleed but all in all everything is padded pretty well and they seem to all have a blast. Our family went here today and though the inside offers quite a bit of fun for the kids I have to give it a 1 star because they lack important safety rules to keep the children there safe. While we were there someone let a homeless man in to use the men's restroom. No one working there did anything about it. My mother went in and told him he needed to leave and escorted him out of the building. I do not feel safe taking my children to play here without proper safety rules in place. For a children's play area they should have only paying customers allowed in. Chuck E. Cheese makes everyone who goes in have their hand stamped and no one is allowed in unless they are accompanied by a child or with a specific party. There was no manager on the premises to discuss the situation, only teenagers who seemed to feel uncomfortable dealing with the situation. No adults get their hands stamped just the kids so how are you supposed to know if the adults in there are with children or not. They also didn't have anyone working there supervising the play area. The play area is very creative and fun. My boys enjoyed their time. The food was ok, but unless some new safety rules are put into place and some changes are made we won't be returning. read more
