At the shop, I asked whether the second döner actually contained "extra meat," because visually it didn't look like it at all. I was clearly and explicitly assured that it did, so I had to rely on that.
Since I still had doubts, I weighed both döner at home:
regular: 494 g
"jumbo + extra meat": 556 g
That's only about a 12% increase in total weight (62 g) -- including bread, sauce, and all other ingredients. The actual amount of extra meat is therefore likely significantly less.
On top of that, the döner weren't labeled, so I can't even be sure whether the heavier one was actually the "jumbo."
I would appreciate a brief clarification:
How many grams of "extra meat" are normally added?
What exactly differentiates a "jumbo döner" from a regular one, besides the price?
The taste is good, no question.
But for me, this is mainly about trust, transparency, and honesty.
If I'm clearly told on-site that there is extra meat, then I expect to see it -- not have to go home and look for it on a scale.
After this experience, I unfortunately have my doubts.
