Against my better judgement I recently decided to give them a second chance, only to be disappointed yet again. Although the delivery was prompt this time, they messed up on the order. An honest mistake on their behalf I thought, but when I phoned up they insisted I had made the mistake which is not true. The woman on the phone was polite enough, but the person she was talking to in the background was extremely rude with a poor attitude. Their solution was to send out the correct order, but expected me to pay the price difference for a mistake that they had made. I told them not to bother and that I wouldn't be using their service again. At least the food was hot this time, but the food was extremely greasy and tasteless - just like last time. I would not recommend the Hung Fong and shall not be using them again.

When we…read morewent through the door of this restaurant, the atmosphere, staff & most of all the owner were most inviting. Most of all the cleanliness.'s (I am very concerned about hygiene & cleanliness) I had battered mushroom starter, amazed at the taste & freshness, the fish & chips were the best I had eaten out for a long time. The quality of food definitely outdo the price. Now, I am not worried where I will dine when I am up again in Doncaster . I recommend this gem of a fish & chips restaurant to everyone looking for decent place to eat fresh food.

Its beautiful quality food and from the minute you walk in you are treated with respect by all of the staff. There is a few small tables for small groups to eat in and there is a fresh salad bar on the counter where you are handed a good sized tub to fill with whatever fresh salad you fancy. The portion size of the food is generous especially the chips! It is fairly priced and I have never felt let down by Abduls as a company. Without airing my laundry, me and my partner had a homeless spell before christmas and we were cold, it was throwing it down with rain outside and we needed the toilet and food. We went in and the staff could see we were distressed, they allowed us to use the toilet and gave us 2 portions of chips and told us to pay them back when we were no longer homeless. The minute we were housed we paid them back of course but this shows the level of hospitality is available from this establishment. Amazing place to go!

Considering the fact that this place calls itself a cafe despite clearly being nothing of the sort,…read morethe claim it makes to being '1st choice for Indian and Italian takeaway' almost asks to be taken with a pinch of salt. It's a good job too, as this curry/pizza/kebab joint is mediocre at best. The surroundings are dingy and a little grubby, while the staff are surly and occasionally intimidating; all of this would be excusable as par for the course in a takeaway if the food was passable, but the vegetable korma I had from here recently was bland and chewy with far too few vegetables, and I have heard similar comments from friends who have eaten here. With so much choice in Armley and many companies elsewhere in Leeds that deliver to this area for free, there's not really much need to eat here unless you're passing and about to drop dead with hunger. On the plus side it's cheap, even by takeaway standards, although this fully reflects the quality of the experience.
Gadding about the Corn Exchange the other week I saw that there'd been some changes in the takeaway…read morelineup. Gone was the lunch-ish "quality" pizza place next to Blue Rinse and up had sprung the slightly greasier, not-quite-smutty-sounding Munch Box. Old one shuts, new one opens, but was there much rejoicing? First of all, I am delighted that the proprietor feels that BAKED BEANS are so appealing, and such a fascinating part of their core offering, that they've included a large picture of them on their wall. As I'd wager that this is the only Leeds establishment open past 2am that features the word "escalope" on its menu, you might have thought that they'd choose to illustrate something a little less commonly known. I know we're in a world of "This coffee may be hot", but pictures of beans is more "You have to pay for your food" or "Our air breathable". If you need signs like that and you're currently unsupervised, call 999 now. The menu is actually pretty varied, with a few different types of chicken, then various kebabs, burgers and something called "pastas". I'm not quite sure what these are, but I saw another guy order it and it looked like bleached worms. It came in a metal tray so maybe it's dangerous? I don't know. The chicken doner meat is probably the best on this side of the city centre though, and they also do Yorkshire puddings, which always seem like such an awesome budget takeaway idea, but I had (a very budget) one in Kirkgate market once and subsequently required 8 months of chemo, so I've gone off them a bit. At the very least, it's still somewhere you can get a portion of chips till 3am while you wait for Kadas next door to put together your chicken and cheese sandwich. If someone braves the "full roast dinner" for £5, PLEASE leave a review. The whole business premise seems to be built around catching the passing detritus from Chilli Whites at the weekend but it's dead the rest of the time, so it may not last all that long anyway.
