One fellow (who I'd assume is the owner) was both taking orders behind the counter, cleaning tables and serving the food (it was rather crowded at lunch time). While the other fellow was studiously manning the grill. The food was top-notch. Being of Serbian origin I give it my stamp of approval. Chevapi, Kajmak, Onions, Rakija. Everything you could expect from Serbian food, even the prices are like Serbia. (3eur for 10-piece Chevapi!). Marengo is one of Vienna's Bosnian grill restaurants .... and personally I think it might be the best Bosnian grill restaurant in Vienna. (it is also attractive inside.) I picked up two sudžukice sandwiches with grilled onions inside the always tasty lepinje flat bread. Marengo has the best sudžukice in Vienna ...... (the Ćevapčići or ćevapi is also excellent and I highly recommend as well.) At home I added Serbian Ajvar sauce I had picked up at the Brunnenmarkt in addition to some serious hot sauce I had brought with me from Philadelphia, My friend said that this was the best sandwich he ever ate in Vienna. There are many table size options so you can choose the table depending on your party size. There is a drawback; however, it is all over Europe because they love their cigarettes . As for the food, they maintain the quality and taste they are known for! Delicious durum and kebab, as well as a large menu of Turkish dishes with humus, salads, tsaziki... You can't go wrong with a Türkis restaurant! But somehow... I'll remain faithful to the small Türkis across the street.
