I had seen at least one other of these shops around town, and while hiking the hills of Montmartre I was lured into this one, enticed by the turquoise walls and the lure of jewel-toned shawls, scarves and sparkling jewelry.
As one might infer from the name, the offerings have an Indian flair, and the store is STUFFED: it's easy to get overwhelmed by texture, color, and choices. I ended up choosing a loose-woven scarf in shades of brown, rose and blue. Scarves are a big accessory in Paris, and easy to pack, so this was a nice souvenir!
There are apparently eight locations of Diwali around town, so chances are you'll come across one in your travels. Diwali is named for the Festival of Lights in India, and this shop's wares will definitely brighten your day! read more
